Serene and tranquil. Easy to get to by car but limited parking. Expect a quiet reflective experience and please try to be respectful. I saw a few tourists refuse to take their shoes off, wearing inappropriate attire and were taking photos of the actual temple - not cool. There is a beautiful giant banyan tree where you can sit and on stones and meditate. A must!

The Hindu monastery is tranquil and beautiful. The relaxing atmosphere when walking around the grounds are amazing. With beautiful landscaping and the sounds of the birds chirping and the water flowing in the background give you such a calming sense of peace. The majestic banyan tree is an awesome place for meditation as you sit under the tree. A must see when visiting the garden island.

This place is magical, and out of no where in Kauai. The temple is a very very authentic Indian/Hindu. Morning aarti/prayer is enchanting and full of Hindu rituals. The big banyan tree and five faced lord Shiva is very unique. Staff is very welcoming, so humble and helpful. This place is from 1969 and there are around 20 Hindu monks who live here and maintain the place.

Beautiful and tranquil Hindu temple in the middle of the forest. The temple has most of the deities and the priest is friendly. There's a new temple being built close by, which will be stunning when finished. Well worth the detour to visit, you will be moved and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

This place is heaven on earth. Even though we couldn't visit the main temple (we needed to make a reservation), the area and surroundings were breathtaking. The parking lot is small. The temple is closed 12-4, so make sure to go early and enjoy peaceful time.

This place has changed. Years ago you could see so much more of it. We loved it and thought it was one of the most beautiful places on the island. Now it is small and has very little to really see. The view over the river is gratefully still there and is spectacular.

Very intimate, serene, inspiring and special place, where one would not expect. The temple being built by simple tools, started in 1992 from granite blocks, is simply awe inspiring. I'm not a follower of Hinduism but I certainly can appreciate. Worth the visit. There are mosquitoes so prepare. Must make reservations for only tour of the day and to pray in shrine. There is a meditation area. Dress humbly and respectfully. No shorts or tank tops, barefoot, cell phones on silent, and absolutely no pics in prayer temple. Very, very cool.

Another immensely sacred place found in Kauai , very close to the rudraksha forest. You can attend puja by appointment only. The temple has limited hours each day, so check out the website and try to get an appointments. One of the holiest temple of lord shiva. Feel the divine vibes inside the temple. Temple has outstanding idols of lord shiva , natraj and lord Ganesh.

Beautiful and quick stop to visit. I would highly recommend this place as it is close to Lihue airport and won’t take up much of your time. Feels serene, calm and sacred when you visit. Just check the timings before you visit on google as the place is not open all the time.

Peaceful landscape, beautiful gardens, nice views. Accessible by car. The gardens are wheelchair accessible. There's a store with things to purchase (Hindu religion related but also other things). The parking lot is medium size and a bit narrow (plenty of spaces available when we visited late morning, week day). Long wear (long pants, long skirt) is required for both men and women but shawls are provided at the entrance in case someone doesn't have it.

Beautiful Shiva temple. A must visit if you plan to visit Kaua’i. Remember to dress appropriately. They have a nice store to purchase idols and other things. Do not miss the Rudraksha Forest, which is really close to the temple.

Such a great place to visit. The views of the new temple are incredible. Our 10 year old enjoyed it. I wish I would have read a primer on Hindu prior. Modest clothes required but they provide sarongs if you have on shorts and tanks. Donation box available.

Beautiful place to visit if you are in Kauai. Tucked inside of lush greenery, it is so peaceful just to be there. Also, it is very well maintained.

Beautiful temple with authentic South Indian style idols. Some of the idols are got in from Bangalore, India . You need a reservation to get to the main temple . There are wrap around skirts kept at the entrance of the temple . Dressing modest would be ideal. A must visit.

Absolutely stunning place! 🌺 This is one of my favorite places that we visited on the island. We did not do the tour, but spent a good amount of time here. Everyone was very kind and the grounds were incredible!

Amazing hidden gem on Kauai! The views of the river are breathtaking and the meditation banyan tree is amazing and really inspires you to want to take a moment to sit back and relax.

If your looking to take in a spiritual beautiful experience? Then this is a must see. A place to take the whole family or group of friends. Don't have to be a Hindu to experience this beautiful place. There guided tours or explore on your own. There is a gift shop with trinkets and snacks. The incense is wonderful and well priced from India hand made. The marble temple is hand made without any machinery.
