The view of the bay and surrounding area is gorgeous. The on site restaurant is very good. Prices are as expected but not too high. Good quality is on point. Rooms and lobby were under renovation so they left a little to be desired. I hope the rooms and bathroom are on the list of renovations. I think the elevator may be the oldest thing there. It did the job but it was quite small.

This hotel is super close to where all the scuba boats leave making it an ideal place to stay before or after your scuba diving. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. A basic breakfast was included. The pool area while small, is a good place to relax while enjoying a drink or for a quick dip. Views from the room nice overlooking the intercoastal. As of March 2023 there is some renovations going on so expect some construction for the next few months. They do charge $25 a day for parking which we thought was a bit steep.

My wife and I had a weekend trip from Friday till Sunday (our anniversary) We booked the room a week in advance with no problem. We got a king room. The room was really comfortable and the A/C was perfect! (Really cold and loud enough that we didn't need a ceiling fan) The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean!! The staff and outside bar were amazing!! Renee was a very attentive bartender and took really great care of us!! I watched a new housekeeping employee work meticulously at cleaning every slat and window between rooms for 4 floors and I had to point it out to a manager so he could be recognized!!! He deserved it! This place is really awesome and I suggest you check it out!!! Room 702 rocks!!! Thank you Sands Harbor... See you soon!!!

An impromptu stay in the Coral Springs area led us here. Had read reviews and thought we would e it a try after a very trying day. I had to call the desk before arriving and spoke with Samantha. She was able to insure all was set up, unfortunately no views of the water. No problem as we booked last minute. Upon arrival was met by the nicest valet.ade it inside and Samantha was there to greet and remembered how stressful our day had been and was even more wonderful in person! Not sure how she did it, but getting into the room we had a view of the ocean and the marina! Our newly renovated room reminded me of a little cottage! We could not have been more pleased with our room, the views and staff! So much so that we stayed an extra night!

Overall I had a good experience. It would have been nice if breakfast was available, and for my room to be cleaned I would often need to talk to the cleaning staff myself for my room not to be passed over. The front desk gentlemen was professional and made a positive impact on my time here. The location is quiet and I would recommend this place to those not seeking a bustling nightlife. Very chill environment. If the stars ever align correctly I would like the chance to come back. Something to note that wasn't super clear on some travel sites is that there was a $200 deposit and parking is not included (5 day stay cost me about $120). Something to keep in mind.

When my friend was attempting to reserve the room he was having great difficulty obtaining the deal price and getting the purchase to go through. Upon arrival at Sands Harbor, Danny took control of the situation and made the experience one of great magnitude. As a courtesy Danny did honor the online pricing and on top of that with his abounding knowledge he took my overwhelmed friend, redirected and shifted the whole atmosphere from frenzied, to grounded and then set proper expectations and give him the lay out of all there was to enjoy and the time frames to do it in. By the time I joined the experience my friend was both calm and refreshed and ready to have a nice time. And nice time indeed. There was a live band out on the docks and the energy of the entire building was both serene and primed for purpose, leaving you the charge of the types of experience you wanted to have. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and inviting. In the morning the complimentary breakfast was great and the attendant was both attentive and welcoming. The energy on the dock was still set to enjoyment with great music playing, flowing positive energy moving, and breath taking views. Thank you Sands Harbor for being such a wonderful experience and than you "Dan the Man" as my friend endearingly refers to you, for being the kind of professional who shifts atmospheres from chaos to exemplary, 802 appreciates you.

The view was the best part of the hotel. The location was great, easy to walk to pompano beach. The building was older than some of the pictures on the website. Unfortunately the pool was not clean, and so we were not able to swim. Whenever we presented issues they were quickly fixed. Valets were nice. The hotel has great potential to be one of the best hotels in the area, unfortunately we ran into enough problems I don’t know if we’d stay again.

the conditions of the hotel are not good, the floor is slippery in the room a lot of bleach smell a lot. no towels in the room and was a big wet next to the window , the room is remodeled good bed I paid for a good room. I said to the house keeping bright towels to clean the floor and never bright them. The receptionist doest know anything from the bar and the extra charges that they applied on the bill The food is not good for the price very expensive. Unfortunately I never come back to this place. Is impossible walk in the room without shoes

I recently stayed at Sands Harbor Resort and was very pleased with my experience. The Sands Harbor Restaurant has delicious food (I didn’t try the other restaurant, The Rusty Hook, but I did hear it was very good as well). Making it a great place where boats pull up for a tasty bite and a cocktail with a tropical vibe. The special part is the attention, care and friendliness of the staff. Especially, the Manager Keith. He made sure to greet every guest, ensuring that they were having a good time, as well as everyone who pulled up on a boat, establishing a feeling that all are at home at the restaurant. The rooms were recently updated and were very lovely. All rooms face the South, so that everyone has a beautiful view. The housekeeping staff and check-in staff are extremely hospitable and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is absolutely 100% wonderful. I highly recommend Sands Harbor Resort & Marina. Aloha🌴

Loved this place! Great views!! The manager at the restaurant was a very nice man! Gave us free drink cards and even gave us a big slice of cheesecake 2 nights later. I'd absolutely stay here again!

The room has been recently remodeled with all the latest furnishings! I had a king suite with a kitchenette. There is a large balcony with furniture and an incredible view of the intercostal water and the sunset! The staff are super friendly and the free coffee and continental breakfast is good. Walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping! Truly a great location with options for dining and exploring this incredible island paradise! Can’t wait for the new lobby to be completed and the staff to be proud of their hard work and commitment for guest!! Many thanks!

Had such a wonderful experience in this restaurant. Sat outdoors at a corner table with an awesome view of the sunset. All while watching the boats on the intercoastal and listening to great live music. The food had great tastes and very flavorful. All staff tentatively catered to each person at the table. I recommend this establishment to any and everyone that loves fresh home cooked meals with a squeeze of elegance.

The rooms were nice and clean. Had to pay extra for parking. Never heard of a parking fee at a hotel. The add and the room I paid for said I had a boat dock view… it was actually a half boat dock view. With the roof is the restaurant covering the other half. There was too much traffic noise and some loud party, My thought was I should have spent that little extra and go to a better known hotel. Besides that , it was close to some good restaurants

If it wasn’t for Forrest I wouldn’t keep coming back lately. His customer service unparalleled he pays attention to details like nobody else does here. I am so grateful that he is a part of your team and I can’t wait to come back to receive his services.

The sands used to be one of our favorite local spots until the new ownership unfortunately. The vibe is completely different then it used to be. My biggest complaint is they used to have the absolute best Miami vice’s and rum runners. We would stop by on the boat all the time to pick up a frozen drink. However, they changed the recipe and they are extremely below average now. Don’t waste your money on the frozen drinks because they’re not cheap! And the waitresses acted like it was a huge inconvenience to make the frozen drinks. We will be looking elsewhere for a new spot to stop by on the boat on the weekends.

So my room was flooding due to the rain the girl who checked us in was a sweet heart. Very helpful. All the other staff were kinda just rude. Especially the bald guy he was extremely rude. Our TV spoke in Spanish..... We fixed it, it happend again. And honestly it was nice. But breakfast sucked the rain made it so we couldn't like go to the restaurant because it was closed

In the end, a hotel is there to find a good place to lay your head and get a good night's sleep. This wasn't that place. Excellent views, super friendly staff, but the rooms were outdated and noisy. I literally got no sleep. The staff were good enough to waive them parking fees.

This place is awful. We stayed on our wedding night and were sorely misled by the photos. The suite we payed $400 for was terrible. We really got ripped off. They said the room had just been cleaned but clearly it hadn’t. The bed and sheets were damp, the room smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom floor had a layer of mud. When we pulled up, we also noticed some guy peeing in the parking lot by the hotel entrance. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel!!

The room was old and rundown. It had no coffee maker and the furniture looked decades old was damaged. The outlets were so old that our chargers would fall out of them. The walls are paper thin and so you hear everything going on around you and the motel pipes in music to the resort starting at about 8 AM. The staff are unfriendly and looked inconvenienced by providing basic service, such as opening the gate to the parking lot, which was an extra $25 fee. Don't waste your money, stay at The Hampton Inn up the street for less money. We will never be staying here again.

Idk where to start. First room, noticed very dated and the door to the adjoining room was broken. Tried calling front desk on very old phone no answer. Gathered all my belongings went down to request a room without adjoining room and was advised, all rooms are like that. My first thought was well why don't the property make sure the locks are suceured or rooms. Got another room, and it looked terrible, carpet had stains and the tub had paint chips, o not to mention the bed was lumpy...omg. Went to Rusty hook for dinner, don't waste your money in my opinion, but I will leave a review for them in a min. The only nice thing about my stay about my room was the Marina. However, if you come for and Don't want to hear music, this is not the place, but it was refreshing to me, being the weekend. Finally, leaving to drive back home on my 10 hour drive to Georgia, only to find my license plates had been stolen. I don't know how, waiting on the police as I do my review. They have secured parking, well you have to pay for secured parking, I don't know how secure. The police and management were helpful, but management not apologetic. I'm out of here.

We had Mother's Day brunch outside by the water. The views + live music are great, the food is good and kids can even take a dip in the pool while everyone dines al fresco. Overall, a memorable experience.

Do not believe the photos! We first pulled up and the valet man was very rude, he just got in the car and was dropping f-bombs about us parking in the front to check in. The elevator was jank and don’t even ask for a bell cart because it had electrical tape holding it together. Then we get to our room and it was nothing as pictured the shower had pipes showing and the rugs were disgusting. The mini fridge did not work as well. We had to go down and we’re upgraded to the “penthouse” and it was not much better. Save your money, you get what you pay for. The pool looked nice however we didn’t stay long enough to find out. The front desk staff was awesome and understanding!

  • 1/5 Chris P. 1 year ago on Google
Run from this resort!! The rooms were hardly renovated. The lobby was a disgrace as well as the outdated elevators which only had a total of two and sometimes only one was working. The continental breakfast consisted of a muffin, apple juice and yogurt handed to you individually at the hotel desk. Construction noise from morning til late afternoon. A total of 9 resort lounges by the pool is hardly enough for a hotel. Two restaurants and one of them closed mon and tues which is when we were there. Ordered drinks and snacks from pool restaurant, had 42 people stay there including all pent houses and scolded for bringing a few of our own snacks to the pool was petty. valet parking consisted of a valet guy telling us he will push the button and open the gate for us. No coffee pot, ice bucket, ample towels, or phone in room. To even charge 100.00 a room is to much never mind the $270.00. Friends rooms were dirty, no bulbs in lights, fridge and microwave in bathroom area, peeling paint, mold in bathroom tub, dirty rugs, and they also were in a “renovated room” And although ours was slightly better and the finished product it still wasn’t worth the money. Thankfully the people we went with made our time fun or we would have left the day we got there!

I see poor reviews that I don't understand. The room cost $80. It has a nice pool, large tiki bar, is right on the intercoastal, and drenched in sun. The rooms are spacious, freshly decorated and very clean. AND the people are kind and helpful. Not sure what more you could ask for for $80. I'm sure there is a $350 room nearby that is awesome but I spend most of my time outside. This is great. I took a lot of pix so you can judge for yourself.

This hotel is false advertising. The photos pictured on the website are not the actual condition of the room you will stay in. The room smelled of bleach and cinnamon and the two double beds were sagging. The patio door does not close/lock properly letting in lots of light. Blinds let in a lot of light and outdoor neon lights stay on all evening, thus your room is illuminated all evening. Music and guests very loud into early AM hours. Front desk wanted to take a photocopy of my husband’s driver license - which we declined. Never in all years of staying at hotels has this been requested. Complimentary breakfast consists of bakery items, bananas, apples and yogurt. Great marina and harbor view, and within walking vicinity of Pompano Beach. Parking is $26.75 overnight at hotel. Just be aware of what you’re actually getting when booking this hotel. It is nothing like the photos, not a restful night of sleep at all. Was happy to leave and glad we had only booked one night.

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend, had a great time. Anastasia, the concierge, was so polite, generous, accommodating and professional, she went above and beyond to enhance our experience. There were a few hiccups with our initial room, which were ultimately resolved. Thanks again Anastasia, and to the rest of the friendly staff.

  • 2/5 James B. 9 months ago on Google
They did not include the mandatory valet and overnight parking fees on the website. So you will be blind sided with an extra fee. The rooms feel that they are par, just a fancy paintjob and furniture to try to get the high-end look. The bathtub was disgusting and had hair in the tub as well as the tub having flaking parts all over and some stains. The balcony door was hard to lock and would constantly get stuck, so you have to slam it shut. It's a decent location and quick walk to the beach, but i would recommend a different hotel nearby.

We did not stay at the Sands, but did visit by water and dined at the Bar & Grill. They offer a vast array of options, such as seafood, salads, sandwiches, pizza and specialty plates. There is a nice size patio (adjacent to the hotel pool) or additional seating along the intercostal / bar area. We did come by boat and were able to find a spot to dock (along the wall). Service was efficient. Umbrella tables were available for those wanting shade. The frozen cocktails were well crafted. Prices were as expected considering the location. Certainly worth a stop if you are in the area!

Everything was gloomy about today. Except Allie/Ally/Al-E/Alley, the most vascular bartender I’ve ever seen. It’s just a few days before Hurricane Ian hits Florida. But it was her service that blew me away. Despite the torrential downfall of rain, she was hard at work. If I could give her six stars, I would. I’ll definitely be coming back.

  • 4/5 Mark S. 1 year ago on Google
We didn't stay at the hotel as we are locals who just like a nice tiki bar to visit for drinks and food. The food was really quite good for bar food. Drinks could be a bit stronger. Great view and good service.

Stayed last night for the boat parade. Very disappointed that we weren't allowed to eat there even though we paid for a room. dj lasted past 10 pm ... parade was only going til about 830.... room was decent...bed was a bit squeaky. Seemed like there was construction. Paper that was handed out when we got the room said there would be a complimentary continental breakfast... there wasn't one just coffee. On the bill there was a tourist tax... we are locals and gave a Florida license.. what a ridiculous tax add on The view is really the best part of the place. Without knowing what the food taste like

Went for the Fort Lauderdale Dine Out pre-fixe menu.. We checked their menu online and it seemed like a nice place. It’s right on the water and it’s makes for good people watching when the boats pass by. Upon our arrival we were given Regular menus, so we asked about the Dine out menu and he was very confused but mentioned that he’d ask about it. When he returned he stated that he was unaware of the specials and the manager advised we could pick anything on the menu only to our surprise, it was a super condensed menu (4 entrees) but we could only choose from 3 and what we wanted from their online dine out menu was not on there. The manager came out and mentioned that they had some recent staffing changes and the marketing team must’ve forgotten to update the info. We were disappointed but we know things happen. They threw in a round of drinks to try to help make up for it. They were super apologetic and accommodating. The food we did end up getting was good too so all was not lost but no shrimp or steak options as expected. Drinks weren’t our favorites so I asked for just Rosé but I think he must’ve misheard and brought me another one of their sands Rosé cocktails but I didn’t want to complain so I drank it. You can pay $5 to park in the hotel lot or pay per hour at the lot across the street which is about the same price for 2 hours. Although it was a nice night out it wasn’t anything to rave about except their “baklava” ice cream, very different but delicious.

So I stay here very frequently with my job, like over 60 times a year, and there’s a reason I keep coming back!!! Connor, Keith, Steve, Forrest, John, Anastasia, Sarah, and all my friends that work there that have basically become family are absolutely terrific!! I highly recommend the place. It’s your one stop shop, great atmosphere, good food, good people, great prices and accommodations, and a great location!!! On the water and two blocks from beach, but you never have to leave the resort if you feel like that as well. I give them an honest 5 star recommendation. If you’re looking at traveling to the area go by and see these guys, it’ll be worth it
