Very dirty. Blood stain on shower curtain, rugs in hallways not vacuumed, trash container in the breakfast area stank. Wallpaper in the room peeling off the wall, and gouges in the wall. The dirt on the base of the brass colored lamp was so thick that it looked like brass that was tarnished, but if you scraped at it, you could see it was dirt. The room was generally dirty. There was an odor of either mold or urine in the room; more pronounced in the bathroom. There was someone sleeping in the breakfast area on the long couch against the wall with all of their belongings around them. The staff was friendly, which is why I gave 2 stars on service. When we checked out I was trying to figure out what I would say if someone asked me, "Was everything ok?" but no one asked that question. I guess they knew the answer.

Staff was very nice. I would not recommend the hotel. There was trash overflowing for > 24 hours at the entrance, the windows were all leaking, smelled like mildew, the pool was closed due to a roof leak, the pull out couch in the room was stained, wallpaper peeling off in the bathrooms. The bathroom was dirty enough that I decided to wait until I got home to shower. The staff was very nice, but the state of the hotel was very run down and dirty.

Do yourself a favor and don't stay here. The whole hotel has an obvious mold problem, it's overall damp and unhealthy to be in. Our initial room had wet carpets, and our new room has wet tile (maybe because the window was left open). I have a strong allergy to mold and my throat/eyes are burning. Would have went elsewhere but I didn't have the energy to wrestle for a refund and rebooking somewhere else for a one night stay. Again, stay at a cheap motel if this is your price range. Either mold remediation needs to be done here or the place condemned.

Disgusting hotel…DO NOT STAY HERE!!! GETS A ZERO I’m a frequent traveler and honestly, where do I begin; area is questionable with individuals roaming around that did not appear to be guests. Located behind a gas station near a freeway. Lobby is very rundown. Upon check in noticed a sign that said pool is not in service. Breakfast and seating area was also very rundown. Checked in late afternoon and noticed breakfast items were still sitting out. Didn’t take a chance on eating the free breakfast. Tables were dirty and chairs were broken. Cushions on benches were worn down through the fibers. Third floor carpets smelled musty and had large amounts of stains on them, up and down the hallways. Room 305 was awful! Bathroom was dirty and soap dispenser was missing from the wall. Shower faucet head was green with algae. Every door had finger and handprints on them. Towels had holes in them. Carpet was stained. Couch was tattered. Desk was wobbly and chair was broken. Window was moldy. Kitchenette had an apple in the top cupboard and someone’s grocery bag in the lower cabinet with some packaged remnants left behind inside. Tried to use the fitness area and the treadmill was broken. The room next door locked themselves out late in the night and front desk had to let them in and then they stayed up partying until 3am. Sadly, between the extremely loud air conditioning unit, intermittently running, and the inconsiderate neighbors…we didn’t get a good nights sleep. Left to get food and when we arrived back to hotel a police and EMS vehicle were on the property, not sure why. The last straw was having to fight for clean towels. There was a leaking shower incident that soaked the bathroom floor and we had to use the towels to mop it up. I asked the floor housekeeper to exchange them and she said I’d have to ask the front desk. They informed me they had none and I’d have to wait (this took HOURS) for clean ones. I finally went back and said I have to have some since we needed showers. They miraculously found some. I should have cut my losses, checked out and stayed elsewhere. Management, I don’t need your canned response, perhaps you contact me for some monetary compensation. Holiday Inn should remove their brand name.

In the last 20 years of traveling, I've stayed in just about every kind of hotel there is, and mostly good ones. I've been here for several weeks, because I'm so comfortable I just don't want to leave. Google lists this as a 2 star hotel for some reason, but I would definitely rate this hotel as at least the higher end of a 3 star. The rooms are beautiful and have all the nice touches you'd expect from a 4 star hotel--fancy sheets and blankets, stylish furniture, a nice jacuzzi bath, a clean laundry that works well, fresh delicious coffee downstairs, and a Kurig if I don't want to leave the room, and all in a very clean and attractive atmosphere, in an nice placid wooded area. The manager Jennifer runs a very effective staff that actively anticipates everything I need. In those rare times when I do have to ask, they respond immediately, and with an attitude of anxiously wanting to help, and really caring whether I'm satisfied. Samantha has a delicious breakfast waiting reliably every single morning, and Robert, Todd, and Maureen are always there when I need anything, day or night. They answer the phone promptly, they handle any request in minutes, and the entire staff constantly projects an air of both formal professionalism and approachable friendliness. I have very rarely stayed in a hotel where I can't find a single thing to complain about, so this hotel gets 5 stars--a rating I don't think I've ever given before.

Unfortunately this was the worst hotel experience ever. Initial trouble started when calling ahead to check-in to make sure mom & baby could check in since they would be arriving before me. It took about 40min of continuous calling to reach anyone at the front desk and when they finally answered, they asked me to hold and put the phone down where I could hear them continue a casual conversation. When I finally arrived late at night, the lady at the front desk never said hello and I asked to get a room key and info about my room number, etc. I get to my room and call down to the desk to get extra pillows and sheets for the pull out for our toddler - sure enough no answer at the front desk after trying for minutes and I was just down there right before. I go down to the front desk and there are two workers sitting there not answering the phone. I ask for pillows and sheets and they say there are no more pillows, then proceed to hand me a BLOOD STAINED PILLOW without a pillow case. Unacceptable by any standard. Then ask for another pillow and they finally bring one out. The next morning, room service comes into the room at 830am without knocking or announcing and wakes up our toddler after a long day of travel. On our last day, we go down to the lobby to get breakfast and our toddler is eating her cereal and the person from the front desk comes into the breakfast room and tells us we are not to be sitting and hanging out in the room when staff needs to clean the room. At this point, it's not even 11am and breakfast is stopped at 1030am, but my kid can't finish her cereal before being kicked out? I have never seen such a poorly managed and executed level of service at a hotel for all phases of the visit.

We spent the night there last s Saturday in room 114. All night heard some one running and jumping on floor above us and at 0200 there was a leak in bathroom ceiling so bad that they was a bulge in dry wall. They moved us to another room but in the morning my wife got one of her stressm migraines we did stay until 130 pm Sunday but got charged full price $140 X2. Last time I use Holiday express after they said they'd give me a break

My family and I stayed their approximately a month ago. While we stay their yearly to visit with family. This time was absolutely horrible. While my family was eating in the breakfast area. Let me start with the food was good, very clean, the woman who was working was very professional and kept it extremely clean and was very professional and personal to every guest. Well, let me start with my niece has autism and was having a very difficult morning, it was busy in their but all of a sudden a blonde haired woman came into the breakfast bar right up to our table and told us we needed to remove the child because it was disrupting other guests and they were complaining. We explained, we are guests as well. However she didn't care and asked us to leave. We tried to explain she is autistic and the woman came back with a comment of if she is having issues remove her from the problem area. We all felt it was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional and wrong. To make matters even worse, when we starting leaving from the breakfast area, she walked back into the breakfast bar and apologized to the guests and said, " If you don't know how to parent you shouldn't have children and told the guest she was sorry and now she hopes everyone can enjoy their breakfast now that the screaming child is gone." Within minutes her parents demanded to speak to the office manager and she said she is the manager. They demanded to speak to someone else which she said was not possible. They asked her what right she had to speak like that about a child, let alone one with autism. She said regardless of autism it's your job to control your child their are other guests. She said if they don't stop making a scene she would ask us to leave. Which we felt she had no right to speak to us like this let alone act like this. She told us she will not speak about this anymore because she has things to do and if we don't go to our rooms or leave she will have the Police come here and remove us all. Guests literally walked passed the front desk hearing every word she said. Not one person tried to help us until she started screaming at us about calling the cops. The breakfast attendant came over and tried to apologize and say it's all a big misunderstanding, in regards to asking you guys to remove the child from the breakfast bar. She stated that multiple guests were complaining about the child. So, the only thing she could do to try and make everyone happy was to come to you guys and ask if she could help or if you guys could politely leave the breakfast area until the child wasn't crying or screaming any longer. She also stated that either way everyone wasn't going to be happy. But, her intention was to try and defuse the situation by asking you guys to remove the child until she wasn't crying anymore. She apologized for having to be put in that situation but tries to explain that the end goal was to make everyone happy. Regardless if the manager was trying to make everyone happy, everything she said and how she acted was wrong. We will never come back to that hotel ever. And if that is someone you think is a good face for your hotel you guys are sadly mistaken. Besides the food being good and our rooms being ok. This place will never be a place our family will ever come back to ever, knowing how she spoke about our autistic family member makes it even more disgusting.

Room was dirty - bedding hadn't been washed (hair and sand in the bed). They "upgraded" us from a king room to two queens. Bedding in the new room also not clean, hardly any towels, and hair all over in the sink. We got a refund and left.

Checked into the hotel that we booked through a 3rd party site because it was a good deal. Got to our room and the mattress pad had blood stains on it. The pool was out of service. Since we booked through a 3rd party could not get a refund. So we took our loss and drove 25 minutes to a different hotel. Unless you are looking for a deal and don't care about cleanliness I would NOT RECOMMEND

We stayed here because we were in town for a big wrestling tournament. The rooms were nice. The phone in the room didn't work but that was my only complaint. We had to be at the tournament before 7, and breakfast didn't open until 7. The lovely staff had opened a little early for the families that had to be at the wrestling tournament. The staff was very nice and welcomed any requests I had. Good hotel with a great staff.

Upon checking in, my room was not ready, 10 minutes before I was walking in with two children. The women behind the desk were pleasant, but in no rush to check me in . They continued their conversation, as we waited for their "systems " to update . I pulled out my ID and credit card, only for her to not even bother to take any of them. They charged the card on file without asking, even though I handed them a different one . I finally get to my room and the hallway smells, but it's not overwhelming. My room did not smell clean! I had to re-spray down the entire room and beds, I also had to open up a window . It smelled of sweat and what ever else went on in there. The rooms have high ceilings, so they feel very rooming and nice, but you can hear EVERYTHING going on upstairs . It was extremely annoying. I still give 3 stars because no one was rude and the breakfast was pretty good. Good for a quick stay . Also the pool was out of service.

Bad service, horrible room! OK mind you this room was booked for a month. When I arrived the elevator was out of service, comma not that big of a deal mechanical issues. So we had to take the stairs the stairwell smelled of urine and was absolutely filthy covered with mud and dirt. We get to the 3rd floor where our room is mine too mind you I was told the room should be clean.. We arrived after the 3 o'clock check in time. The cleaning lady was literally in our room "cleaning". I walk into the room everything appears to be fine we're in here for about a 1/2 hour and I noticed dirty clothes from previous cuffs of ours underneath underneath the dressers, Then I noticed the stains on the comforter, And the dirt and dust on basically every single furniture piece. I didn't A fuss because literally every hotel in this town was sold out because it is a statewide rap they state wide wrestling tournament. We leave in the morning to go to breakfast at 6:30 AM and literally everything is out besides muffins and milk. Said something to the front desk and they said that's all it was available at the time And no effort to resupply anything for us or further guests. Came back at 8 o'clock that evening roof service never came into the room to clean up the trash or dirty towels. And the do not disturb sign was never put on the front of the door. Went and asked for towels and was told no they were not available. Basically all I can say is it was a bed to sleep in for a 130 bucks a night definitely not worth it. Could have went to the sleazbag hotel down the road probably had a better experience.

The staff here that I dealt with were very nice. The rooms are in severe need of a modernizing makeover. It was reminiscent of staying at a run down Days Inn. My lamp and outlets didn't work and there were crumbs all over the floor. I would not stay here again unless I saw that there was a recent remodel. Breakfast eggs were burned.

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights for a wedding we were both in. We reserved a king bed for Friday and Saturday (we made these reservations back in May, for October). When we arrived, we were checked into a room with two queens. The room was kind of gross, there was blue cleaner repentants all over the bathroom like someone had sprayed it but never bothered to wipe it down. The towels were old and falling apart. There was a random piece laying under our sink. I was going to just let it go, since the price was the same, but then we noticed our fridge didn’t close all the way and was not keeping anything cold. We had driven in from Atlanta, GA so we had a few beverages from the trip as well as champagne for the wedding festivities. We went to the front desk and spoke to a woman (in a pink track suit, with headphones in, watching Netflix on her phone). She basically said we were given two queens as a “complimentary upgrade due to inventory”…not sure how a king to two queens is an upgrade? She also was not able/willing to do anything about our fridge. She asked several times if we “really needed it”. (Um…yes?) and suggested we “prop a chair against it to keep it shut”. She said she had only been there for a month but would have someone else help us later (he never called our room like we were told he would). I asked if we could be moved to a King the next morning and she said they were fully booked. I thought it was funny that the next morning, when the rest of the wedding party checked in, they ALL got king rooms! The highlight was definitely one of the groomsman (former exterminator) finding bed bug droppings under their mattress and being told there was nothing that could be done for them… Absolutely terribly experience, terrible customer service, and no discount or anything offered to make this right for us! Such a shame, considering my fiancé and I were considering using this hotel for our wedding next September.

THE WORST hotel I have EVER stayed in. They made us wait until we could check in because NONE of the rooms were ready. The front desk agent was beyond rude about it. The owner had his Audi parked in the porte cochere which then required for me to park. The curtains had mold on them. Wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. A piece of trim fell off of the wall and fell on me. It was literally disgusting. I cannot believe I paid as much as I did to stay here.

My husband and I stay here once a week for work. Robert and Moreen are the BEST employees and treat you like family. Rooms are clean, as well as common areas. Breakfast has a great variety of options. We love this Holiday Inn Express

We were only there one night and was not impressed. I book exclusively with IHG as a club member so I've seen a fair share of the Holiday Inn Express's across the state. I get the feeling that they were understaffed as when we arrived, the desk guy was away assisting another guest who was having trouble getting into his room - no problem! I was then promptly checked in. Our room was clean-ish - the bed had some sort of dirt on it which was unsettling. The tub was comfortable but didn't feel like it had been cleaned in a while. Other than that the stay was normal...until about 10:00. There was a baseball team or something staying there and the walls/doors were paper thin. They were out in the pool room with the pool room door wide open and screaming their heads off until 11:00. The sound echoed up the entire side of the building to the 3rd floor where we were staying. We didn't try and contact the front desk as we figured they'd settle down eventually. Nope. They brought the party upstairs and continued to be a nuisance until midnight. I don't blame the hotel for that one bit but it was the icing on the already mediocre cake. We had stayed the previous night at the H.I.E. in New Philadelphia and they were so much better and cleaner. I was not impressed considering this was an over $200 stay.

Horrible hotel. Our room was so humid the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, lights were corroding and there was mold growing on the window treatments. Gross. Breakfast was nothing to speak about. They had 2 tvs on in the breakfast area both set on different channels and both turned up loud. Nothing like competing morning news broadcasts when you're trying to enjoy a mediocre breakfast. Coffee was weak. Overall outdated and falling apart

The hotel is nice, pretty clean, desk staff was super nice and helpful. Unfortunately the elevator is broken and apparently has been broken for a while. So, book early if you want the first floor. Breakfast was ok. Nicest part was the Watkins bath products in the shower and the beds are comfy.

We stayed here in the beginning of March. We decided to book this hotel, and pay a little more because there was an workout room and pool. That was a waste of money. When we arrived the elevator wasn't working and we were on the second floor. Not a huge deal for us as we are in shape and had just stuff for an overnight. We also noticed a sign saying the pool had been recently filled and might not be as warm as usual. I didn't think that would be a huge issue, I grew up swimming in lakes where the water was often chilly. We left our stuff and went to what we were in town for. The next morning I got up early to get in a run on the treadmill, Error Code! After fidgeting and trying to restart it , it still wouldn't work. Fine, I would get in some swim time. I got in the pool and it was COLD, but I told myself it would be OK. After swimming to one side and back I decided it was NOT OK and it was VERY COLD!! Fine I would at least grab a coffee before going up, as I looked for sugar and actually saw someone to ask, I was told they had no sugar and had been out of it for days!! I know there are supply chain issues, but no sugar??? All I can say is never again!

Overnight stay. Had good experiences with Other Holiday Inn Express properties but not this one. Staff was friendly and helpful but that’s the high point. The room looks like it hasn’t been updated or maintained in years. The rug was old and turned up at the edge. The recycling chair was broken and in poor condition. The TV didn’t work. Tried to call down to the desk, phone was dead and the lamp flickered. Walked back down to the desk to deceive my issues. To their credit the staff upgraded us to a larger suite room which was better but again not updated in many years. Went to breakfast at the hotel the next morning after showering where the tub was backing up to find the juice dispenser wasn’t working and no water was offered. Left to check out the pool to find it closed with yellow tape across one of the mechanical rooms. All of this after paying a room fee of $180 plus taxes. That’s what I got trying to stay close to the highway and deciding not to stay with my first choice which was further away. I would never stay at that property in its current condition.

The staff are very accommodating. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. I've been here for 3 weeks now working. I've only had breakfast a handful of times because nobody is here to prepare it. So don't depend on that. Probably be disappointed. Other than that very pleased with my stay.
