Wow! Blown away. This place is a gem. Top notch service, the bread, pasta, desserts all made in house. I really don’t know what to say other than just WOW… Trust me when I say this place is amazing. We were shocked when we got the bill too… in a good way! Very reasonably priced. Diamond in the rough 💫✨ Nutella chocolate cake and creme brûlée were delicious.

Wonderful dinner with great friends. Lovely atmosphere, great menu, terrific service from our humorous waiter! Good bottle of wine, calamari w shrimp and octopus appetizers. We had chicken and eggplant parm, a veal dish, a short rib dish and a pasta dish. Coffee and Tirimisu to end a lovely evening 😊

Great service and food. Walked in without a reservation but was able to be seated within minutes. Got a nice bottle of wine that was recommended by the server. Fresh bruschetta brought to the table along with fresh bread. Ordered soup, salad, veal Marsala and Bolognese. Finished the night with a cannoli. I’d come back

I've traveled Italy more than most for 35 years and I have to say that if you want to find food in Italy outperforming the food at La Perla, you'll have to know exactly where to go! Genuine, cooked with an abundance of love and good ingredients - and served with a smile. My wife and I keep coming back to La Perla and it has turned into the place to bring real friends. The host who's also the lucky man married to chef is always welcoming, have a great sense of humor and that goes for the waiters as well. Oh yes... The waiters... They are REAL waiters, well educated on food and wine and they know how to make every guest feel welcome. Only downside to this review: That I can't give six stars!

This evening was our 1st time at La Perla. It was a wonderful experience and it happened to be our Wedding Anniversary. The service was impeccable, the waiters are true professionals. The owner was so welcoming, even taking me to the kitchen to meet his wife, a chef, so I could compliment her. Every morsel of food was delicious. I can normally never finish a meal and I take 1/2 of my meal home when dining out, but it was so delectable that I finished every bite. My husband is originally from Northern Italy so we are selective when it comes to Italian restaurants. I highly recommend La Perla.

Went to LA Perla di Pompano last night for the first time and loved it! It offers amazing traditional Sicilian homemade pasta. I had the lobster stuffed ravioli with spinach & shrimp with marinara sauce. It was cooked perfectly, pasta done just right with melt in your mouth filling. And don't get me started on the fresh made daily dessert cart! The setting is lovely reminded me of my last trip to Siciliy and impeccable service. Bravo to chef Manuela and her front of the house team..👏👏 I highly recommend it..❤️❤️

Very traditional Italian restaurant with some interesting menu items that will certainly please you! Clams and mussels in their shells in a savory tomato and wine broth. Grill octopus on baby greens with sliced cherry tomatoes, oranges and red onions with a lemon vinaigrette. Th er veal piccata was outstanding! Lobster ravioli in a saffron sauce was very good too! Desserts were to die for! Apple tart with ice cream on top was soooooo delicious!

Hands down some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Very humble and nice restaurant. Salvatore provided us with great service and recommendations. The atmosphere was very pleasant. My family and I were visiting from out of town and I would certainly consider coming back when visiting Pompano again!

No other Italian restaurant will ever compare. AUTHENTIC! The service was impeccable, yet comfortable. Wine selection was awesome. Home made bread and desserts. Holy Cannoli! Our Italian server was very knowledgeable. So many southern regional options. Lobster ravioli, chicken with an amazing sauce Florentine. Our kids were with us and asked for a few things not mentioned on the menu and the waiter made them feel so special by giving them exactly what they wanted. Even slicing and serving their chocolate cake for them at the table. We almost passed the place up, it's so tiny, but how lucky we were to find it. Coming from Cleveland very close to Little Italy, I don't think I will ever find anything close to home like this place. We had no reservation but the owner quickly came and set up a table for 5 of us. We could tell his restaurant is his pride and joy

You will want to make your next dinner reservation here .... a must dine!! Amazing authentic Italian food down to the homemade pasta!! The Bolognese and Strozzapreti Norcina were savory delights and the Apple Rose desert was the kiss on the meal! An immaculate intimate setting with a classy ambiance! Gianni was an absolute delight and made the experience one of the best we have had in a long time!

Authentic, freshly prepared pasta and Italian dishes. Great wines, profesional servers and family run classic. Small restaurant that offers the best Italian food in South Florida. The food is amazing - everything tasted fresh and perfectly prepared.

The evening was not just about food, it was the experience. Our waiter, Salvatore, was an absolute delight and Italian too. It was our anniversary, and he went out of his way to make it a special evening. We chatted with him about Italy and had some excellent wine and food -- some per his suggestions. Easy, enjoyable pace from appetizers through desserts. Nice background music and intimate Italian decor. Five star experience. This wasn't our first time here -- it is predictably terrific -- and we'll continue to be great fans of this wonderful restaurant!

The Restaurant is very cozy and elegant ! The waiters are the nicest most knowledgeable in town! They know all their dishes and how they are made, the ingredients … so they have all it needs to help anyone navigate through their dietary requests. We tried burrata which was to die for! So creamy and smooth. The portion was incredibly reasonable too. The octopus was grilled and very very tender. Honestly the best I have tried in years! And I am afraid I was too excited by the time I got the past with mushrooms, so I didn’t take pictures, but this is my favorite pasta dish I have ever tried in an italian restaurant out of Italy! Honestly: I still dream about it 🤭 Great job to Vanesa the owner who was the kindest person to us when we visited. We will come back !!!

We have been eating in Manuela and Lino’s restaurant for years. She is an outstanding cook, and has many items on the menu that you will not find in standard or chainItalian restaurants.

Had an amazing dinner here last night. Called at 4:30 and was lucky enough to get an 8:30 reservation. We arrived on time and a beautifully set table was waiting for us. Restaurant was busy, so I highly recommend reservations because you don’t want to miss this. Started with a nice Chianti and they brought homemade bruschetta and a nice bread basket. Dinner and service blew me away. Delicious home made Tagliatelle with Calamari, Shrimp and Seafood. Just when I thought the food couldn’t be any better, I took a bite of the Veal Piccata. That was truly the best veal dish I’ve ever had. It was so tender and the perfect amount of lemon, butter sauce and capers. Came with perfectly cooked spinach and potatoes. The entire experience was amazing. Can’t wait to return.

I can't say enough good things about this quaint Italian restaurant. Rarely do I have a meal that is worth every calorie but we even ate dessert. Everything is handmade and you can really tell then difference. They serve homemade bread with a tomato mixture, the soup is out of this world, eggplant was wonderful and tiramisu was to die for Our service was great and the whole dining experience was 5 stars. If this was my Mamas cooking I would weigh a lot more than I do.

I dined there solo Thursday night around 9PM. There were still guests in the dining room mostly finishing up. One solo diner was from Gilbert AZ. He raved about the food. A large family was finished but wanted to take some photos, Gianni the bartender/server graciously took the photos. Another couple was also finishing up. I overheard him order a Coca Cola. The atmosphere was so pleasant. I started with a bottle of San Pellegrino and my go to Cesar salad adding anchovies. Romaine was very crisp and fresh. They brought fresh cut lemons on the side without being asked. This was a nice touch. For my main, I ordered Veal Scaloppini Piccata over spaghetti. It arrived scalding hot and was such a large portion that I moved two of the veal pieces to the side of the plate intending on taking them home. It was so tender and delicious that I ended up finishing it all. The pasta was firm Al dente style which is what I prefer. Did I mention the bread? It was fantastic! Unfortunately, I was too full for desert. The other thing I found interesting and enjoyed, was even after I was finished, they never rushed me and it was getting late. The owner Lino and I had a nice conversation while my impeccable server Salvatore and Gianni were cleaning and setting everything up for the next day. The food, service and experience was so exceptional, I tried going there the next day maybe around 5:15PM. It was Friday night. Lino was so apologetic explaining they were booked solid and could not accommodate me. So I am going back tonight instead. This time it is a special occasion. If the experience is even half as good, I will be please. Stay tuned.

Went here in November. There were 4 of us. The waiter Bill came over to us and introduced himself and asked us what kind of wine we would like. We told him we didn't know as we just sat down. He came back and asked us again what kind of wine we liked. He was pushy with selling wine. My friend told him that he should tell us the specials first so we can pair the wine with the food of our choice. The waiter replied that this was his first week on the job and then said he has been a waiter for 40 years. He walked away and never came back to our table. Needless to say that the owner took our orders. I am speaking solely on what I ordered and ate. I ordered the Caesar salad with anchovies. The dressing was not homemade and I don't think it was even Caesar dressing. Awful! The lettuce was all the soft leaves with hardly any hearts. I ordered the veal chop which was good but not great. The temperature was a perfect medium which is what I requested. The waiter kinda put a bad taste in my mouth from the start and the food didn't wow me. My other guest liked their food but no one was blown away. It's a typical Italian menu with no real culinary imagination. This was my first and last time at LaPerla.

Food and service was outstanding. Bill (our server) was very knowledgeable and helpful. He is certainly an asset to this restaurant. I am mostly vegetarian and they have such a variety of dishes that meet any restricted diet. We had the Grilled Eggplant w. Burrata appetizer, a wonderful Arugula salad with FRESH orange slices, Mushroom Pasta (the best since my trip to Italy) and finished with a delicious Lemoncello cake. I hope to get back there soon.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant with old world elegance. Waiters are so attentive. I felt like I was at someone's home. All the dishes are made to order and all the pastas homemade. I had special dietary needs and they were most accommodating. Generous portions. All desserts homemade.

Nice little. Bread and salad were disappointing. Pasta and entrees were the stars

Agree with the 'unpretentious' label, but only as it applies to the exterior. Truth be told, we almost didn't go in, based on how the exterior looked. THANK GOD WE DID! as soon as we entered, I wondered if we were actually UNDERDRESSED in our beachwear. They were able to accommodate us on a busy night even without a reservation (I'd encourage everyone to make one tho), and the food was just DELICIOUS! I actually lived in 'the old country' as a teen, and was immediately transported back a few decades 😊! They (from the owner's husband to all the staff) truly treated us as if we were family, dining at the family home... INCREDIBLE DINING experience at at amazing place - you MUST visit! ☺️
