My husband and I went to the Taj Indian Cuisine in Deerfield Beach for dinner on Sunday night. What a great experience it was. The quality of the food is so good and on another level. I'm not even over exaggerating. I had the goat curry my husband had chicken Tikka masala with butter naan and we were both satisfied with what we got, as a matter of fact, we couldn't even finish our food, so we took what was left to go, so the portions are decent too. Will definitely be back! ☺️💪😜 Thank you for serving us nothing but deliciousness!

It is a hidden gem! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far, it has become my favorite Indian Restaurant in all of South Florida. If you are vegetarian/vegan, I recommend trying the entree of Vegetable Korma (medium spicy) with Kashmiri Naan on the side. Great flavors!

Our server did not understand the question we ask. I had a vegetarian rice food dish what tastet like old oil, and the cheese in the spinach tastet sour. Desert had as well a bad strange taste like rancid oil. When we ask to have the price of the one dish removed, the owner refused. The owner called the police and when the sheriff arrived the owner said we refused to pay the entire bill, which was not true. The police man was very nice and said we do not have to pay for something we didn't eat because we didn't like it. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience.

Just a beautiful yet authentic Indian cuisine restaurant. The entire restaurant was decorated beautifully to reflect the true Indian style and design. The music playing was Indian style, i really enjoyed it. My husband and kids enjoyed their meals, the flavor for each dish that we ordered was on point, perfectly balanced. The lamb chops were done to excellence!! They had antique candle holders at the table that I admired as we ate. Their portions were plenty and we had 2 containers left over. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly, catered to our every request. THIS SPOT IS A MUST TRY, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Thank you for the delicious food and beautiful ambience👌

I'm only giving this two stars instead of wine for the following reasons: food was very hot when it came out, and it was the only Indian restaurant open nearby. other than that, the food was utterly atrocious. I ordered the vegetable jalfrezi, which didn't even come in a curry sauce. It was made in a South Indian style and they use bottom-of-the-barrel vegetables for the mix. I was expecting something in a sauce, something that I actually would taste good. I'm not sure if that's typically or how they cook the vegetable jalfrezi, but if I were you I would not order it. moreover, we ordered the onion bhajis which were like hockey pucks. They were so hard and obviously not freshly made, yet they were drenched in oil as if they have been tried several times over. I'm glad I only got one meal here, or rather one entree, because spending anymore money would make my heart ache even more. There are so many better restaurants in the plaza itself - definitely take a look at other restaurants in the area because if you're counting on satisfying your Indian food craving, you will be most certainly left wanting more.

We like a lot eating out. Last night we arrived in this delicious place which friends told us about. We enjoyed a lovely time there with exceptional dishes and a nice crew and a great chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will no doubt return soon. We highly recommend.

Update: Because of the locality, I met a business associate at Taj today. WOW what a change! The food was delicious! I sampled everything on the Buffet and it was all authentic Indian cuisine of the highest quality. The buffet had the same item that were very authentic and they offered a variety of fresh made chutneys that were so delicious that I took a sampling of each of them home. The deserts were also flavorful and great! There was mango pudding that was AMAZING and the Kheer was also delicious. The Nan was the best, crispy, buttery and scrumptious. Everything was so good that I have already told several friends to go to Taj for a great meal! The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with white table clothes and cozy booths. They offer a full bar and friendly servers. If you want to experience great Indian food in a romantic atmosphere, Taj will not disappoint you. I am very happy to see such positive changes! The food here is Indian / American. This is not authentic or imaginative cuisine. It is as though they are trying for mediocrary. They have same old "butter chicken" and common dishes only on the buffet and for what they charge you would think they would have one lamb or goat dish. The gulab jammin is terrible and the rice pudding is tasteless. . The atmoshere is nice, even romantic and the servers are always polite and attentive. But I enjoy food that is designed to excite the taste buds and that is loyal to it's culture. I suppose there is a market for this food but the prices show that profit is their passion; rather than amazing food. I am disappointed because the chef is Indian and I know he knows he has sold out to the dollar instead of quality. Deerfield Beach could use some good Pakistani / Indian food, hold the white table clothes and fancy atmosphere and give me some authentic food.

Best Indian food this side of Mumbai. I love the lamb Rogan Josh, any of the korma and vindaloo dishes. If spicy is not your thing be careful to order MILD or some of the dishes from the less spicy menu. Either way it's not the heat but the other flavors that make this place a must for foodies like me.

Absolutely amazing. The mulligatawny soup appetizer was like a dream. The tikka masala the best I've had in the U.S. in 20 years. This place is a must for anyone who likes Indian food.

This place blew me away! I was expecting that food will be good but not that good!!!! Antonio our server was fabulous, he helped is make our choice easy and quick. This is definitely my favorite Indian restaurant. Butter chicken with fantastic, flavorful sauce and home made fresh Naan bread was to die for. Even the owner of the place came outside to make sure we enjoyed our food. I love Bollywood music so this experience was elevated by it and created such a romantic atmosphere.

Great meal at Taj. Onion bhajis, chicken biriyani and chicken korma with some naan bread. A little pricey, but well worth it. Service was good in a nice looking restaurant.

Always friendly welcome at Taj! I have been visiting this place for over 15 years and never been disappointed! The food is so full with flavor and there are so many dishes to choose from. The buffet is nice introduction to the Indian cuisine if you are not familiar with it. Highly recommend it!

good food but bad service. The last 2 times I went there they were closed. It was after 11:30 and on a day that they are supposed to be open,. I called and the manager told me the floor was wet and he will open in 30 minutes. That's ridiculous. You should adhere to the times that you have listed.

This place definitely has quality indian food. It is hard to find good Indian food in South Florida but this place really does it well. The chicken vindaloo was what I ordered. The sauce had the perfect amount of heat and was on point.

I ordered $47 worth of food today and was so disappointed. Absolutely awful. The Maatar Paneer was a brown sauce with a pound of onions and just terrible tasting. I ordered plain naan and received garlic naan with so much garlic you could not eat it. I ordered tandoori chicken but it had so much onions and no taste. When I called and asked for the manager they hung up in my face. Do not eat here!!!

Wow! Decided to take a break from our usual, Khana Khazana in Coral Springs, as their food has been a little inconsistent lately and I'm so glad we did. We ordered Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and a Chicken Bhuna! First time I've seen a Chicken Bhuna on the menu in Broward County. All the curries were fantastic. Nice easy spice level selection of Mild, Medium, Hot or Extra Hot and it was exactly as expected. No more, no less. Perfectly complimented each dish without being under or overwhelming. The taste of that Hot Chicken Bhuna took me back to growing up in the UK. It was my favorite curry back home and now it is my favorite curry here. I also sneaked a taste of the Medium Korma and it was perfect. Don't be put off by the description of it mentioning raisins, they are just a garnish on top which can be picked out easily. All the chicken tasted great too, no gristle or weird tasting bits. The Naan bread was another delicious surprise. Perfect thickness, not undercooked and out of 8 breads I think only one was a little black underneath. They were the best naans I've had in a long time. We also had a couple appetisers, one of which was the little potato balls in a chickpea chutney. I forget the name, but definitely get it, you won't be disappointed! All in all a fantastic takeout experience and will definitely be returning for our monthly Indian treat and look forward to dining in one night. A little pricier than some of their competitors but the quality of the food makes it well worth it. A note to the restaurant: Please do not change a thing!

The goat curry, chutneys, and raita, well, everything, is so good we have to include this place in our monthly routine. Lately, we get takeout, but we used to eat-in regularly.
