I’ll be a regular. I stumbled across the reviews for this place and had to give it a try. Hands down the best homemade BUTTERMILK pancakes in Broward. I’ve known Margate forever and I’d have never thought to stop here, its a rather uneventful plaza otherwise. I’ll be back for lunch! Real ingredients and friendly owner operated business. Great music playing too 😎Hard to find nowadays!

It's about time somebody did breakfast right! I don't use these platforms to complain about restaurants you got enough people nitpicking. I only take the time to communicate when and entrepreneur takes the time and effort to do it right. The Gem Eatery is 10 to 10 for me. Husband and wife team really knock it out the park, everything from scratch, the cutest restaurant with great atmosphere & attention to detail. tables Immaculate, real butter, real eggs, in house biscuits, muffins, and Cinnabons, plus real customer service & southern hospitality not to mention the food was phenomenal w/ hot coffee. With so many Concepts having/choosing to cut cost and Corners it's noticeable that the GEM is sticking true to Quality ingredients and quality service. If you go on the weekend expect awake but if you won't complain about waiting 5 hours for an iPhone don't complain about waiting 30 min to sit for excellent homemade from scratch food that you can tast. I think Quality it's worth the wait, and REAL quality takes time. So says ME. We will be back!!

Delicious homemade food! Lovely mom and pop restaurant. The location is definitely a gem :) definitely give their cinnamon buns or the shrimp and grits a try.

Where do they think they are they can charge prices like this for simple stuff like this at a breakfast luncheonette? They think they are in East Boca? I walked right the hell out. It’s in a beat up dead shopping plaza in Margate. $9 one egg breakfast sandwiches? $16 basic omelettes? $3 plate share charges? Not when Lester’s and other spots in Margate and adjoining towns are at least $2 or $3 less on many items. Even Ethos’ omelette in the fancy Promenade in Coconut Creek is only $13, and that is a NICE restaurant.

Been wanting to try since pandemic and finally made our way... and kick myself for not getting here sooner... Don't judge a book by its cover...although it is located in a older non-descript stripmall, this family owned and run restaurant is a Hidden GEM... From the moment you walk in you realize that this place is different...the vibe, the atmosphere the friendliness. You are immediately hit with the smell of fresh cinnamon buns... and see Pic for why... The atmosphere is neighborly friendly... tables talking to other tables and it is this vibe that welcomes people. They do not skimp on the food either... Ordered the Giambrotte omelette. Cane with standard grits, Oatmeal or potatoes... the omelet not only filled the plate, but the mixins were plentiful. Took a cinnamon bun home as well. Service was impeccable and on point. ( Ask for Sophia!!) Glad I finally got to this hidden GEM EATERY.

I ordered a BLT and A cafe con Leche and it cost a little over $13. The menu said the BLT was $7.99 and the café con Leche was $2.99. M but instead I was charged $9.50 for a BLT. Obviously prices went up because of Covid which is understandable. But if I’m gonna spend $10 for a BLT I better come with a lot of lettuce and tomato and had one strip of lettuce and one small piece of tomato. I don’t mind paying for something that I’m receiving but I think this was very subpar. I’d rather spend my money somewhere else. I love to support small businesses but fair is fair

Finally stopped by to try their Cinnamon Rolls that people rave about. The rolls are huge and are amazing. The best I've ever had. Better than that place in Homestead. If you haven't tried them, you have to go. Also tried a Pumpkin Spice one.

Very cozy and relaxed place to get a good breakfast or brunch. The food is amazing and they make everything in house, you can feel the care in the taste and find a true homemade food. The good music background is always a plus! We go there almost every week! My best recommendations are the Eggs Benedict and the Stuffed French Toast.

The food and service here is phenomenal. I live in Minnesota and my Dad lives down here and I make sure to eat here every time I’m here. The biscuits and gravy are some of the best, if not the best I’ve ever had! The biscuits and gravy are from scratch in house just like everything else here and doesn’t come out of a bag like most of the other places I’ve been to around here. Also, you can’t leave here without having a cinnamon roll. They are ridiculously good, also the best I’ve ever had. The owners have been there every time I’ve been there serving and cooking the food as well and are always welcoming. The portions and prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of food you will get here. I’ll be back again next time I’m in town.

I can now understand why The Gem Eatery gets Rave Reviews. They Deserve it! The best cinnamon bun appetizer I have ever eaten! The best! The most delicious corned beef hash I have ever tasted! Ever! And they make their own English muffins. And they are fantastic. The service is absolutely delightful. I will keep going out of my way to eat at the gym Eatery in Margate / Pompano Beach.

I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a good lunchon, this place comes straightaway to my head. very good and many types of food and a rich menu.great team, and good mood. And very important, the price is honest. I recommend this place with no doubt.

This is hands down the best breakfast I have ever had. Everything at this place is made from scratch with quality ingredients. You cannot get a better or more perfect eating experience. The staff are exceptionally friendly. I had quite a lot of food to enjoy and all of it was superb. I highly recommend if your in this area eating here.

It's a small family owned restaurant in Margate. I've eaten breakfast here multiple times, and every visit has been a pleasant experience. Menu is simple, food is good, place is clean, and service is prompt. I do suggest that everyone who dines here saves room for the HUGE cinnamon bun. It's delicious!

This is absolutely a hidden Gem in Margate, FL. We have been living in the area for the last 4 years, but this was our 1st time eating here. We Google breakfast spots near us and found the Gem and decided to try them based on the reviews and ratings. We ordered takeout, but they have dinn in options and are available on Huber eats and postmates for delivery. Everything is made fresh to order, so be patient, trust it's worth the little wait. I had the French toast that just melted in my mouth. My husband had Giambotte Omlete with potato home fries and sausage gravy biscuits. Everything was phenomenal. We will definitely eat here again.

Just a very cute little "gem". Food is really quite good. Baked goods all taste freshly made and very well may be made in house. Service is a little slow, but not horrible and gives the feeling of homeyness. Place is super clean and up to date.

I heard about this place while on another breakfast run (motocycle). Let me tell you, this place lived up to its reputation. The food was so good (all homemade) that I will have to try most of the menu. The service was great. Even the customers were great!!!! True home town feel.

We decided to try this place based on its great reviews and that they always respond to every review its ever written. This family owned restaurant has become our new favorite breakfast spot! Everything tastes delicious, portions are huge, bakery is homemade and their biscuits and cinnamon buns were to die for! ( the cinnamon bun is a must have, so big that we could finish it!) Definitely served with love and cooked with the best ingredients.

Food was really good, I liked the chef/gentlemans behavior, he was so friendly and welcoming. It's a basic breakfast place, food is not fancy but test is outstanding.

Nice little spot. Food is solid and consistent. Because it is small and the kitchen is run by pretty much one person, the average wait time is about 30 minutes . This is a bit long for lunch and breakfast basics (i.e. burgers, pancakes, etc.) All in it still is a great local spot.

This spot is my favored. I visit many restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very helpful and the cuisine they offer is so appetizing. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

This place really is a hidden gem! I was kinda skeptical looking from the outside, but my mind quickly changed when I walked in. When I walked inside, the aroma of the food made my mouth water! Literally smells like delicious food. The menu is so large, it was difficult to make a decision. My boyfriend and I were satisfied to say the least with our entrees. The food was as delicious as the place smelt! Will definitely be back! Staff was very friendly and helpful as well!

There are not enough stars available. We love this place! Giambotte omelette, PB&J french toast, strawberry & banana pancakes...barely a tip of the iceberg of what this place offers. Good low-carb options and carb-overload options - so something for everyone.

First visit. Owner greeted us with a warm welcome. Place was clean and with a sweet decor. Food was delicious. Great corned beef hash! Homemade English Muffins were amazing! Will definitely be back!

Came here because of the great reviews but when I walked into the door all I got was the feeling of "Why are you here" was met with unwelcome hellos- Maybe because we had a large group- your welcome for the buissness i brought btw-but when i could clearly hear the concerns expressed by the white folks across from us openly discussed with what seemed to be the owner/ manager who shared their views with them openly as if i couldn't see or hear them looking at our table our kids and us made me sick/disappointed -i chose to stand my ground held my head high and ate my food advised my family to continue to enjoy themselves and left but i don't see myself eating here ever again. They sat other white folks before us-took forever to take orders- food is decent - trust me your better off elsewhere - atmosphere isn't welcoming. I won't allow anyone i know to eat here. They don't deserve your buissness. As we were leaving a LGBT+ couple came into eat and same said group and owner/manager was heard talking about them i heard them ask where the baby they had would even come from. I wish our kids weren't with us to have experienced this but i used it as a lesson in life of how to deal with ppl like this. Very disappointed to say the least.

This is the gem I’ve been looking for ! Yes this place is great to eat. Looking forward to coming back on a date to eat. I ordered an egg whit owlets with a touch of their homestyle condiments. Let me tell you. I’m not going back to IHOP 😂😂. The guy (customer) across the room was kind and he offered me to try the Biscuit (🤫this one had bacon and cheddar. ohhh on the top! Gravy🤭) . Family friendly surroundings. Definitely consider going.!!!
