Loved it here so much. Such a beautiful garden, just wish it was opened longer. The park closes at 5pm. So much beauty & life here. $10 admission fee. Parking available. Nature speaks of itself. Loved walking, sitting and admiring everything within this beautiful place, definitely make your way here if you're a nature lover like myself. Also theirs a cafe here as well which you can admire the view with great drinks.

I had been wanting to go here for two years, and this place is amazing! It's very well priced for a 1/2 day trip. The Museum exhibit is beautiful, and there are so many things to see. Their walking tour was well done and the curry chicken from the Cornell Cafe was amazing!

I took the drive down here with my friend for the day, and I am so glad I went! I highly recommend going early in the morning as it gets crowded in the afternoon and parking becomes scarce. I appreciated that they had a student discount to purchase a ticket. The garden is absolutely beautiful! The sights are breathtaking, and it is an incredibly peaceful walk. There are places to the side where you can meditate or relax in private. Sadly, the museum was under renovation when we came, so we didn’t get to see the inside. I also wish that they offered more unique things in the gift shop too. Overall, it was a great experience and had everything that I expected to see and more.

What an amazing museum and gardens! I came with my aunt who lives nearby and I am so very glad we did come. We both learned a lot about the history of the Japanese people who created a community here over 100 years ago and helped shape the agricultural community and the culture. I liked learning about the balance of the rocks, the water and the plants throughout the gardens and how they blend together. And the wildlife was nice to look at as well. There are benches conveniently located throughout the gardens to sit and rest and think about life in general. This left a sense of calm and reflection that is lasting. I highly recommend this for anyone in the area.

Two-hrs visit with 2 worldly teens. We enjoyed the cafe 2 times. Nice grounds. The theater (video) left much to be desired--barely any history of the Japanese immigrant farmers who struggled in the FL heat, humidity, etc., to get their pineapple plantation thriving. The garden is a nice stroll with elements of Japanese gardens placed here and there. Two dead, bloated iguanas in the water by the bridge--how did ground keepers not see them?! Gallery has rotating exhibits? The "heart sutra" exhibit had deep, profound drawings and explanations. Would I visit again on my next trip? Unlikely.

Absolutely loved this place. It was so serene and beautiful. We were able to enjoy the audio tour and learned much of Japanese culture. It really immersed you in the life of Japan. Admission was $15 per person despite the time (closes @5pm). It is quite humid and hot, of course it is Florida so it is best to go in the winter when it is cooler to truly enjoy Morikami. Note: if you decide to go when it is hot, best to go in shorts and a cool shirt. Lovely place , thank you!

This place is magical!! I had heard a lot about it but just a month ago I went for the first time. This place is peaceful, it is a really good place for pictures or just for a little time with yourself. It’s maintained very clean. The green everywhere brought me a relaxing peace that definitely would enjoy again!!

Absolutely stunning, definitely everyone should enjoy the day there. The food is excellent. Have lunch? The walk is about a mile. But it is so surreal, beautiful Japanese flowers, trees lakes. It's amazing, peaceful and a beautiful Day Out. Highly recommend everyone should go.

Sunday is the busiest day… waited 30-60 min to get in. Buy a membership and you don’t wait in line. Dual membership is $95 (you plus one) for the year with unlimited entries. The cafe closes at 3pm. The trail has benches to sit on along the way to take a break and soak in the view. Download the free app, take your time, and listen to the audio on the app at the checkpoints.

An amazing dive into Japanese culture. I was so happy being able to finally visit and get to see the wonder of what it's like to be at the Morikami. The manipulation of nature in the landscape is magnificent, the theater explaining the facility and history is pleasant, and the featured art show I went to was quite enthralling. If you love Japanese culture, or even just want to observe nature differently, then this is the spot for you to visit!

Absolutely beautiful & refreshing. This was a friend's outing for the books. We had such a good time... we are a band of nature loving artist so it was just a great place to hang out catch up on life and throw about personal philosophies. Picturesque views and the tree lined paths made a super hot day quite bearable. This place is wonderful experience for children and adults. I haven't been in years and I really loved this trip. Can't wait to visit again.

I went last year and I loved the experience. It's a great place to spend an afternoon. I enjoyed walking the trails and seeing all the monuments and scenery. The cafe had a good amount of choices. All Japanese inspired cuisine. The gift shop was also pretty neat, having Japanese literature and knick knacks.

Certainly a hidden gem. Went here during our cold front (60’s). Couldn’t have been more relaxed. I strongly recommend their nature walk if one needs a break from some of the other visitors. I spent about 2 hours here by myself and could probably have been extended. Looking forward to my next visit.

This place is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of benches around the park and under tree shades to take some time and admire your surroundings. I loved the animals that you can see around, the Bonsai trees are really special the art gallery was a nice cultural touch .The Ticket price is not bad. We did enjoy our visit.

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon in Delray Beach, Florida. The museum showcases a fascinating collection of Japanese art, artifacts, and history, while the stunning gardens transport you to a peaceful oasis of tranquility. As you stroll through the gardens, you'll be surrounded by meticulously maintained plants, water features, and traditional Japanese architecture. The gardens are divided into several themed areas, each with its own unique charm and character. The Karesansui Garden, for example, features a striking dry landscape of rocks and sand, while the Modern Romantic Garden combines traditional Japanese design elements with contemporary touches. Overall, Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Japanese culture, art, or nature. The gardens are a peaceful and beautiful oasis.

I loved everything here! I wish they had swings around the trail to swing on as you enjoyed the views. It’s so peaceful & beautiful. It was hard to not take a picture of EVERYTHING! We also ate at the cafe & the food was pretty good. I would definitely recommend going whether it’s a date or a family outing.

I loved everything here! It’s highly recommended to purchase your tickets in advance. It’s so peaceful & beautiful. Everything is well maintained and clean. It would be nice to grab a seat by the lake and eat a snack or two while chatting with friends. The food in the cafe is actually pretty good. Makes for a pleasant day. I would definitely recommend going whether it’s a date or a family outing.

Love love love. What an awesome place. Perfect for a family, or even a date. Very Zen and relaxing. The 6 minute movie is a great start. The movie in the house is also a great learning experience. The walk around the grounds is so comforting and peaceful. Well worth a trip, or two or three.

The Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens is a must for locals and visitors alike. We have visited several times to see special exhibits and/or to just walk and take in the natural beauty & serenity. A friend and I even took a Japanese drumming class to learn something new about this fascinating culture and to celebrate my birthday! There’s a small restaurant on the grounds where we enjoyed a tasty lunch, and you will find benches along the almost one mile stretch of gardens where you can rest and take in the natural beauty around you. There is balance and harmony here, so if you want to relax, it’s the perfect place to visit. They are closed on Monday, but I recommend you go during the week as weekends are super busy, especially in high season. Plenty of free parking. Check out their website for special exhibits.

Went on a breezy day and heard the bamboo trees knock into each other for a while which sounds really cool. Met a couple who were into wildlife photography and they found some owls way up in the trees. Right-side trail was pretty amazing. I'm not sure how Morikami is on non-breezy days, but it was very relaxing. Forgot to check out the food there -_- I heard it was supposed to be pretty good. Will have to update the review when I check it out next time.

I live on the west coast of Florida, but usually, I work in Miami or further north. I go to the Botanical Gardens at least three times or more in a year. It is one of my favorite places. The restaurant is excellent and reasonable. Also, there's a museum and a gift shop. At the gift shop. I have bought many pieces of Japanese dishes for my china case. There is also a movie about the history of botanical gardens. The trail follows around a lake and is such a peaceful oasis.

This is a hidden gem in Palm Beach County. There is a path to walk on, and you will see waterfalls, turtles, fish, geckos, and so many different types of birds. There’s also air-conditioned area with different shows that were very interesting. They also have a museum and a gift shop. The food was really great at the restaurant, and it was very easy to spend the whole day here. If you are looking for peace in a beautiful area, this is your spot. The staff were very nice and we were able to get chopsticks for our daughter. There are waterfalls in that was probably her favorite part. There’s no place like this in Palm Beach County and we would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.

Zen & relaxing. It feels as if one can experience a little bit of Japan, in Florida. Calm gardens and gorgeous vistas. Children love it too as they get to feed turtles and fish. The taiko presentation is quite exciting & invigorating. Worth every penny. Highly recommended!

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is an amazing place that offers a sense of peace and tranquility like no other. The gardens are impeccably maintained and provide a serene environment to relax and unwind. The combination of water, rocks, and greenery creates a perfect balance of nature and design. The museum itself is also very interesting, with a variety of exhibits and artifacts that showcase the rich culture and history of Japan. Whether you're a nature lover or interested in learning more about Japanese culture, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is definitely worth a visit. Overall, it's a must-see attraction that offers a unique and unforgettable experience.

It’s been about 10 years since my last visit and the gardens are even more beautiful now. In the movie, the narrator said that the garden is “still in its infancy” I can only imagine when the trees are over 100 years old! It was a hot day but there is enough shade and breeze and beauty to take a chill walk and stop at every nook on the way back to the cafe. If you are looking for an easy family outing, head over early and have an Asian inspired lunch overlooking the water. Perfect venue to gather with friends 🥰

We are members and renew yearly. This is a lovely place to visit all year round. There is plenty of shade along the paths and plenty of benches to sit and rest if needed. A great place to take company from out of town for lunch and a walk around the park. The food is very good and the seating overlooks the pond and the grounds. The path is level and is wheel chair friendly. I highly recommend this park. It's a great and beautiful day trip for all ages.

Morikami Gardens is an ideal spot for families and kids, consistently delivering a wonderful experience. The cafe’s food is reliably excellent, and even though my kid favorite dish isn’t on the menu anymore, the staff always accommodates by preparing it if they have the ingredients. The genuine kindness of everyone at the restaurant adds to the overall positive experience. The beautiful gardens make having a membership truly worthwhile, especially if you’re a local.

Morikami is always a pleasure to visit. Everything is well maintained and clean. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the trails are accessible for most people. It is a nice place for pictures. I only wish they let visitors bring in their own food. It would be nice to sit by the lake and eat a snack while chatting with my friends.

I have visited this place so many times and it never fails to bring a sense of calmness and beauty. I always go during weekdays in the morning as its less crowded. My favorite spot is the bamboo grove where you can see the ancient gate and also the contemplation pavilion.

Nice japanese gardens to walk through. This was built up by a japanese family some 100 years ago and has been donated to be enjoyed by everybody after their passing away. There is a little museum in the park and they have as well a bonsai collection on display in a park area. We noted at the end of the park high in the tree a large owl. Nice place to visit and walk around.

  • 5/5 Carmen R. 9 months ago on Google
Simply relaxing and very educational. We spent a nice time there, regardless of being a rainy afternoon. First, we visited the store, which carries a nice variety of Japanese products; then had a light lunch at the café and finally strolled around the different gardens.

WEAR MOSQUITO REPELLENT. The gardens are beautiful and would make a great place for 1st date. Its romantic and you walk at your own pace. However, would suggest going earlier in the day - the heat in June at 1pm is oppressive. Wear a hat and bring a fan. The mosquitoes are relentless- we forgot bug spray and paid the price. Lastly, tends to rain by 3pm in June and July, so bring an umbrella too. Its a lovely experience to bring visitors to as well.

This place is beautiful and scenic. Perfect for meditation, relaxation, and of course to appreciate the Japanese culture and settlers who founded this slice of beauty in Florida. Little bummed that one of their exhibits was closed for remodeling, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Definitely recommend coming here.

  • 5/5 Aninda Z. 1 year ago on Google
Great museum and Japanese gardens. Very peaceful walk around the garden. The walk is around 3 quarters of a mile. Nice sitting locations available as well. We weren’t able to enjoy the cafe as we were a bit late to the establishment. The bonsai collection is quite nice. Not a bad place to stop by on your way from Miami to Orlando or vice versa. Ample parking was available. Definitely worth the entry fee.

Very beautiful place! Amazing for walks and pictures, very peaceful and quiet! A small piece of Japan in the middle of South Florida! We absolutely loved walking there among trees and mini water falls, watching birds and fish in the ponds. They also have absolutely stunning garden of bonsai trees and few rock gardens where you can sit down and reflect or connect with the surrounding nature. Visitors also try to behave quietly so not to disturb the perfect balance between people and nature.

This is a very peaceful and beautiful place. The sounds, views and wildlife made the experience here uplifting. They maintain this park very well and I have no complaints. Walking through the doors, admission was pleasant and the greeters were very helpful and kind. I found my peace here during unsettling times.

A most see museum … especially the garden - surreal. A sculpturally landscape design to host a wedding, take a stroll w/significant other or bring the family & participate at the children’s activity room. Inside the museum displayed unique Art, interesting items at the gift shop. The cafe staff friendly & the food was authentic for sure !!! Bravo 👏🏽 will be back.

This place is a must if you’re visiting the area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to walk around and clear your mind. I’d recommend using bug spray before you go though as some of the gardens have lots of mosquitoes.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Entry was fairly inexpensive. The gardens were extremely beautiful. The area is pretty large so make sure to plan out what you want to see in advance. My favorite were the bonsai trees.

I love love love this place. I went for the first time recently and I will be going back. It was very very peaceful. The gardens are well kept, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and there was plenty to look at. I walked around the gardens twice and watched the videos inside the museum. I would recommend if you are in the area and want a nice quiet nature walk. Would also be a good place for picnics or bird watching

It's a fascinating design. It's not a very large place. It doesn't need to be! The use of space truly is maximized and well utilized. Were it not for the design, one can easily believe that one is walking through a wild expanse and forest. If one is walking while storming, it gets much better! Words don't do it justice! One has to be there and see it all! Enjoy!

お盆をおめでとうございます!Absolute favourite place to visit for relaxation, meditation and walks. This is complete immersion into serenity and depth of the Japanese art and culture, and we are so happy this place exists so close to our house. We were lucky and happy to visit during the Obon weekend and are looking to come again soon. The Taiko performances were mesmerising!

Beautiful museum and gardens! The museum had a featured exhibit of watercolors from a Japanese American who was put in the internment camps during World War II. The gardens were gorgeous and very inspiring. I do not recommend the gardens during the summer months unless there’s a nice breeze. It gets very hot in this part of Florida during the summer.

  • 5/5 Christina L. 8 months ago on Google
We went to visit this attraction while vacationing in West Palm Beach. If you have interest in Japanese culture, it's a great place to visit. The museum is designed very nicely. It takes about 45 minutes to walk through the garden. If you're really taking your time, taking pictures and enjoying the scenery, it can take longer. I like that it provides information in the theater about George Morikami. It gives you great information about him, his work, and some history. Make sure you visit Cornell Cafe!!! Excellent food!!!

Gorgeous place to walk around at. There’s not much to do here but if you just want a nice peaceful place to walk around at and get some fresh air and those steps in, then this place is perfect. $14 entry per person. No dogs allowed except service animals.
