Simply five stars! Great food for a tiny price. For two main meals and a soup prepare to pay just around 10-12 euros. Hosts are really nice and welcoming. But better speak Lithuanian as there is no menu. Owner will come and tell you what she has for today. Be prepared to wait in a queue as this place is very popular. Especially on the weekends. And choose wisely as potions are really huge! If you won't finish, they will provide your with take away container. Great place to visit, worth a detour if you're going to the seaside. And you'll get candy's afterwards :)

Food portion are insanely big! And it tastes really good. People love this place because it's cheap and tasty. Strange thing is that where are only one menu for 50 people and you have to wait for it so long. Staff is friendly but everything looks like chaos!

Samogitian gem! Food is not the most important thing at this point. People go here to experience the Samogitian spirit, the sincere communication of the hosts, to remember the feeling that everyone has long forgotten and of course to taste traditional Lithuanian dishes.

This amazing place is definitely one of the gems of west Lithuania. Every minute of your time you will feel hospitality and care. Each dish will remind homemade mother's food with love and care. Interior is simple, but in the same time capturing your eyes and giving you retro vibe. Prices are insanely good having in mind food quality and plate sizes. We took extra 30 minutes off our trip route to try food at Pakalnutė and it was so worth it. Looking forward on our next visit ☺️

This is a great place to have a lot, tasty and cheap food. In the picture: half a portion of smoked pork ribs. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely come again 😁 service might seem a bit weird as the hostess has a very strong character and is mostly super busy with a lot of customers but foos is not any worse from that 🙂

I went here on a hot summer day, hoping to eat something refreshing and delicious, but what I got wasn't good. the food was cheap in big portions (I ordered half a portion of pork ribs and the size was like XXL) and tasted cheap. the pork ribs weren't terrible but there was no menu and the waiter literally didn't let us choose the food, she told us what we should eat and didn't even ask if it was ok. again, I went there on a hot summer day and the inside was hotter than outside, no ventilation and hard to breathe. can't pay with card, only cash. I regret going there. I don't reccommend.

Good busy place right in front of beautiful church in small city centre. They clearly need more staff, because service is slow. Impressive huge portions, tasty and cheap. Definitely this place is not for great food pictures, but most likely you will leave happy and full.

Don't miss this opportunity to explore this local restaurant. You won't regret it. It's indeed a unique place you will find nowhere in Lithuania, only in Salantai. The soup was great, the ribs - the portion was huge, the chicken with mushrooms - huge again. The prices amazed us. Make sure you come with empty stomach:)

The place is great. The service is a little different. Not bad, different. The food is quite delicious, really nice Lithuanian flavors. The portion sizes ar huge, barely fit in the plate. And for all this amazing food the price was ridiculously low compared to the bigger cities. Kudos to the owner, she's like a real grandma.

Absolutely amazing! Atmosphere, service, Not many places left like this. Food very good, portions huge. Friendly prices. No menu, not a lot of options, but super tasty. If you want a posh place with lousy food, this is not for you.

They don't understand a word of English, but that is to be expected if you want an authentic local experience. Another guest helped me order. The food and beer was amazing, the portion large, the hostess kind and all of it for 8 euros. Well worth a drive to visit.

Loved it! Very best food, service and atmosphere. A place where natives comes to eat like at home and foreigners to taste the culture.

The most authentic place I’ve ever eaten in. They don’t have menu, the waitress tells you what you should eat, which I liked. Great food and service, will definitely come back.

Hearty meal of chicken escalope washed down with a large beer for €10. Atmosphere not improved by loud Europop videos and communication a little difficult unless you speak Lithuanian or Russian, but Google Translate helps. Definitely worth a visit for a unique experience.

A really quirky place. We'd read reviews so knew to expect no choice of menu. The word 'chicken' was the only English spoken so we were happy to go with that and had a delicious meal with chips and loads of different vegetable garnishes. Very generous portions and large beers - 20 euros for the two of us so incredible value for money. Highly recommended (apart from the Europop videos on the large TV screen...).
