4.5🌟 Overall, a good experience. The food was delicious, we had the tacos, burritos and fajitas. The overall setting and vibe of the resturant was good. Parking space was available as well. The only downside (hence reduced star) was the service. The staff kept changing (not one staff assigned to one table) —so they messed up order and delivery. Had to keep new one explaning everything. But in general, good Mexican food.

I just ordered from here and had to do a review immediately. We ordered take out through Delivery Dudes and I have to commend Baja Cafe. This is the first place since this Pandemic that delivered me tacos that didn’t fall apart upon attempting to eat them. On top of that the shrimp tacos were outstanding and we also enjoyed the spinach enchiladas. I will definitely be ordering again. Must Try!

The staff was friendly and we did not get drinks. Perhaps that’s what they’re good at. But the food was NOT good. Taco Bell tasted better, only we dropped $85 on 2 adults and 3 kids! And we only got waters to drink. In short, overpriced, not delicious, wouldn’t recommend.

A hidden gem in Broward County. A small restaurant that's loaded with character and lots of smiles. The interior is beautifully decorated with classic Mexican throughout. The staff is kind and courteous. The bar is small and seats only 6 but it's a great stop for an afternoon margarita. The chips and salsa are delicious. The hot salsa is great, and I used it for dipping my add-on grilled shrimp in. Super delicious. A great atmosphere and good times to be had at Baja Cafe. Well worth a visit. Plenty of parking. Prices are very affordable, great if you're on a budget.

Food is great, incredible tequila selection and the staff is even better! If you enjoy tequila I don’t think you’ll find more knowledgeable people anywhere!

This place sucked. The food sucked and when I returned it, they didn’t comp it off my ticket. Instead they comped half my meal and tried to charge me for the rest. When I complained the “manager” told me that I should just take it out of the waitress tip and he would “make it up to her”. Like what?! That was very disappointing and I couldn’t believe my ears. I won’t be going back and I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone. I spent $130 and left feeling like I had been ripped off. And they took 30 minutes to return my card to me. Very slow service. Seriously don’t go here.

10 stars for customer service, but the food was not what I remembered. The Fried ice cream was still frozen inside and the exterior not fried, just kind of wet. The sangria was good though.

The salsa was good. That’s about it. We ordered the fajitas to go. The fajitas were flavorless. When visiting a Mexican restaurant, I expect great food, seasoned with herbs and spices. This was our first time trying Baja Cafe, so I’ll give them one more shot.

First time coming to this location and I'm just amazed, their food was delicious and drinks were pretty good. The wait period was not that long for our food to arrive and the service/workers were kind, quick , and wonderful. We would definitely return to location because this location brings comfort and amazing vibes.

Google says that I ate here last night but I thought the location name was Tijuana Taxi. While visiting from northern WI, my sister who lives locally took me here for dinner. They like the fajita special they have every Monday. We loved their margaritas. The fajitas were quite good, but did lack much spice. I realized that we were never given any green or red sauces which would have really complimented the food.

We used them for a catering service, for my daughters birthday party at our house. The food was an absolute hit. Everyone loved the set up. We had a taco bar with quesadillas and guacamole. They delivered it to our house and even had someone to help with serving to all of our guests. I would 100 percent recommend them for any catering service or party. We will definitely be using them again in the future. Thank you so much Priscilla for everything!

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Baja Cafe made us feel welcome, even though we arrived only 30 minutes before closing time. This was a stark contrast to our experiences at two other Mexican restaurants in the area, which turned us away despite supposedly being open. The warm and friendly service we received at Baja Cafe set the tone for a great dining experience. The food at Baja Cafe did not disappoint either. While the Chicken Chimichanga was small, it packed a big flavor punch. The Quaso was also a standout dish, impressing us with its delicious taste and quality ingredients. In addition to the food, we were also impressed with the selection of tequila available at Baja Cafe. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the options. Overall, we had a great experience at Baja Cafe. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the food and drink were top-notch. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and friendly service.

The place has a fun atmosphere and it's brightly painted and festive looking. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I didn't have drinks so i can't comment on them. The food is where this restaurant loses points. Everything on the plate is covered in florescent orange cheese. Nothing that I had was seasoned properly. The beans taste like dirt, the rice tastes like dirt, the salsa tastes like dirt.

Fun, friendly, relaxed, and tasty. Had a great experience at Baja Cafe. Our large group had a blast. The service was friendly, constant, while not overbearing. The food was plentiful and great tasting. If you're looking for a fun place to have quality food in a relaxed atmosphere, this place is a great choice.

Traveling 🛻 to Florida☀️🌴 with our dog we were a bit worried about finding pet friendly restaurants. Baja Cafe was amazing!! They got us a table outside and brought a bowl of water💧 for Shadow🐕. Best Mexican food😋🌶 Margarita 🍹 were tastey. Shelby was our server and was super friendly and took excellent care of us including the dog. 🥰We will continue to make this a must eat every trip to Florida. #realtorChERIE

I have been coming here off and on for over a decade. This is hands down the best Latin American restaurant in South Florida. The menu is constantly evolving. The staff is very kind and fun. The restaurant is family run, and you can tell they love making everyone happy. Also bring a second stomach. Portion sizes are quite generous.

Food was good, but honestly I didn't like the fact that there're not windows, and you can hear every single noise from the other tables, I'll try to get an outside table next time!

The best food! The only thing that came close to the great food was the great service. Shelby was the best server. We can't wait to return. Fish fajitas & cheese dip...omg...can't get any better. Very affordable. Thank you guys;especially Shelby!

Food and service excellent. Lots of items on the menu so bring your glasses and flashlight as it's tiny lettering. Needs a lunch menu as it's dinner pricing all the time.

Sat at the bar. It had to be at least 95 degrees. Nothing worse than lack of air conditioning in south Florida, that is of course unless it’s combined with bad food. I had Dos Tacos. How can you screw up a taco?I don’t know but they managed to do it. It was bland, tasteless and me at first I didn’t like the fact that they omitted the sour cream. After tasting some sour cream from my girlfriends meal I’m glad they did. I’m not sure the sour cream was bad but it sure did not add to the flavor of an already bad taco. I do not recommend this place. Go to Tequila Sunrise Mexican restaurant in Oakland Park if you want good Mexican food.

Although I was excited to try this restaurant after driving past it many times, I’m disappointed to say I was not very impressed. For the prices charged, the quality was not there in my opinion. The temperature inside is very warm for some reason, but I could probably deal with that. Almost none of our food came out as ordered, and not a single employee was in the dining area the entire time we ate our meal, so I couldn’t bring it to anyone’s attention. Our food also came out at room temperature, and it just wasn’t very enjoyable. I hope they significantly improve on order accuracy and quality, as well as staff training. I don’t think I will be back to find out though.

Love me some Baja, Been coming here for many years has to be 20-plus years now. There for a while, I lived up the street and would come every Friday or Saturday night. I have never been disappointed in their food or drinks.

This place feels like home! They have great drinks, delicious food and everyone is really friendly. There pork wings are my absolute favorite! I’ve been going here for many years and their food is always amazing. There are other Mexican restaurants to choose from near there but this place blows them all out of the water! Highly recommend!

Driven by too many times and decided to stop in after the Covid recovery. A number of places went off our radar, but we can say we will be frequent flyers for this place. Great, friendly service was only surpassed by their amazing salsa....and the food!!!! I wish they served their fresh salsa in a bucket. Generous portions and flavor!

I live right next to the Baja cafe. It is always packed with people having a good time. I ate in and it was amazing service, great food and great atmosphere. They go above and beyond from the service, food and customer service. Definitely recommend! They really care about you! Shout out to Priscilla!

My daughter wanted authentic Mexican food and guided me to Baja Cafe. They have a nice variety of dishes to choose from. Chips and dip are automatically brought to the table before you place a order. I chose the blackened Mahi-Mahi, refried beans, broccoli and squash. It was delicious and I will return for the food and the wait staff. One customer bought a shirt from the restaurant that had a taco print all over it. Her waitress was helpful in selecting the right size to make her customer happy and made it a fun experience. There are seats outside the front of the restaurant for customers who bring their fur baby with them. The pet is given a bowl of cold water to keep them cool while their pet parents enjoy lunch.

Been wanting to stop here forever. Really good food. Satan's Revenge Burrito was great. They were pretty busy, but service was fantastic. Unlimited chips and salsa, great guacamole and the black beans were delicious!

  • 3/5 Despina K. 7 months ago on Google
If you are in the mood for happy hour they have two for one drinks that are reasonably priced and tasted good. The nacho appetizer and guacamole was good as well. The frustrating part of our visit was we were a table of six and the bill was put together which was fine as our party Venmoed the person paying. Majority of our party left already paying the person who put the check on their card and the waitress said "Oops, Sorry I forgot to add drinks" and took the check back after everyone as indicated sent their money to the person paying, who got stuck paying more of the check. It was her fault for forgetting. She should have just ate the 2 drinks that she forgot to put on the check after already giving us the check to pay. Because of this poor service, it frustrated us and chances are we might not go back. Be aware and pay attention to your check. You might get screwed in the end!

Came in for lunch the other day. Ellie and Catherine were very attentive considering the amount of tables they had at once. Smiles and friendly service all around! The food was delicious and well worth it. Hope to be greeted by them again next time!

The restore clean and the service very nice. We’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. The food was average. They bill themselves as a California Mexican but having lived in California and Texas this was like no taste we’d ever had. The shredded beef and the Ranchero sauce both had an oddly sweet tomato flavor and while some might like that, it wasn’t for us.

We ate tacos at 1pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating. The host and waiter were friendly and the menu had many items. My husband ordered the steak tacos with beans and rice and I got the mahi mahi tacos with beans and rice. Of all the items my favorite was the refried beans. The Mexican rice had a Tex-Mex flavor that I didn't like and the mahi mahi was simply cooked (tasted very seafood-ey). The steak tacos were okay. To drink we had Pepsi and fruit punch Jarrito soda. The ambiance is nice but the food is just not to my preference. I would try another menu item.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Grew up near by. Even though I live a few hours away, it's still a treat to come here and enjoy some good Mexican food while in town. Always recommend this place to anyone. Amazing staff. Owner comes by to make sure everyone is happy. Just good genuine food and people.

Not sure what is better, the food or the service. I got Carne asado (steak burrito, deliciousness on a plate, accompanied with rice and black beans). Hubby got steak fajitas (perfect, with refried beans and rice) They offered 2 for 1 margaritas (for those who drink) Free chips and awesome salsa. Great portion size. Management visited every table. Wait staff was super efficient and very friendly. I give it two thumbs up!

We are on are way to Deerfield again taking a load...truck 🚚 driving. Last time while my husband was doing his job, I ran over there to grab us some dinner. They were awesome 👌 it was fast, I was asked by multiple people if I had been helped, the food was amazing. And that was after we had to drive an hour and a half before we ate. It was authentic and homemade 😋 I can't wait to eat there again!

This is my new go to place for old school Mexican food. Its a bit rough looking, but the servers are great. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were great. My husband ordered the fajita and loved it. We will definitely be back soon.

The food is outstanding and the service is even better. All the staff are super nice and work together as a team, but Edgar is our favorite. My wife and I have been going there for years and we love sitting outside sipping our beers and sharing a delicious meal. Been to many Mexican restaurants in the area and this one is by far our favorite. No matter what you try, you won't be disappointed. How many places can you say that about? Even the chips and salsa are better than most.

2 for 1 margaritas on a Saturday afternoon lunch visit, yes, I am in! I was impressed by the meal and margarita selection. Excellent assortment of meat and vegetable burritos, tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas. The chips and dip are fresh and made in house and the service is as refreshing. Both our server and bartender visited the table, explained the food, and frequently checked on our satisfaction. We had a great experience and look forward to returning.

Great for a girls night. Every Wednesday is two for one tequila. The service is amazing, food is great and the staff is friendly and fun. They have taken every step to make sure they meet the new Covid guidelines, from every staff member wearing masks, hand sanitizer at front door, plexiglass between the tables.
