This
is
a
cute
little
neighborhood
park
that
you
probably
wouldn't
know
about
it
unless
you
lived
in
the
neighborhood.
The
waterway
is
surrounded
on
all
sides
by
housing
and
the
back
of
strip
mall.
Amenities
include
a
boat
ramp,
picnic
pavilion,
walking
trail,
and
swing
benches.
Populating
the
park
are
a
huge
flock
of
Egyptian
Geese.
They
are
actually
a
cross
between
a
goose
and
a
duck.
This
bird
is
actually
from
Sub-Saharan
Africa,
the
Nile
Valley
and
parts
of
the
Middle
East.
The
non
native
birds
have
either
escaped
or
been
deliberately
introduced
into
Florida
sometime
in
the
1960's.
However
they
came
to
be
here
they
have
successfully
made
this
park
their
home.
Another
thing
to
note
about
this
park
is
it
is
a
great
place
to
watch
Margate's
Fourth
of
July
fireworks.
I
like
to
sit
on
the
edge
of
the
dock
to
view
them.
The
fireworks
terrify
the
birds
however
and
they
can
be
heard
crying
in
fright.
This
is
a
cute
park
that
is
hardly
used
which
makes
it
a
great
place
to
kick
back
and
catch
a
sunset.
