Ms Matilda’s have started serving dinner Friday & Saturday nights. The special is a Scotch Fillet Steak for $22.90. My husband and I both had this cooked medium rare, one with veggies and one with salad. Both had chips. Well let me start by saying, our taste buds have been blown away by top quality taste. Everything, is prepared fresh. No packaged items at all. We shared a homemade pavlova which was divine and the owner kindly gave us a sticky date pudding to share. It is so nice to know we can now go somewhere to dine and know that the food will be fresh, tasty, delicious and doesn’t break the bank. Go, you will not be disappointed at all. We will be going back every week and will be telling people to go. Thank you for the most amazing dining experience we have ever had.

Wasn’t aware there were new owners until I read another review. This bowl of chips is $8. Used to be double the size. I know prices have gone up (beyond their control) but this is ridiculous. Staff also need to look clean and more presentable.

Grabbed a coffee to go, and the wait was atrocious. Elder staff seemed to limit their responsibilities and as such there was no fluid movement to complete the orders in a timely manner. Customers walking out in disgust, and angry waiting takeaway customers.

Came here for a quick coffee and carrot cake. The coffee was decent, but the carrot cake was stale and old. I couldn't even eat it.

Terrible. Requested no cheese four times, food arrived with cheese. Ordered toasted sandwich with onion x 2 no onion. The cook is fabulous but please make sure person taking orders has ears which aren't painted on.

Coffee was decent but there was confusion over the menu with a new staff member signage says toasties come with a side of fries but apparently not. $16 for a cheese, chicken and avo toastie as we say in Nz yea nah

Thinly sliced processed chicken strips has no place on a $12.95 “gourmet chicken sandwich”. Don’t expect cutlery or napkins to accompany your meal.

Very slow service. I ordered a BLT. Quite tasty, but bacon was cold and lettuce mix substituted for cos lettuce, which was stated on menu. Won't return.

Generally good food with friendly staff, but a couple of times recently it has taken way too long to get the meal. Today, at lunchtime it took around 35-40mins from ordering before I got my meal. A little disappointing! Hopefully things improve.

Food and coffee is ok, but after several visits I've found that the service is generally very poor.

Ordered couple or Soy milk coffees...the soy milk used is of low quality while being charged full extra price for soy milk. A coffee opposite this shop is much much better. My advice for them is to use premium soy milk please. Thanks

What a great little coffee shop in the midst of corio shopping centre. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will come here again soon.

Nice coffee/cafe shop with a good simple ambience. Latte was super cheap but nice. More creamy than strong but it hit the spot. Older clientele which is nice. Floor needs a clean but it’s spotless elsewhere. Thank you and good job
