Really nice cave at the heart of the Rhodopes mountain. There's a good asphalt road to the parking next to it. Yagodinska cave has some unique creations which must be seen. I would definitely recommend visiting the cave at any time of the year!

Very interesting cave and easy to get through. The tour took approximately an hour. Got to see some interesting formations. The pearls were definitely my favorite as I haven’t seen such thing anywhere else before. Apparently people have wedding ceremonies in there too. Check it out if you are in the area!

Unfriendly and bland staff. The tour was was given hastily and without much care. The cave itself is fine though mediocre. Other caves in the Rhodopes, such as cave Lepenitsa are way more interesting.

The thing that strikes me most is the lovely gorge that you drive through first and a large river then on to the cave which was one of the longest I've ever walked through with beautiful formations cost us 7 pound English for two adults and one child a must see excellent on a hot day as very cool in there

The best cave I ever visited. Its a bit cold inside but you can breathe these like nowhere else, very good for breathing problems. The guide was very kind and funny.

Beautiful but COLD! It's about 6 degrees Celsius inside the cave even in the summer. You need to join a guided tour to get in the cave. It can get a bit boring if you don't speak Bulgarian because the tour guide stops several times to share detailed information about the cave. This means that you'll be standing in place for 10 min waiting for the guide to finish their speech before the group can move again.

Expectations over exceeded!!! Make sure you bring a Bulgarian speaker with you to translate b/c the tour is only in Bulgarian. Dress with thick jackets!! It is 6C inside. Photos are not allowed but later at the second half of the cave (the better part IMO) there weren’t any surveillance cams so… snap away.

Nice cave, surprising and weird rock formations. The goerge in which it is located is also quite impressive. Yet, for me it was a bit boring, and I had much better Krast cave experiences elsewhere. Note that there is only once in an hour entrance, and the guide doesn’t speak English.

Great caves well worth 10 levs ( 5 Euros) with a guide. The commentary is in Bulgarian so if possible visit with an English speaking Bulgarian. There is plenty to see and they have not gone over the top with fake coloured lights like some countries. The caves are humid as you would expect. 11 different species of bats live in here, so look carefully to see the little critters napping upside down 😁 I certainly think this is one of the more unusual venues to get married if you want somewhere unique! Re photos. Turn off all sound and take them quietly. The guide with us gave photo opportunities later on in the tour. We really enjoyed it. Think twice if you are elderly or unwell. You can travel on to Devils Throat from here, but be warned the steps at the end to go up to the waterfall are almost vertical and very slippery. You need b*lls and energy to climb them! We were advised that we could turn around and go back to the entrance, but then you won't see what you paid for 🤔

Guided tour through the cave. Cold (6 degrees), but great. So interesting to see. My son of 6 enjoyed it, but I don't think it's that fun for younger kids. It took around 50 mins.

It was okay. Not too big of a fan of the cave tour. Just wanted to walk through. Very cold so be prepared!

The cave was interesting. The tour guide explained what we are about to see, about formations and etc. Great sense of humour also. It is relatively easy to go thru, seems suitable for children. Had a wheelchair accessible ramp but one won't be able to go thru the whole experience. The road there is not easy, drive carefully as it is one lane. There is a parking lot and it costs 2lv to park. Unfortunately, you cannot take photos in the cave, however, almost nobody actually follows the rules.. Overall it is a great experience, I would recommend going for it.

Very preserved and beautiful cave that everybody must visit. Really nice staff who explains and tells the story of the cave and what's inside!

This is the most beautiful cave in Bulgaria! The variety of formations inside is fantastic! The guided tour starts at each hour, and the lecture is worth it! You can see bats inside, cave pearls, etc., you are allowed to take pictures of you and your family only at certain points, since they are trying to preserv the inside as much as possible. The tour takes around 45 mins, suitable for children from 3 or 4 years old, since there are some stairs inside. Bring warm clothes as the inside temperature is 6 degrees during the whole year. MUST visit <3

Very well established cave, easy to go trough even for small children. Great diversity of beautifull cave formations, unique cave perls. Nice restaurant right near by.

The cave is impressive. The tour is in Bulgarian. It lasts around 45 min, you exit 800m away from the starting point and on the way back there are tourist memorabilia stands waiting to grab your attention and your money. We we're lucky to have someone who spoke english and translated parts of the tour for us, otherwise might have been a bit boring. It gets cold in there and the kids were anxious for it to end, so dress warm and prepare them. Enjoy!

Beautiful cave, with impressive rock and calcaire formation. Unfortunately the tour guide was speaking just Bulgarian and he was in a hurry, so we didn't have the time to enjoy it properly. Also you cannot take pictures and there are no book about the cave available. The tours start at the hour each hour. Overall a good experience and the road there is magnificent.

The cave is interesting, but there are a few important things for the visitors to know: 1. It is a very young cave - 275 000 years, so for the size of the lowest level which we visited the actual cave formations were not so many. This refers only to the lowest level! Secondly the groups are very big so at the end it is difficult to see and hear everything said and pointed. And thirdly - the cave looks more like a fault, a crack; photos are not allowed which is a big disappointment.

Very large and beautiful cave with excellent organisation inside and outside. When you finish your tour, you can go eating good food next the cave.

Somewhat interesting cave. Very cold inside, wet but not slippery. The track is easy even for kids with only a few small stairways. Inside the cave one could see stalagmites, stalactites, a rockfall and the main attraction - a small collection of cave pearls. The guide explains a lot of interesting things in Bulgarian. The price of a ticket with guide in English is 20 lv. Outside the cave there is a small parking for a price of 2 lv. We visited the cave in a working day at noon and the parking was full of cars. The road to the cave is very narrow and picturesque.

Intresting cave. Wild cave. Friendly staff. Take a jacket to entry.

One of the best places in Rodopi mountains. But with a lot of tourists

  • 5/5 Stanislav G. 2 years ago on Google
Magnificent natural formations - stalactites and stalagmites. You're not allowed to touch them though - these precious formations take thousands of years to develop. No photos in the cave either. Make sure to dress well as its cold in the cave.

One of the most impressive caves in Bulgaria. The guides are very knowledgeable and present the information with a lot of humour. The path is not difficult and not many steep stairs. It's highly recommended. However, please, start accepting card payments, for God's sake!
