Paddling
is
the
main
attraction
here
for
me.
Admission
into
the
park
is
$1.50
per
person.
The
non-motorized
boat
launch
is
free.
Boat
rentals
are
available.
It's
amazing
to
have
this
nature
preserve
in
the
middle
of
the
city
(Dania
Beach),
where
you
can
lose
yourself
in
the
canopy
of
many
mangrove
trails.
There
are
four
color
coded
trails
(white,
green,
blue,
and
red).
Depending
are
your
fitness
level
it's
easy
to
spend
1.5
to
4
hours
on
the
water
here.
The
Red
trail
is
the
furthest
away,
but
offers
the
most
fun.
That's
also
where
you'll
find
the
Anne
Kolb
Nature
Center
and
better
hiking.
The
White
trail
gets
a
bit
tight
in
places,
but
isn't
as
long.
The
Green
and
Blues
trails
are
a
bit
more
open.
If
you
want
crystal
clear
water,
you'll
need
to
head
toward
Rainbow
River,
near
Ocala
in
Central
Florida.
Here
the
water
is
disappointingly
brackish.
The
wildlife
is
a
bit
sparse,
too,
but
you
should
come
across
some
egrets,
herons,
iguanas,
and
flying
fish.
Right
now,
the
children's
playground
is
under
construction,
but
the
grounds
are
still
used
for
birthday
parties
and
picnics,
etc.
