Coffee is delicious, I get cafe con leche. The Cuban sandwich is amazing too. 😋😋😋 This morning I had 2 eggs, ham, cheddar cheese on Cuban bread ! 😋😋😋. Jamie does a great job running the place. Update, added menu and photos of Cuban sandwich. The quality and texture of the ham and pork is amazing. The love we feel is like being at moms house for home cooking. Updated post with the new secret menu item ! Miami Sandwich, the amazing Cuban Sandwich with turkey, lettuce and tomato. The vegetables add a clean refreshing taste to the sandwich !!

Based on previous reviews I planned to give myself some extra time to drink the coffee while I waited for the food - not a fast in-and-out place but definitely worth it. This place is busy, even on a weekday morning! They’ve got a few chairs to sit while you wait or to eat. Overall great experience!

Stopped by to enjoy coffee and some quick bites. The employees were really friendly and the kitchen (you see the whole thing from the window) was super clean. The setup is adorable and they even have some bar stools along a small table at the window if you’d like to eat your food there. The coffee was perfection and much welcomed on a sleepy morning. I also grabbed some pastries that were perfectly fried and really rich inside. Loved the potato sticks and pickles that came along with it! Looking forward to stopping by again to try their sandwiches and other items. Really cool spot with some delicious coffee and food!

Not the best choice, Google, but I know that's not your fault. People are rating this too high lol. Refer to my pic. Not worth time or money, was not impressed.

Just wow!!!!! Bar non the very best cuban sandwich I have ever had and I have had plenty from the Bronx all the way to Miami. What an amazing find this place is. Everything we ordered was spot on and absolutely delicious. All the sandwiches are made fresh from scratch with loving care. I don't believe I have ever had a better cup of Cafe con leche and the Guava and cheese pastry was amazing! I will definitely be going back for more.

AMAZING! The best Cuban I have ever had! (Well this was my first one, but it was amazing!) Also, big portion size too! My picture is just the half that I ate, it was double the size!

This is the kitchen for the drug rehab facility. They slapped a name on the outside and sell low rate food to the public. Food is horrible, employees are drug addicts. It serves as a job and kitchen for the rehab. I ate with my wife and they were shuttling in patients like cattle. Do not eat here

This is the best Cuban sandwich I have had. The Cuban coffee is delectable. The owner of this place is super knowledgeable and extremely nice and answers all of your questions. We were unsure of what to order and so he even let us taste some samples to be sure about our sandwiches. The sandwiches are very generous in size. We also ordered some of the pastries and they also were delicious. So this is a great place to go if you’re going to the beach or back to your house or your hotel and you want to have the best Cuban sandwich ever.

Honestly surprising how bad this place's food was. I ordered an egg, sunny-side up on a bagel with cheese and an iced coffee. The egg came out mostly liquid. That is to say the white hadn't coagulated—it was still clear! The sandwich dripped. The coffee was very weak as well. My friend got a similar order, but also got a cup of water, which apparently "tasted like blood." However, I will say the man who took my order at the counter was great. Still not enough to make this place worth more than one star. I think all the good reviews were from a restaurant on the premises under different ownership.

This place is an awesome little slice of miami in pompano. Great cuban coffee and very friendly staff. It's a little bodega next to the gas station so don't be confused when you pull in you are in the right place! The Cuban breakfast sandwhiches are also really good!

It’s located in a gas station with seating outside the window. Don’t let that fool you. It’s amazing!! I got a Conan sandwich, yuca de rellenos and a cafe con leche. The cubano was fantastic with the right amount of pickles and cheese and the roasted pork what perfect. The cafe con leche, oh yeah. The yuca de rellenos I haven’t had before. I’ll be having it again. I will definitely return. It’s a gem waiting for you to discover.

Came with friends because one friend wanted breakfast foods. She enjoyed her western omelette. However, I got a so-called Cuban sandwich. I asked for no pickles or mustard. The first time it came out with everything on it. I asked him to redo the bread because I can't scrape mustard flavor off of the bread. The second time it came out the way I asked. Then I realized that it had no pork. It was a glorified ham sandwich that cost $8. The fries are crunchy and good. That earns them the one star.

The definition of a hidden gem. Across from Ihop, when gps takes you to the back lot, go around and go thru the neighborhood and there is a front parking lot. Small and efficient breakfast joint. I ordered a coffee and a Belgian waffle for $6. I sat in one of the three round tables inside, window view, good amount of natural lighting, and there’s patio seating with Us1 as the view. I received my food quickly, it was quiet. Sit and stay a while before the hard work day begins.

They aren't polite & Have Dog faces like they had a long day. Very Rude! Especially When Your prices are the highest Out of all Jamaican restaurants! You truly Lost a Customer!

Located in a gas station convenience store is one of the best little secrets in Pompano. I was always kind of reluctant to try this spot but it also always grabbed my attention every time I went there. This morning when I pulled in there was some really good Spanish music blaring out of the window and one of the workers dancing and moving to the beat, and I decided to give them a try. Best decision ever! I had eggs and ham on Cuban bread, pressed with buttery goodness. FABULOUS!!! Stop in and check it out for yourself, great vibe, great service, great food.

SLOW SERVICE Can somebody for the love of God please hire a woman with better work ethic. Don't get me wrong everybody there is very nice. But can you guys please hire somebody that can do more than one thing at a time? Instead of just standing there while making coffee, why not ask the next person what they want. maybe they're going to want something that could easily be heated while you're waiting to make coffee. When I drive by and I see a line I just keep on going because I know I'm going to be waiting for a long time. Forcing me to go to another location for coffee.

This place is awesome!! Its in a CITGO gas station, but has a take out window outside. We tried all the pastries and every one of them was delicious. My favorite was a guava and cheese. We also tried several empanadas and all were wonderful. Service was very friendly and fast. If we lived here, we would be regulars.

Super fun place, they treat vacationers like family. Cafecito and colada were strong and sweet. Nice selection of flaky pastries! Good Cuban sandwiches (if I’m honest the Cuban isn’t my favorite but the local who drove over from Ft Lauderdale swore by them). Be prepared to take a little time. More relaxed than fast track but I say worth it!

Looked up the best place to get a Cuban Sandwich prior to flying in from Seattle. This place was highly recommended via reviews. We walked 2 miles to get there. Just went for a sandwich, but when my wife saw how many coffee's were being ordered, had to get one of those too. Cuban coffee is a new favorite. Both were awesome!! Would definitely recommend. Thank you!!

Well deserved 4.6 ⭐️ Visiting Pompano Beach area, we did a search for some good Cuban coffee. Found this place with great reviews and when I looked at the setup online, I was like "anh" but figured we give it a try since it was close. Hands down probably one of the best Cuban coffee's I've ever had. The right amount of expresso with little milk and raw sugar. It was great! Wife loved her coffee as well. We tried the spinach empanada which has mozzarella cheese and it was really good - oh, and potato stix on the side for kicks. This place is literally in a gas station with very limited seating outside. But the service was excellent, friendly and their little spot is very clean and organized. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and worth the drive if you're not that close. Gracias!

I’ve been an avid supporter of this place and Eric for well over a year now and really enjoyed his sandwiches and recipes. Unfortunately, Eric is gone now and the new ownership has taken away a lot of what made the Cuban sandwich here so good. I ordered one today and there was ONE piece of each meat on the sandwich and about 4-5 pickles total, less and thinner slice of cheese...the list goes on. Just all around an inferior sandwich. The reason I loved this place to begin with was Eric was adamant that if you pay 8 dollars for a sandwich you should get good value—which led to nice sized sandwiches with a pickle in every bite and a great value/taste/experience overall. Now it’s just an overpriced 8 dollar run of the mill Cuban sandwich. I used to think it was the best in south Florida. I think you can find better these days.

Eric is a class act! I'm from Miami and have lived in Pompano for 5 years now. I've been searching for a place that make coladas (Cuban espresso) because you know I gotta have my coffee. I'm super hyped that I finally found What I've been searching for. To me it feels as if I've known Eric my whole life because he reminds me of most of my friends. The food is also amazing and worth the wait.

We live in Georgia and were visiting Pompano for the week. There's no Cuban bakeries where we live in GA., so we were determined to find pastelitos, croquetas, a tostada and cafecito! We stumbled across this Cuban bakery and it was more than we could've imagined because besides the food being great, we felt like we stumbled upon one of the kindest people we've ever met! Eric let us try cheese, espresso and a pastelito for free! We talked and laughed while waiting for our food! Eric is hardworking and kind and deserves all the community support for his great Cuban bakery! We went for breakfast every morning until we left town! We talked about Eric all the way home and visit whenever we're back in FL.!

Stopped by for gas and lottery tickets. Looked at menu and ordered the cuban and glad I did. Very good cuban at a very fair price. I will go back to try the pulled pork which I believe they use for the cuban. Don't be deterred by the walk up window. Give it a try I'm glad I did.

I am really growing to love dining at gas stations. Key West Cuban Cafe is located in a Citgo. It is the kind of place that is a locals favorite. They are building a new residential complex next door so there is a lot of construction. The cafe has a front window so you don't have to go into the gas station unless you want to pay with a card or grab a drink. You can pay cash at the window. I picked the Monte Cristo made with thick slices of ham and grilled cheese ($8). It was a giant grilled sandwich that came with pickles and chips. I could only finish half. I also wanted a guava pastel which Eric added for free. While I waited for my food he brewed me up a cup of Cuban coffee and then even gave me one to go for later. The food is awesome but the real gem in this place is the owner Eric. He instantly makes you feel like you are hanging out with a long time friend. While I was waiting for my food a mom walked up with her little daughter who was also gifted with free pastry. She said she was Cuban and found her way here through word of mouth from other Cuban friends. That is a high recommendation but you don't have to be Latin to love it here. Anyone who appreciates great food will feel right at home.
