5€ entry per person is fair for an interesting collection of gruesom oddities such as this. It took us about 30 minutes to look around and the kids found it interesting. It makes you feel lucky to be alive now and not when these devices and methods were used 🙈

It was a fun place to visit. The lack of air conditioning made it hard to handle. If you don't read the signs next to the devices you will be done in 5 minutes. Still interesting and definitely an experience. The price is in my opinion a bit too high for what there is to see.

Small place but quite a number of exhibits with mostly good explanations - 10 Euros entrance fee is ok but on the higher side. The söirit of this small "museum" definitely changes your mood and makes you think about past and up-to-date torture practices

My first time visiting this kind of museum. I was attracted by the chair on the poster outside, only during the visit I discovered that it was in another location of the same museum. The pieces displayed have a description but any etiquette indicating the provenance. Are they a copy?! The person in charge of selling ticket did not wear a covid mask despite it was still mandatory in museums. The visit doesn’t worth 10 euros.

Interesting to know the machines and tools used for torture in the middle age. Rich and sad story! Interessante conhecer as maquinas e ferramentas utilizadas para tortura na idade média. Rica e triste história! È interessante conoscere le macchine e gli strumenti usati per la tortura nel Medioevo. Storia ricca e triste!

Awesome selection of man's most vile and gruesome ways to inflict pain on other human beings with the intent to mutilate and/or kill.

Very impressive, also the descriptions of each torture instrument, even if a bit scary.

Fantastic collection of mideval torture devices. very thorough explanation of their use. I walked out of here a bit disturbed but I Guess that's the point right.

Horrific way to bring a sense of balance to the beautiful aspects of a holiday - just a 20-30 minute visit, and it's worthwhile.

It is quite interesting but not worth it for 10€ or 7€ as reduced price!

It has every historical torture device you can think of. It was so interesting and I would definitely recommend a visit while you are in Lucca

👍👍 Superb small museum, recreating 2000 years of the city's history. The museum is very small, but shows the remains of a Roman house (domus) found in the foundations of a modern building. The guides are very erudite and give many explanations about the history of the city. I highly recommend visiting...
