My
15-year
old
daughter
had
a
seizure
at
midnight
on
Saturday,
16
April
2022.
We
were
in
Pravets
and
managed
to
get
the
situation
under
control.
The
next
day
we
came
back
to
Sofia
and
contacted
Tokuda
Hospital,
requesting
for
a
doctor/
neurologist
to
check
her
and
let
us
know
how
to
proceed.
We
were
informed
that
as
there
is
no
emergency
so
we
need
not
bring
her
to
the
emergency
department.
As
no
appointment
with
a
neurologist
was
available
till
27th
April,
we
were
given
an
appointment
for
with
a
neurosurgeon,
for
18
April
at
8:30
am,
for
which
we
were
grateful.
The
neurosurgeon
suggested
an
MRI
and
mentioned
that
he
will
prescribe
an
EEG
after
seeing
the
MRI
and
asked
us
to
meet
him
with
MRI.
MRI
appointment
was
available
at
3:30-4
pm
and
the
report
was
to
be
collected
after
24
hours.
The
kind
person
in
the
neurosurgery
told
me
that
the
doctor
will
check
the
MRI
on
his
computer
and
to
come
back
next
morning.
On
19th
April,
the
concerned
doctor
was
not
available
and
another
doctor
checked
the
MRI,
said
that
the
MRI
seems
okay
and
she
does
not
need
a
brain
surgery.
For
the
rest,
we
should
go
immediately
to
a
neurologist.
The
registration
desk
said
that
as
my
daughter
is
15
years
of
age,
the
regular
neurologists
cannot
see
her
and
to
go
to
the
pediatric
department
around
the
corner.
The
pediatric
desk
told
me
that
the
pediatric
neurologist
has
next
free
appointment
on
3rd
of
May
2022.
When
I
pleaded
that
waiting
for
nearly
20
days
might
put
my
daughter’s
life
and
health
into
serious
danger,
she
relented
and
asked
me
to
come
back
at
4pm,
when
she
would
check
with
the
pediatric
neurologist
if
she
could
see
us
after
all
her
patients.
At
4:30pm,the
pediatric
neurologist
pont-blank
refused
to
meet
us
and
asked
us
to
come
on
the
3rd
May.
I
begged
and
pleaded
pointing
out
the
urgency
and
risk
to
my
daughter’s
life
at
which
she
sent
me
a
message
that
in
case
of
urgency,
I
should
go
to
Sv.
Naum
hospital.
It
was
5:30pm
by
then.
I
rushed
my
daughter
to
Sv.
Nuam,
to
find
out
that
it
is
closed
after
3:30pm.
This
is
completely
unacceptable,
as
my
daughter’s
life
has
been
put
in
danger
due
to
the
callous
and
negligent
attitude
of
the
doctors
in
Tokuda.
After
4
days,
I
still
have
not
been
able
to
get
a
doctor
at
the
hospital
to
spare
5
minutes
to
diagnose
my
child
and
ensure
that
her
life
is
not
in
danger.
Who
will
take
responsibility
if
she
gets
another
seizure
and
has
brain
damage
or
worse.
How
can
your
doctor
behave
so
callously
towards
a
child’s
well-being.
I
have
had
to
ofcourse
take
an
appointment
for
the
3rd
May
2022,
as
I
donot
speak
Bulgarian
and
am
helpless.
I
tried
to
get
online
consultation
from
India
but
the
CD
with
MRI
given
to
me
is
useless
and
cannot
be
copied
due
to
encryption.
After
wasting
4
days,
endangering
my
child’s
precious
life,
due
to
negligence
and
shirking
of
basic
humanitarian
attitude
by
your
doctor,
I
am
at
my
wit’s
end.
As
expats,
we
were
told
that
Tokuda
is
the
best
hospital
here,
but
this
is
horrible.
