I was a vegetarian since January 2020 for my health and made the switch to become a vegan since August 2020 for ethical reasons. Growing up in the small city of Boardman with not a lot of vegan options, I truly appreciate the owner for opening up this business. I visited Ely's for the first time today and got the BLT (which I ate immediately when I got into my car), chicken noodle soup, and chicken nuggets. The BLT tasted so delicious that I plan on making a visit weekly for that dish. I would 10/10 recommend this business, and the employees were very nice too. I love that Ely's also has vegan snacks, vegan cheese, and frozen vegan foods that you can buy. It's like a mini vegan grocery store that also serves fresh tasty food!!! I am a very happy customer.

I miss living 2 mins away from ely's in a way I can't even describe. I've been a massive fan of this food since it was initially being sold out of a tiny part of the counter at the Bread Chef next door. It makes me feel energized and I look forward to it every single time. It's definitely very different after the change in ownership, but still so wonderful and it's awesome to not have to race over there early in the morning (now that it's open more days and longer hours) to get my food before it sells out. The old classics like the Vietnamese options and "chicken" nuggets are still the same and very delicious, and I love the newer additions like the bao and the bubble tea!

Mr and my friend really enjoyed our lunch at this clean and friendly place. I had a lot of flavors in my mouth and knowing they were all plant based made me very happy 😊

Ordered ahead, ready on time. Greeter was extremely pleasant and the buffalo chicken wrap was amazing - so full of flavor!

2023 UPDATE I typically do not post photos of food partially eaten because I find it unappealing... But that is my point here... Paying $7-$8 for a spring roll is fine, but when so much of them are filled with hard rice paper and mushy cucumbers and carrots, it's pretty unappealing. Ely's was known for higher quality, fresh (truly fresh) dishes served with good intentions and high regard for customers. I've made spring rolls at home and when the rice paper becomes hard, it is noticable to the touch... Rather disappointing and subpar quality that Ely's traditionally delivers. This shows a lack of concern for high standards, quality, and customers. Truly disappointed in you Ely's... **2022 UPDATE** Still a really good option compared to what is available. Went on a Monday and was really happy. Spring rolls were good, but missing the fresh crunch the old recipe had. I think they substitute parsley now for what used to be cilantro or lemon grass. Definitely adding that back would make these spring rolls out if this world. Chicken nuggets were amazing, I wish they sold a huge bag of the GF version that I could buy. Chipotle tomato/red pepper soup was good, nothing crazy, balanced, and I liked the texture. Vegetable quinoa soup was lack luster. Paying almost $5 for literally a cup of soup, I was expecting fresh vegetables not a frozen bag mix. Will not order again. All in all, I love some things and disappointed in some things. I love all the GF options they never had before. I hope they switch back to using as many fresh ingredients as possible. You can definitely take the difference. Will be back; Monday was better than a Tuesday. **FORMER MANAGEMENT** This was a nice vegan option, which is difficult to find! I loved the oysters mushrooms on the fried green tomatoes. The dressing for it was lacking a little flavor. I really enjoyed the spring rolls with the peanut sauce. Those were fantastic! So we came back a second time and I loved what I tried! The lemongrass meatballs were so good I ordered two, so I could eat it the following day. The cold blueberry soup tasted like a blueberry smoothie! I was much more satisfying and full from this lunch than the fried green tomato salad. I change my rating to 4.5 stars! The seating makes it a little difficult to get comfortable. Also once you've been there at least once you know what you're doing.

So glad we found this vegan friendly food spot. People there were very kind and helpful. We ordered their BLT with a side and two green smoothies and nuggets for the kids. The smoothies are super refreshing and the sandwich was tasty. There’s a nice selection of vegan snacks too. There’s a small place to seat outside and a few seats indoor. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some healthy eats.

We were traveling from Pittsburgh to Detroit and googled vegan restaurants in Youngstown…….found Ely’s and called to ask a few questions about their restaurant. The phone rang and rang so I hung up thinking they were closed. About 7 minutes later I got a call from an Ohio cellular number and lo and behold it was the restaurant calling back to say she was on the other line taking a large order and apologized for not being able to pick up my call. Who does that (calls back to say sorry I missed your call)? They are a totally vegan cafe with AMAZING food that changes daily! We ordered a house salad, spring roll, gyro, nugget bites w/dipping sauce and white bean soup and it was ALL so delicious and fresh! A young energetic couple owns and runs it……..make sure you take the time to go visit and enjoy their vegan menu! D&J from Grand Haven Michigan

I love the Food and the packaged items you can get as well. I do wish there was a little space in there to actually sit down and eat. But more than anything. I wish they had better hours. 10 AM until 3 Monday through Friday. Is almost impossible for me to ever go.

First time eating here and i was very impressed. The food was delicious, fresh, and creatively made. You can’t tell it’s vegan. Will definitely be visiting here again and again.

Why the drastic change in spring rolls? For $8, I would like something besides rice noodles wrapped in rice paper! One piece of cucumber and one piece of vegan chicken. So disappointed that you did not keep the original owner’s recipe.

Can't say much about the food because I only go in to pick up for the girlfriend but the people were phenomenal and local bottled water was good too!

I loved our visit today! I don't know how they got the BLT+avo sammies to actually taste like real bacon BLTs, but they did. SOOO good! Prices were reasonable, except for the drinks. So I'll just take it hime and drink water. LOL But will be back again!

picked up lunch for me and my husband who was getting infused at the nearby Hope Center. Excellent food Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I follow a gluten and dairy-free diet and it's a pleasure to go somewhere where the staff understands and accommodation is their jam! Wish there was one closer to where we live.

Everything I have tried, has been fantastic. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
