Very strange place and a weird Kava experience. As soon as I walked in I was looked at suspiciously and treated as such. I sat at the bar which was dirty and was given a menu with little explanation of their Kava. Now I'm familiar with Kava so it wasn't a big deal but the staff was very unfriendly and definitely not welcoming. The ambience was dark and gloomy with blaring rock music. Not a chill place for Kava and I'll never go back.

We came with 5 people to play pool and we found out we needed to buy a drink to do so, which we had no problem doing 4 of us were buying drinks and the lady working rudely told my friend that we all had to buy a drink if you were going to be there otherwise it would be "loitering" just because one person didnt want anything. Also asked for menu which they didn't have. Very rude to a friend who has been going there for a very long time and has spent a lot. pause at 155 is a much nicer kava bar were they treat you with respect and don't get rude over who and how many people are buying drinks

Gave this place a shot. Literally and figuratively. The shot of tea I had (kratom which I've read has medicinal properties)is piping hot so pay attention before you just take a drink. I personally like my coffee, tea, and hot drinks piping hot so as they cool I can sip my drink at my just right temperature. As I like my cold drinks icy cold. The menu offerings are limited in choices. I believe The place is cozy and dimly lit. The patrons seemed cliquish. The half dozen people or so that were there when I visited were in their 20 to mid 30's. I've always been a friendly and inquisitive person. That said, the answers I got about the offerings and purposes of drinking the concoctions were all over the place. From the server to the customers the benefits of the tea were vague at best. Also drinks are bit pricey for the serving sizes. Now if you're a health conscious and a believer in these unique yet unproven mixes. Give it a try. Being in the food & beverage business for most of my life. I believe the one thing I would convey to the owner/operators of Kavasutra is to get rid of the premixed and served from a thermal container. Make the drinks fresh to order with measured amounts of the active ingredients.

Been several times, regret it. Last review was deleted. Owner has hatred in his heart for those not like him and plead guilty to killing kids who smoked his synthetic pot.

Kavasutra newest location might be their best. Near the beach and great dining options the bar has great atmosphere for a relaxing time. Having been to all the Florida locations I'll be coming back here often.

The owner Dylan is a raging bigot who gets off on mocking and threatening minorities to their faces. He’s an ex felon who manufactured and sold spice out of his bars. Don’t go here.

Tommy was great, he serviced us with the speed and agility of a tiger, his kava and kratom knowledge surpassed even the greatest gurus. He always has a smile on his face and his words are full of grace.

First of all, there is a few reviews on here that uhhh... let’s say don’t apply to the place I saw the one about wanting to play pool but not wanting to spend money? Uhmmm if that was true then oh well? They would be paying for replacing and re matting the pool table and pool sticks and all that they can’t just have a group of people not paying, like loitering is a thing? And second of all that’s a lie because they don’t even have a pool table 😭 anyways I love this place and always makes me feel like I’m at home no matter what other kava bars I go visit, I was sitting there alone one night kinda ditched by one of my friends and they made me feel so welcome, the kratom is pretty good I suggest getting root beer and a vanilla Starbucks coffe from the corner store near it then a Shane’s addiction from kavasutra and get a cup with some ice in it and mix the whole thing of root beer then the Shane’s addiction then put coffee in the empty Shane’s addiction cup and pour that In mix it all together and Then ya got a rootbeer float.

Great place, great vibes and the bartender Eric is awesome. Very friendly and attentive to everyone that walked in the door. Would highly recommend this place

I love this place. The service is great, amazing people, always feel welcomed and not judged. The Kava is tasty and rich. I always get the flavored tea and sit outside to smoke a Cig and converse with strangers that are now my very good friends. I come here 2 times a week after a long day of work. This is my favorite place to be and i advise others to give it a try, its worth it.

This place is really something special. I'd never heard of Kava or Kratom in my life but worked near by so i decided to come check it out and everyone in this place between the employees and the regulars treats you like they've known you for 10 years. I can see why this place has so many regulars it's a real unicorn of a business. Met some really awesome people here and tried some very interesting non alcoholic drinks. 5 stars for sure!

Best Kava spot in South Florida! Dylan taught me how to order and consume Kava and I enjoyed the entire experience. Prepare for deep relaxation, elevated mood, and an idyllic atmosphere.

My husband and I are from Atlanta but visit Deerfield beach frequently. We were alway ms curious about this place but always hesitant to go inside. One day we did and the young man at the bar that night was so kind and explained all the drinks to us and even let us try a small sample. We enjoy the Kava but have a new love for Kratom. It is like having an energy drink but with a mild pain reliever and makes you feel slightly euphoric. Glad we don’t have this close to our house in Atlanta though because we would definitely drink it ok often lol. It is very dark inside though so we tend to get our drinks to go or sit outside.

Good product, shady ownership. They hang poltical posters in the bar and post violations of NDAs on thier social media. If none if that bothers you go ahead I guess.

Good service good people. A variety of teas and kava. Please note that they do not serve Alcohol.

I'm absolutely baffled that kavasutra bar in the cove plaza allows people to tie dogs up outside without water for long periods of time to the extent that they lock the door when you bring it to their attention. I guess anything to make a buck...
