This northern end of Fort Lauderdale Beach is my favorite spot for walking, swimming and snorkeling. Located at the end of 27th, a couple of blocks south of Oakland Park Boulevard on A1A, this hidden gem is a favorite of locals. You will find a small parking lot nestled between two impressive beach homes, newly painted Adirondack chairs facing the water, a shower at the entrance, and a couple of picnic tables. There are no lifeguards here, so it is important to check the daily Ft. Lauderdale Beach report, online, to know the current water conditions and which flags are flying. This is a super peaceful, pleasant and very quiet area. During high season, go early in the morning or late in the afternoon to get a parking space, as there are only about 20, with one handicapped spot, and pay at the meter or even better with the parking app. Lots of windsurfers to watch on windy afternoons. If you like diving and snorkeling, this is an excellent spot. In fact, most mornings you will see dive teams going out. I particularly like the snorkeling here. This is a safe, fun location that makes you feel you are in your own private paradise. Lot opens at 8:00 A.M., and closes at 8:00 P.M. Oh, it is also the perfect place to view the full moon!

Love this little private beach. I always have the best time with my kids here and there's barely anyone around this area. It's beautiful and so peaceful . You have to pay meter parking but there is also a shower! So it's worth it to drive to. Love it.

Quiet spot along the beach. Pay by phone parking/meter location #82901. Few chairs and couple tables. Pretty beach, wonderful water. Kite surfing.

Loggerhead Park is a nice, small beach parking area in Fort Lauderdale. I park here regularly to dive the same reef line that is known as Vista Park Reef (2 blocks north). The parking lot has 20 spaces, including 1 handicap spot. Loggerhead Park has 4 picnic tables, 2 turtle-shaped sculptures to lock your bike to, a freshwater shower and 8 adirondack chairs to enjoy the beach view. Open from 8am-8pm 7 days a week, the gates to enter the parking lot open and close automatically right on time. Parking is a $1.25/hr.

Gorgeous beach, I did a picnic here and it was gorgeous, always a cop around or within distance and people who come to the beach are super nice. There are no restrooms, or kid play areas, but did have a pipe to wash off sand, parkinghas about 20 spaces, but people move about every 2 hours

Sometimes I get tired of the crowds at the larger municipal beaches. I started seeking out the small lesser known beaches in the area and while there may be less parking I find them to be quieter and more relaxing. My latest discovery is Loggerhead Park located between Fort Lauderdale Beach to the south and Commercial Pier to the north. Named after the endangered Loggerhead sea turtles who come to the beach to nest, this is a small and secluded beach where you are more likely to find locals than tourists. It is mainly used by people in the neighborhood. Although there is only about 20 spots I was able to find a parking place. You pay for parking by the hour at a kiosk or by the phone app. Once you park it is a short walk to the sand where relaxing Adirondack chairs line where the parking lot and beach meet. There is even a picnic table if you want to bring a lunch. The beach does not have a lifeguard or restrooms. I like it for when I don't have a lot of time and am just looking for a quick dip. It is fun to branch out and explore some of these smaller beach parks.

Nice beach with beautiful sunrises and I was very excited to see the protected turtle nesting areas . Very dog friendly and owners were very respectful of leash requirements . Do wish the seaweed on the beach could be picked up / cleaned up as received bug bites of some kind after crossing a large area of seaweed.

Great beach access with paid parking. It is not very busy and pretty low key. There are no lifeguards at this part of the beach.

Family and I had an amazing time during the air show! Across the street parking. The beach is very close to the road so you can carry your gear easily. Much cleaner beach area than South Beach.

Perfect place for this #officiant to meet my lovely couple from Indiana for their intimate vow renewal. They were staying @The Pelican Grand and this little spot was intimate yet provided parking and those fun Adirondack chairs where I relaxed, prayed and enjoyed the days end!

This is a great place to come and relax. There are Adirondack chairs next to the parking lot which are nice to just sit and look at the ocean. We went on a Friday and it wasn't too busy. After you are done swimming there is an area to wash your feet.

Secluded and Peaceful beach park! This is one of my favorite parks by the beach in Ft.lauderdale because it’s away from all the movement near Las Olas. There’s seats already facing the ocean and that’s a huge plus if you are walking by or don’t have a chair. I was able to deliver Uber to the park and got to enjoy some pizza with the views. Parking is limited so come early in the weekends or during the weekdays. Enjoy!!!

Nice little spot, I dive and was a nice little beach dive. Close parking to the water and reef is close to shore.

This was a really chilled beach which I prefer being that I had my kids with me along the trip. It was clean for the most part which is also enjoyable for when its time to walk on the sand. My kids had a really great time. The water was great as well. It didn't have any fish in them compared to the beach in Miami which is a plus for me being that I didn't want to deal with that while trying to enjoy my swim. Overall, a great getaway.

A fantastic place to do a beach scuba dive. Just be careful of the meter maid. He was there right at 8am on Sunday looking for people to ticket. The parking meter doesn't work until 8am and has a maximum purchase limit of 3 hours ($13.00).

A great place for kids and snacks all day. The food is always available. Staff is friendly but could be better. If you are an adult without children not recommended.

Used this site for shore diving. Parking lot opens at 8am pay to park. Paved with magic that doesn't get hot! Easy shore entry, dove the 1st 2 reefs. Green sea turtle, nurse sharks, lobsters, molluscs, and fishes. Great shower and foot wash. Only downside is no restroom facilities.

This was one of the best beaches, now there are a lot of rude people here! And if you plan to come here, please keep it clean and don't be a pig!!!! If you smoke, don't bury your cigarette butts in the sand, there are bins for that! Respect yourself and others!!!!!

It's a beautiful little park with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the view. One question I have for the city is, why would you paint chairs black that sit in the sun all day. Makes the seats rather hot at times.

Quiet secluded beach area. Parking can be a bit of a B as there are limited spaces. But otherwise it's incredibly relaxing

Nothing fancy just a nice quiet spot on the beach.

I love to come to this low-key beach. The fact that I am reviewing it doesn't matter in adding too much attention because the parking is so limited I feel it will remain away from the masses.

A park...maybe, a parking yes. It is a decent access point to the ocean and the beach. 4$/h parking is little discouraging.

Beautiful small park with fairytale-like trees, playground and sports field. On Saturdays the Farmers Market is worth a visit.
