Avantgarde
is
a
nice
gym
in
general,
the
staff
is
friendly,
although
I
have
only
come
across
one
staff
member
that
actually
speaks
English,
but
then
again,
the
gym
isn't
exactly
located
in
a
touristy
area,
so
I
don't
blame
them.
I
have
been
trying
to
find
a
gym
in
Plovdiv,
and
Avantgarde
probably
scores
the
highest
of
the
ones
I
have
visited.
They
have
nice
and
well
maintained
equipment,
but
with
that
said,
here's
the
reason
I
took
one
of
the
stars
away.
The
gym
is
split
up
into
different
sections.
On
the
ground
floor
level,
you
have
an
area
of
leg
day,
or
what
seems
to
be
the
womens
area,
lol.
This
is
great,
especially
as
you
don't
want
to
walk
on
stairs
after
legday,
but
I
find
that
the
area
needs
a
proper
adjustable
bench
or
two.
I
know
there
is
a
Hammer
Strengt
bench,
but
it
is
not
adjustable,
and
it
would
be
nice
if
you
could
use
the
leg
day
area
to
also
warm
up
before
your
workout
if
you
have
leg
exercises
in
your
first
couple
of
sets,
rather
than
having
to
go
upstairs
in
the
"bro"
gym
area.
And
for
warmup,
I,
personally,
need
to
use
an
adjustable
bench,
especially
because
it's
also
intimidating
to
go
upstairs
amongst
all
the
gym
bros
and
take
2
x
1.5kg
weights
to
do
some
shoulder
warm
up
exercises
and
such.
On
top
of
that,
a
cable
machine
for
kickbacks
and
a
corner
suitable
for
non-machine
barbell
hip
thrusts
would
also
be
nice.
There's
some
really
big
and
firm
box
pillows
there
already,
but
they
are
super
heavy
to
move.
Personally,
I
don't
like
using
the
machine
for
hip
thrust
as
it
doesn't
feel
good
in
my
knee
due
to
previous
injury,
but
I
just
find
that
it's
very
limited
what
you
can
get
away
with
in
terms
of
setting
up
exercises
with
loose
weights.
The
reason
for
the
other
missing
star
is
due
to
poor
ventilation
in
the
gym.
Downstairs
is
somewhat
fine,
and
this
was
maybe
a
month
ago
since
I
went
there
last
time,
it
has
gotten
hotter
since,
but
as
soon
as
you
walk
upstairs,
it's
like
walking
out
of
an
airplane
and
getting
hit
by
the
heat.
The
problem
is
probably
that
people
keep
opening
doors
and
windows
so
the
gym
can't
cool
down,
but
opening
for
ventilation
only
makes
it
worse
in
this
heat...
Anyway..
Just
some
thoughts.
It's
really
hard
to
find
a
good
gym
in
Plovdiv,
but
I'd
say
that
Avantgarde
tops
the
popular
"Pulse"
fitness;
the
prices
are
more
reasonable,
there
is
actual
functioning
A/C,
and
the
machines
are
great,
except
a
little
more
equipment
would
be
nice
downstairs
-
this
is
one
of
the
things
that
are
stopping
me
from
coming
back
as
of
now,
as
I'd
like
to
just
do
my
workout
in
a
little
"bubble"
of
my
own
rather
than
storming
up
and
down
due
to
the
layout
of
the
gym...
:)
