It was a Wonderful Experience, we had lots of close animal encounters and it was an amazing experience. We need to drive through in our car and follow a route and it's divided based on different geographical areas. The audio tour is quite helpful and informative. The park is very well maintained and the staff is very helpful and courteous. We spent close to 2.5 to 3 hrs, but we couldn't enjoy the water park, so plan at least for 5-6 hrs so the whole park + water rides can be enjoyed. There is also a giraffe feeding experience and children would definitely love it. I would definitely recommend it. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

Such a cool place!! The Drive through Safari was awesome. Got up close to so many animals. The actual zoo part was really neat. Lots of shaded areas, 4 gift shops, 3 mini water parks, tons of rides for kids, paddle boat area, not to mention a entire giraffe feeding pavilion! They also have foods trucks and a huge Disney like Cafeteria. If you have kids bring them here!! 👍🏻

Oh. My. Goodness. I was visiting my aunt who lives in the area and she wanted to bring me here. I have been to other drive through safari places, some where you can feed the animals, some where you can not feed the animals. This falls into the category where you can not feed the animals, which I like because the animals stayed away from your car. And they had lions! And rhinoceroses! And so many more! The drive through took a lot of time as there was so much to look at. Then you can leave. OR you can park, and do the walking tour! They are doing some renovations so be aware of that! There is a water park, but neither my aunt nor I were interested in that. There was an absolutely cute show with a few birds and a handler. It was amazing. I highly recommend for anyone in the area.

I read the bad and good reviews carefully before coming. Here is my objective opinion about my visit: 1.- There is a dedicated area for picnic 2.- Restrooms are super clean. 3.- Theme and souvenir stores have average prices. In fact, much better than other parks. 4.- Yes, the lions can be seen through a fence, and it is safer that way. People with kids will consider that policy the most intelligent one, provided that lions and other animals are savage and will act according to instincts. 5.- By the time of my visit, I had the opportunity to see several animals being fed by the crew members. There are no animals showing signs of malnutrition. This is one of those Zoos that has animals in excellent shape! 6.- Rhinos instead are free, however, at least five Pick Up Trucks from the park were moving strategically so the rhinos would not represent a threat for visitors. 7.- All areas are very clean. Either the drive or the walk-through are well kept, even the entire road is free from stools. 8.- Staffing personnel are very kind and knowledgeable. It's worth the trip

Small park which can be easily completed in 2-3 hours total. The park is separated into two areas. First, the drive through safari was nice with 30 species of large animals. The drive is in the comfort of your own air-conditioned car at your own pace with two lanes offered. Second, the walk through park is nicely landscaped however several of the displays were empty and all animal feeding stations had been removed (May 2022). There is a childrens area in the back of the park which has a splash fountain. Some small rides like a carousel, paddle boats and slides. Most disappointing were the food and eating options all of which were extremely overpriced and poorly serviced. Bring your own drinks and let the kids wear their swim suits. Nice afternoon.

Awesome place! My wife was here in 1969 and she was like a kid again. Obviously there are more animals and activities now. Friendly and helpful staff. Well kept, clean, and the staff is very attentive towards the animals and visitors. We stayed at the KOA RV park which was also awesome. Overall it was a great time and place. I will definitely return.

This place has really declined over the years. I was so excited to take family from out of town here after spending years when my kids were younger, coming repeatedly to drive through the park, enjoy feeding the giraffes, plus the water park and mini zoo park. I don’t know what happened but other than elk, like animals, they have significantly fewer main draw animals (and we were following the truck that was feeding them so we had the best opportunity to see animals up close). For example, they no longer have elephants and they used to. There used to be so many rhinoceros, and now there are only a few, Ive got to give credit to Lion Country Safari for clearly sharing information that the water slides & certain other areas are currently under construction. However, almost the entire zoo and play area should be under renovation. Much of it hasn’t been touched for at least 10 years and it shows. It has noticeably aged and worn seating areas, play areas, restaurants, and dining options. I respect it must cost quite a lot to take care of exotic animals however, I don’t think it’s worth the ticket price. I’ve spoken to several people since our trip last weekend. The consensus is unanimous that pretty much everyone who is a local feels this place is currently lacking. Hopefully they get donors or other funds to turn it around.

If you love wildlife this is your spot. I have so many photos I will be able to load them all. They feed the animals near the road so you will get a close look at all the different species. After the safari is done about 1hr driving you get to go into the amusement park were they have rides and other games. Excellent stop if you are in the area.

Absolutely AMAZING day! My family and I were pleasantly surprised how awesome this place was. About an hour long awesome safari in your own car, absolutely GORGEOUS animals. You can tell these animals are well taken care of. Then when you're done with the safari, there's just so much to do! Our favorite part was feeding the lorikeets. I had about 5 on me at one time! The staff is all very friendly and informative and the beautiful made it that much better. Thanks for the awesome day!

We had such a great time and we are excited to go back again! We did the drive through Safari and the kids loved it! Then we went to the water park and they really enjoyed it too! The parking was easy and the park was so safe, clean and organized. I went alone with two young children and it was stress free. The best time.

Absolutely loved this Safari and Adventure park! It was a stress free day; spent an hour through the Safari and the remaining of the day at the park with plenty of things to do! There were complimentary mini golf, boat paddling, joy rides, water park and trains. No lines=hassle free! Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable.

Our second time visiting. First time was 10 years before. Was everything that we remembered. Had a great time. Picked the perfect day, as it was cloudy and a bit cool so even the lions were out and active. Was able to get many great photos. Almost seemed like all of the animals were trained to pose for us.

Excellent place, my children, my husband and I were delighted. The safari is very entertaining, you can see the animals up close, it is seen that they are well cared for and the audio that tells you about each animal is in English and Spanish. In addition to the safari, there are more animals that you can see already walking. There are also other attractions that are included with your ticket. The water park was a lot of fun. There are several restaurants, all the staff are very friendly and in general the place is very clean and nice. We liked it so much that we will not hesitate to buy the annual pass!

This was easily one of the most incredible experiences of my life. And to think that for years it’s been right in my backyard! This is the sort of place you visit annually when it’s so close to where you live, and I’ll definitely be back to meet my new zebra friends again (we will keep in touch via Facebook til then). The only piece that was super disappointing was the audio tour, as it didn’t match up at all with the actual route. Normally I’d deduct a star for something like that which is so crucial to the experience, but they can keep all 5 stars because the drive-through experience was just that amazing.

This is an amazing place to take the kids. The ride is about an hour long but definitely worth it. You get to see plenty animals and you can stop and take pictures. BRING SWIMWEAR! There are fun water activities at the end for the kids. Two to be exact. The waters not too deep but if you have a toddler you’ll want to go inside with them. They have lifeguards all around and a plenty lounge chairs. They even sell bathing suits there, not much a selection for boys though. So take a change of clothes. They have a carousel and a train ride as well. It’s $5 to feed the giraffe and you can get memorable pictures there too. I LOVED everything about this place.

A very unique experience where you can drive through several exhibits to experience animals up close and personal. Plan to spend about 60-90mins and be sure to have enough gas in the car. It's mostly antelope, gazelle, etc. with chimps and lions as well. They provide an audio guide you can access via your phone, which I'd recommend as otherwise you don't really know what you're looking at. The price is a bit steep though, wish it was more affordable.

We played audio tour while driving through the park. The experience is fantastic. However, we had to download the app so it’s easier to fast forward to the section we want. Hope the audio tour can be made into sections/chapters so visitors can just choose from a list. We saw plenty animals and heard good stories. It’s nice. The park staff are very friendly. Too bad the highest water slide was not open. Last note: maybe go to bathroom first before officially start the drive-through experience.

Wow! What a great variety of animals in their natural habitat. The drive thru tour is amazing and then the rest of the park activities make for a complete day. Feeding animals is always fun and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

We visited on a regular Sunday morning and no that crowded/busy. The drive through experience was amazing. The walk through was also a good experience from feeding/petting and water park. If you are visiting with family and kids, I would recommend for before hand planning for food, clothes and drinks.

Great place to take the family. Driving through is great and then the walking area is even better. Feed the goats and giraffes, ride the boat around the spider monkeys. Carousel, small elephant ride, and train for the kids. Definitely a must stop for great memories.

Great Safari!! Lots of awesome species that come right up to the car! Good is good but a bit pricey. Lots of other things to see and do. The water park was closed, will have to return in the dinner to experience that! Had a fabulous day!

When we first did our research, it mentioned that is 55 acres park. But in reality, most of the safari part is self drive, makes it super relaxing to go on your own pace. Animals are easy spot and used to cars. We did have an ostrich trying to attack our side mirror. Lots of animals brought here and trying to give them best environment. But it’s still fence in. The adventure park portion is not as exciting. Old rides that really has nothing to do with animals, and some feeding area and petting zoo. I recommend going to safari in different time of the day so you get to see different animal activities.

This place is AMAZING!! The prices are so reasonable because this place offers so many fun activities! From an outdoor drive through safari, to the indoor zoo where you can feed the giraffes (however, to feed the giraffes is an extra $5); there are so many things you can do. This place also offers free mini golf, a small outdoor waterpark and a few little amusement park rides for the kids and a petting zoo, all of which are included in the daily ticket price and doesn’t cost extra. You could spend all day here and never get bored. You can also drive through the outdoor safari as many times as you like, which is so cool because you get so close to the animals. The animals just freely roam around and some even end up getting close to your car. If you are looking for a fun filled day trip, then this is definitely the perfect place!

Excellent experience with a drive through Safari and optional medium-sized amusement park at the end. Definitely one of the unique activities in all of Florida, if not the USA. The drive through Safari takes about one to two hours to complete (your individual time spent watching the animals is up to you, can be longer or shorter). Large variety of animals. Many of them have no problem walking up to the cars or stopping on the road. Very fun to watch. The Safari is great for kids, or older less mobile people, or both. As for the amusement park, this is great for kids, generally 2yrs old to 10 yrs old. Variety of rides, food, ice cream, and more animal exposures. There is also a water park for little kids.

Lion Country Safari is an excellent place for your kids or even a solo drive if you are an animal lover. Grab some snacks and take a stroll looking at amazing animals not confined to cages. Photo disclaimer: I am a professional photographer and did not place myself or the animals in danger. Images of the animals are taken from a safe distance. DO NOT ATTEMPT.

No#1 attraction in Florida. Online ticket booking was easy. It takes close to 75 to 90 minutes to compete the Safari drive. A lot of animals can be seen walking closely and the kids loved the experience. The Walk through Safari and the Kids rides were excellent. A must visit place for kids and families.

Nicely kept, got to see all the animals (who had a lot of space to roam around as opposed to other places which I LOVE) & we fed the giraffes! It was a lot of fun & if you have kids they would love the little water part & petting zoo they have. Workers there are very sweet & I can't wait to go back.

What a fun spot! Took my wife there to experience something different, and it absolutely delivered! We took the 4 mile long animal drive and saw Zebra, Giraffe, Lion, Rhino, Alligator and so much more. We also got to feed the Giraffe ($5 for lettuce) and birds ($2 for nectar). There was a petting zoo but we did not do that. We also grabbed lunch at the restaurant, and it was good. They had local craft beer as well! If you have kids there's also a water park plus mini golf, slides, and other attractions! Be aware there is no getting out of the car once you enter the drive through. It took us almost an hour to get through so plan accordingly.

This place was one of the most exciting experiences. You laugh, see different types of animals and please note the animals will come up to your car while driving. You also can experience feeding the giraffes in a separate location. It's a family affair, bring them out to have a wonderful time. Also there's a water park experience for you and your children to enjoy, and Make sure you arrive early to take advantage of all the activities. Love it and would recommend it to All. Thank you.

This was the perfect activity for someone who is recuperating from a hospital stay or someone with limited mobility. You just stay in your car, windows rolled up, adjust the air conditioning, turn on the audio tour and enjoy the next 90 minutes! The animals were in a more natural habitat than a zoo, and there were large numbers of all of the species. With each section of the park we saw different varieties of animals and learned so much info on each breed. We could pull over at any time and pause the recording and reference the map with photos and descriptions of the animals. It was not a rushed tour. You could take as long as you liked at any part of the tour. We especially liked the zebras and giraffes. After the car tour, there was other parts of the park to explore. There were plenty of benches to rest on and maps to show you where you were. A very enjoyable day! Best part was feeding the giraffes. They sold three leaves of romaine lettuce for $5 and you could feed the giraffes from a platform where you are face to face with them. Definitely the highlight of the afternoon.

Such a fun experience! The animals were active and were close to the road which allowed everyone to get a good look at them. The drive through was fun for everyone and then exploring the rest of the park was equally enjoyable. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The water park looked very fun(we didn’t go this time but will be back). The little boat tour with Charlotte was great and seeing all the other animals inside the park felt like going to the zoo. Highly recommend!

Had such a fun time, animal sightings were plentiful, it was so hot (but hey, Florida) but otherwise good. The giraffe feeding was fun ($5) and the splash pad was enjoyed by my 3 year old. The chicken tender basket was surprisingly good, I do wish they had water fill up stations, however they were willing to refill our waters at the concession stand. A fun family day!

Great place for little kids. We brought our 17mo here on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy in the morning. After lunchtime though the place was packed. Our kid loved the petting zoo and all the rides. The drive through safari was pretty nice too. Our kid napped a little while the adults enjoyed the drive thru. Saw a lot of animals up close but the lions were not active when we went in the afternoon.

Holy Moly WOW!!!! I have been here probably five times and it gets better each time. The experience is always different because the animals roam free. On this adventure we were less than a foot away from some rhinos. An ostrich walked right up to the car and put his head against the window. Everybody had a blast. Then we walked through the actual zoo itself for a whole different experience. I bought the annual pass because this is the number one place requested when visitors come to my house in Florida.

I had an amazing experience I recommend you to bring towels sunblocks water and some snacks for the kids. Safari tour was a little long because there are other cars front of you and you cannot pass through them. The cell phone I tried taco and it was good. The splash park was the most fun for my son and there are two waterslides. I highly recommend it we will definitely go back again❤️

The drive-through safari was amazing. It takes about an hour to drive the whole thing. We went on a weekday, so there were only about a dozen cars at that time. After, we went through the walking park area. Paddle boats, carousel and attractions for kids. We didn't visit the splash park, but there is a lot to experience. Feeding the giraffes was a unique experience. I definitely recommend making the trip!

Fantastic experience and it was great to drive through the safari with the audio (you can play them on your phone either through streaming or downloaded). Got to see tons of animals up close and it's not an experience you can easily get. The kids also enjoyed the water park afterwards and fed the giraffe ($5 to buy their lettuce). My kids (8 and 6) were a bit too old for the amusement park (we did play some mini golf). Overall, you can easily spend 4-5 hours here.

Was not sure about paying the entrance fee for a drive-through park, but wow was it worth it. Not only is the safari and audio guide provided FABULOUS, there are so many animals to see and a whole zoo/mini theme park at the and of the safari. They even have a water park. The restaurant is huge. We only walked through it on the way out though. Getting to feed the Giraffe and goats was an awesome experience for me, my mom and brother, but watching my 23 month nephew do it was the best part. We had a blast. He stopped to read out the letters along the pathways. He did get a little freaked out in the bird enclosure, but my brother and I though it was cool. Next time I'm definitely going to take a ride on the boat and bring him on the train. If you've got young ones with you, this is an awesome experience. If they are a little older, I suggest making a day out of it.

I have been going here since I was a child. I live in New York but often visit Florida to see family, and this is a place we always go to. It is great for all ages. Each time you go, it is a new experience. Sometimes you will have an ostrich pecking at your car window; other times, you will have a rhino walking in the road and stopping traffic. It is truly a magical experience. Knowing that the animals are well taken care of and seem happy and healthy is awesome. The walk-through part is also super fun! Feeding the giraffes is a must. The gift shops are also affordable so that you can take home a fun souvenir. Everyone who travels in the area must visit this place at least once. Make sure you have your camera ready so you can capture videos and photos along the way!

This was such a fun day! Despite the Florida heat being at 115, we hydrated and saw and did everything. We spent the entire day there. There is so much to do and see. The driving experience to see the animals was amazing. We got to see lions roaring! The rhinos were tired and sleeping but they were amazing to see. We fed a giraffe and goats and even got to brush some llamas. There is a train ride, carousel and a dumbo like ride. My little was amazed by everything and didn't want to leave. Honestly, I didn't either. Great place to spend the day! The splash pad is a great way to end the day and cool off.

Amazing place to spend the day. Definitely the top option for families. It would be good if you download the audio for the safari before going there, the signal is not very good. Take some cash to go feed the animals, 50 cents for fish and 5 dollars for the giraffe.

Had a great time. My grandma has mobility issues, so this was perfect for her. They wouldn't let me in with my convertible (kinda makes sense), so they made me rent one of their vans for another $40, so keep that in mind if you have a drop top.

We went with the entire family and there was something for everyone to do and see. The exhibits/animals were fantastic. We brought our own lunch and there was plenty of seating. A bit pricey overall. We recommend printing your tickets ahead because the entrance scanner does not work well on mobile ticket barcodes.

Great place to spend the day with the family or friends. Pricey, however I'm sure the upkeep of all those beautiful animals is not cheap!! Splash pad for the kids. You can feed giraffes, goats, and fish. Upgrade our day passes to season passes. I recommend packing a cooler. Enjoy!

Title: An Exceptional Encounter with Nature at Lion Country Safari Review: My visit to Lion Country Safari, located at 2003 Lion Country Safari Rd, Loxahatchee, FL, was an immersive dive into the natural world. The space itself, a vast expanse of 600 acres, transported me far from the bustle of everyday life and back to a time before the constraints of the pandemic. The striking aspect of the park was how effortlessly it seemed to emulate the animals' natural habitats. Observing lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras roaming freely and interacting in their respective ecosystems was akin to flipping through a beautifully illustrated encyclopedia, only infinitely more engaging and lifelike. The experience was educational yet enjoyable and entertaining. Driving through the park at my own pace allowed me to appreciate each animal truly. Alternatively, the tram tours offered an informative narrative that complemented the visual spectacle unfolding before my eyes. Walking through designated areas offered a different perspective, inviting a sense of closeness with the creatures without infringing on their space. Among the park's many intriguing facets, I was particularly fascinated by the recreated environments such as The Gorongosa, The Serengeti Plains, The Kalahari Bushveldt, and Las Pampas. These replicas offered a snapshot of diverse geographies, giving me a sense of having traveled the globe in a day. Several Google reviews echo my sentiments about Lion Country Safari. Many reviewers emphasize the joy of seeing various animals up close in a natural-like setting. The park's cleanliness and maintenance also frequently earn praise. In conclusion, my experience at Lion Country Safari was profoundly enriching and enjoyable. It was a day full of adventure and learning about various creatures in an engaging, hands-on manner. I recommend this destination to those who share a love for animals and are seeking a memorable experience with nature. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We love this place so much that we bought the summer pass so we could go as many times as we could in August. Our 5 year old loves the waterpark as much as the merry go round, elephant ride and mini golf course - not to mention the safari itself. Pro-tip: bring a water bottle and ask for ice water, there are a few snack places that are happy to oblige.

We always wanted to visit. We had a disabled person in the car so we didn’t do any of the out of car activities. We did drive through the safari twice. We were able to pull over and watch the animals as long as we wanted. The only animals you don’t see real well are the lions. This is because they are enclosed in giant chain link fences. Also they have a fairly large area to roam meaning they are not always up close to the fence. Warning signs reminding folks what to and not to do should be more prominent. Stupid us, we stopped sort of near the rhinos. They were milling around. On the way out of the rhino area the sign warns you to not stop near the rhinos. Not sure how near is near. You will need to keep your windows up so make sure your AC works well. We did one trip with some rain and another without. Both were enjoyable. If ai lived close I absolutely would have an annual pass to this park. It was delightful!

Well worth the price of admission. The drive through park was awesome. Up close to the animals. The walk through park was just as impressive. All the animals are well taken care of and seem content in their environment. We did not eat there, but prices seemed reasonable as were the prices in the gift shop. Next time we'll have to try the waterpark.

Very fun and educational. The audio tour (free) is a must to listen to. There is a full-fledged zoo to visit right after you’re done with the safari part all for a very reasonable price. Lots of opportunities to take pictures. Limited but reasonable food options. The gift store was sadly understocked—-there’s lots of more business opportunities there for the owners.

We took the kids here and they had so much fun . Driving thru the park is a great experience. So many cool animals to see .You can listen to the guided tour on your phone . Feeding the giraffes was the best part 🦒❤️

This place is awesome, a drive thru safari then you get to go inside the park and they got more rides and more animals and water park. You can pack food and have a picnic or buy what they have , only thing was the indoor dining area was under renovation when i went . But my kid had an awesome time and so did i just watching him be so happy .

Tell you what, we had an awesome day at Lion Country Safari. The animals were active and beautiful. The white rhinos were amazing. The walk through park is clean, any age group will enjoy all the fun. Especially feeding the giraffes, fish, etc. Loved our experience.

Very beautiful place not far from the big cities. You’ll drive through the park and see animals walking right along you. It is worth every penny I paid for it. Definitely returning back. They have plenty attractions for kids.

If you are in Miami or West Palm Beach, visit this great park. In the “Safari” You will have the opportunity to drive trough the different environments in your own car and enjoy different ecosystems and plenty of animals; it’s is very impressive and fun because you can watch the animals very close as they approach to the vehicles. We had a close encounter with Bulls, Giraffes and a couple of Rhinos! 🤯 After completing the ride, they have a great water park (included in your admission) that is the perfect place to refresh and enjoy a sunny day!
