Didn't really know what to expect but a fascinating insight into a piece of history. The challenge is how poignant this is in the current climate with what Russia and China are doing now..... the place is set in a beautiful forest but the whole set up is scary yet fascinating. From the underground bunkers to the 4 silos that held the nukes and the simulation room showing the impact of a "small" warhead.... needs to be seen to hopefully teach us a lesson of where we really don't want to be.

Big and good maintained ex soviet shuttle army base. Easy accessible. Entrance fee 8eur and you can visit this place by yourself, no need for excursion times or guided tours. Worth visiting.

What a great place to visit. Been here years ago at the end of the 90th before the museum opened. Really nicely done. Recommend

If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting the site of an old abandoned Soviet nuclear silo. You will learn a lot of history and get a good feel for what it was like to be someone who was in one of these things during the cold war. Tickets are cheap, parking is easy and free, it's a nice drive through a beautiful area and a great trip through history. Ask to rent the audio device so that you can hear the stories explained to you in your language of choice.

A fairly unique place, not only for Lithuania, but in general - you don't get to visit a decommissioned '70s nuclear missile silo much, do you?;) Eerie atmosphere, lots of original equipment, pretty good exhibition as well.

Unfortunately it was nothing special, the entry should be 3-5€ instead of 10€ in my opinion. The only reason we visited this place is because of the lake next to it :) we have spent around 20 minutes inside as it is smaller than expected, so don't be too excited about it.

Great place and a must see in Lithuania. You can get inside the silos, see how the base was set up and working back in times. Surrounded by a forrest, lake nearby, quite remote.

This place is really worth a visit. The old missile silos are in place, and a very interesting and thought-provoking exhibition has been built in the premises.

Amazing educational experience during this excursion. Definitely recommend this place. ☺️ You’ll see plenty of original rooms, walls and many more details. Great place to learn more about cold war between US and SSRS.

The history of this place is remarkable. Just being so close to where it all “could” have happened.

Great place, good job Lithuania, while others destroy you preserve it. Good place to see how it was and that at some point nothing has changed in world leadership since.

Too expensive after July 1, 2022. 10eu for a 30-40min excursion is a bit too much. There would be nice to have an option to go without a guide, because everything is written down in the museum

Great place to visit, but on the downside, it is located in the remote area. Plan around 1-1.5 h to spend there

Kind of an old school museum, but the atmosphere of the place is thrilling! They got audio guides in En, De, Ru and there is a lot of reading with EN translations in the bunker. Highlight of the visit is to take a look into the missile silo.

Cool place, and eerie quite obviously. A bit off-putting with a 12€ entrance fee for the quality of the display. It was very impressive to see the missile site up close, to see the actual thing. There were signs explaining things outside, not the newest but quite informative. The museum inside explained quite well the purpose and workings of the missile site. Cool how the installing of new missiles were displayed with video. You could see the rooms used for storing fuel, the control room, and the top half of the missile silo. And it was satisfying that not everything was cordoned off but you could see the exposition itself, but also some of the rooms that were not meant for the public.

Amazing. Recommend to take a tour. Sad that metal thieves stole a lot of items back in the day

12eur adult ticket, guide every hour. Most of the original equipment is gone, but the museum, story and nuclear missle sillo are pretty cool

Amazing place to visit, make sure you get a guide, because do to nature of abandoned building some items are missing, and without a guide it might get tricky to understand what was in some rooms. Also it is rare site to visit so pop in untill its still there.

Very concentrated experience from the cold war. Very well worth the trip. A big thank you for allowing me to park my motorbike inside the dance/in front of the cameras. Will do another trip to this area with more time.

Fascinating site with extensive displays covering the comprehensive history of the Cold War. Our shore excursion visit felt a little rushed, better if you can go on your own and take the time to absorb everything in depth.

In my opinion best museum in the area. If English speaking, get a guide or video guide. For me personally the biggest experience was the guns and the launch shaft.
