A famous seaside view place amongst locals. Parking is paid in summer and around 300m walk from it to observation deck. There is also bicycle lane leading to the place from Klaipeda - round trip of ~25km

Nice place. I was expecting more. Forest and beach, as in all baltic countries, just bit high. There is no way or stairs to beach near the view point, need to walk ~1 km to left side when you stand to sea view to get to stairs.

Wonderful natural attraction around Klaipėda, must visit. It is in Karklė and for those you love nature and nice walk through the wood. Take cup of hot tea and enjoy the view. The view point is above the sea. Good pathway to the view point. One of the beautiful natural attraction's.

Beautiful forest leading to a stunning view of the Baltic Sea. Enjoy the scenery, the scent of the mix between the elements and a lovely white beach with cute stones. Look for amber!

Amazing views over the sea and the nearby forest. I'd you ever are in the vicinity of Klaipeda, then you for sure should set some time away for this. Was here for around 2 hours and still didn't see all so you can set away a few hours if you want to go and see the whole beach and adjacent forest. Parking is available near the road that's goes thru the forest. The closest one is paid parking, but there's plenty a bit farther away near forest trails that are free if you don't mind walking a bit.

The place is great for a tourist activities or for a picnic, for photo sessions and weddings. You can pick rocks and try to find amber (better to do it at spring after the sea storms) The views are very cool and there's many trails and stairs. Was there 3 times. Very unusual place!

"The Dutchman's Cap (Lithuanian: Olando kepurė) is a hill with a 24.4 m high bluff, which is in Lithuania's Seaside Regional Park, near Karklė and 2 km north of Giruliai on the Baltic Sea coast. It was created 12000–15000 years ago during the last Baltic glaciation. The name stems from an alleged similarity of the high bank to a mariner's cap. The hill is a parabolic dune created by aeolian processes on a moraine ridge. The location is now subject to strong erosion by the Baltic Sea, which is exposing various-sized boulders from the moraine. As a consequence, boulder rubble has accumulated on the so-called beach. As the bluff's base is destroyed, earth slips down the bluff's entire face, in an example of mass wasting. The Dutchman's Cap has long been a navigational guide for sailors and fishermen, and so in the early 19th century, markers were erected here, and have been shown on charts ever since. A view of the sea with a steep shoreline and stony beaches opens up here. The top of the bluff is a good place to watch birds flying above the sea."

Great beach but I didn't see the Dutchman and I lost my sandal. Don't recommend bringing your cat. Hank (my cat) thought the sand was a beautiful litterbox and that caused a little bit of a commotion even though I did eventually clean it all up (not with my missing sandal). Hank also didn't appreciate the water even though we didn't get in I think the loud noises was a bit much for him. If you see my sandal please let me know, it was purple and green.

Very great place to chill, catch great views and have a calm lay on the beach. I really liked that it is much quieter and way more beautiful place than Palanga.

The park behind is wonderful but the beach when you get there is tiny to walk along if there is rough sea.

🫤 It was dirty, sheets and even towel stained... mattresses.. it was disgusting. We are pretty sure on one of the sofas upstairs were blood stains.. the looks outside are really not what's inside of the house. This house is more suitable for parties and leaving as soon after. Location is good though.
