Even for a usually slow Thursday, it seemed that a restaurant as good as Umberto's should have been much busier...the ambience was very pleasantly old-school and so was our dinner. We started with a bowl of Lentil soup which was spot on, and also had a couple garlic rolls (yum!) We opted for the small meat lover's pizza,which was just the right size and featured plenty of great toppings. Even the crust was delicious! (maybe they use bottled water?) Our bartender, Jeff, was very attentive and made us feel like we'd been there many times before. All of the large screen TVs had sports on, too! This is one of those places that has what my mama used to call "old world values"...which, sadly, is becoming more and more of a rare find in today's South Florida...at least Umberto's still has it! We'll be back!

We accidentally ended up at New Umbertos several months ago... wow were we surprised at what we found. Bartender, Jeff, greeted us immediately with a smile on his face. We immediately felt welcome and at home. We have come back many times, always sit at the bar with Jeff. The food is amazing... really excellent. Highly recommend!!

We visited Umberto's the first time in May 2021. Since then we have become regulars. The pizza is excellent, the steamed clams delicious, the seabass flaky and served hot! Jeff is the best bartender in town. He always has a smile on his face (when not masked) and pours a mean cocktail. They decorate for holidays and that makes the experience even more fun. Have sat on the porch and listened to the pianist. Prices are fair and can't beat the happy hour. Maybe not the fastest place in town for food to be served but great atmosphere and drinks so we just chill and enjoy the moment.

It was our first time here and I must say it was an amazing experience. The pizza was the best I've ever had. I wish they would come to Montana ☺️ For the gentleman in the blue shirt who seated us, he was very polite and welcoming. Our waiter did a great job as well. I would definitely go there again!!

I loved this restaurant. Food was excellent. Pizza is NY pizza. They ship dough from there NY restaurant. Grandma pizza amazing. Was in SHOCK when I was told it was CLOSED. 12 noon you have sign lit that you are opened and you tell us we are closed. Thought maybe had an issue but went by that evening and still closed on a Saturday night Heartbroken

I live right down the street, order here every week and dine in as well. This is the third time I’ve ordered a HALF pepperoni pizza and get pepperoni on the entire pizza. Very upsetting especially when the order is repeated back to me correctly but when I go pick it up it’s wrong. “Oh sorry” is all I get back. Beyond ridiculous.

Maybe I was given the wrong pizza? The food was okay. It was my first time ordering here. I ordered a grandma's pizza. I didn't check before I left which is my own mistake but it says on the menu the gtandmas pizza comes square, with basil, garlic, olive oil, oregano, mozzarella cheese and sauce. I believe they forgot the garlic and oregano, and only 4 tiny pieces of fresh basil and the pizza was round not square. It wasn't bad, I guess I was just expecting it to be great. I'll try it 1 more time and then decide.

Had fettuccine Alfredo and a pizza. Both were absolutely amazing!!! I would eat here all the time if I were from around here instead of on vacation.

I have had pizza in Northampton mass & I have had fruit de mer pizza in nice France. Umbertos Pizza in Pompano is worth the drive from anywhere in south florida. We met our server Carter who’s a friendly & outgoing soul. Also they have a full bar. Phone order went well, average Pizza order w/wings. Pizza was ok. Ordered well done Hawaiian, not much flavor, but doygh was crispy. HOWEVER, wings only served with a super thick, yucky BBQ sauce & mayonnaise thick ranch. Wings were VERY DRIED, fried & tasted old. $20 for 10 small, dried wings is horrible, so unless it's different for in house, versus delivery, don't order wings. Delivery person was very pleasant & kind. Thank you. I hate giving bad or mediocre reviews, especially to small businesses, but that beachside price deserves better food. #NotaFLTourist

Sat at the bar and had drinks and dinner. The service was excellent. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. He knew the menu inside and out and made some good recommendations. Once we placed our orders, the food came out in no time. Everything was very good and hot. The only downside of eating at the bar is that it is very warm from the heat from the kitchen. Big thank you to Jeff, the bartender!

Salad was warm and came at the same time as the main course. Eggplant parm was mushy and not breaded. Bread tasted like it came from a supermarket. Chicken parm was good but the sauce was just average. Ordered a diet coke and was not told that they sell some off brand. Salad does not come with the entree and cost an extra $4.00. No choice of dressing. tip is added to the check even for a party of two but you are not told this in advance. Tip is based upon the check amount including the tax. There is an additional charge for using a credit card but you are not told this in advance.

It is definitely real authentic Italian food but the guy waiter was new (gold tooth). He forgot to bring out the bread and was not knowledgeable on the menu. Also they said no pizza as it was Easter and the kitchen was focused on their special,,,, but after we order we see a whole table get served with all kinds of pizza. The dish was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Best neighborhood style pizzeria we've found in the area since moving from NY almost 3 years ago. We moved and still drive 15 minutes away even for takeout. Pizzas great, so is the food (stuffed artichoke, baked clams and chicken Parm all phenomenal)!

Great atmosphere but service was a little frustrating. We spilled water and couldn’t get towels or napkins to clean up. We used our napkins that came with silverware which got 80% but then they brought us very small napkins as replacement and it was a challenge. Drinks and food were good but service could have been better.

Not “high end” Italian. Kind of a bit of an Italian dive restaurant actually. However…given the bartenders Jeff and Whitney and the neighborhood crowd and the rather average food/price? You’ll love this place. ❤️

I usually order pizza for take out and it’s always been amazing, especially the veggie it must weigh 5lbs!! On this night we decided to go inside. They were busier than norm so we didn’t have a meal but the wine and bruschetta was ok. No love in the bruschetta, I will stick to the veggie pizza !

we stopped in the other day for a quick bite! We shared the meatball parmigiana hero and a glass of wine. We sat at the bar and were were very pleased with the food and the bartender, Jeff! He made our day! We laughed so hard.

Awsome, I Made a mistake... i was excited when i saw Umberto's was back on the Uber Eats service, once the order was placed. About 30mins went by i was updated that my order was delayed & i would have to wait a bit longer. @ that point i tracked my order & realized that my pizza was coming down I75.. That's when i realized the Umberto's Near me is no longer Open?!?!! But i got my pizza it wasn't hot not even warm...

An honest 5 stars, we truly loved this place! 2nd time eating here, same as the first time, consistent. Food was fresh, tasted like the food in Italy, portions were generous and the pricing felt fair, overall good value. Our experiences were all of the staff and the owner’s made us feel welcome and appreciated! Best of all for me personally, no heartburn from the sauce’s PLUS I got a frosty mug for my beer! So yea 5 stars and our recommendation to give Umberto’s in Pompano a try, thanks!

We had a really fun time dancing to the live music / dj and the food was really good. The only thing that wasn't great was the Old Fashion as it had waaaay too much simple syrup and the sweetness was overwhelming

I absolutely loved it! It was my first time going, my husband and I have been wanting to go for awhile so we planned a night there with friends. I made a reservation for 10 and i was so surprised they were able to do it on a Saturday night last minute. When we got there, it was packed, great to see the business doing so well. We were seated over outside by the live music and what a positive fun vibe the whole walk to the table. People were clapping, dancing, singing along, laughing, great to see so much happiness. The smell of the food, the plates leaving the kichen onto the tables was spectacular! It did take a very long time to even get our drink order in, about 30 minutes, and to get the drinks was another 20, it was so crazy busy (that is the only reason I give it 4 stars because it would be 5 if not for the long wait.) The food came quick and to my amazement nice and hot and it all looked so good. The pizza looked and tasted so delicious, thin crust, crisp with the doughy center. The toppings were so fresh, the mussels so SCRUMPTIOUS!!! My ceaser salad soooo crisp, fresh, perfect dressing (not too thick, not watery) The chicken parm my friend had looked incredible too. My margarita was top notch, i will be back for a margarita and my muscles and ceaser very soon. The guy singing is quiet the star, he is so talented, so smily, going around to the tables and singing, getting people up to dance. He played and sang italian, spanish and english, so beautiful, the music and the performance. We danced and ate, all while watching everyone else around us dancing and singing, such a great atmosphere. Luisa our waitress was awesome under pressure, she was overwhelmed but never acted like it with us, she was very attentive. Great service and also the other staff that was there, like the gentleman that sat us and another guy that was with him were all very nice. The place is clean including the bathrooms in spite of how busy it was. Will be back very soon!

Last night I had a fabulous dinner at Umberto's. My husband and I love to sit at their cozy bar for dinner. Snapper Francese has always been one of my favorite meals and I ordered it at Umberto's for the first time last night. The portion was very large and it was prepared to perfection, as was the spinach sauteed in fresh garlic & olive oil. This combo is a meal I have ordered often in many restaurants and Umberto's is #1. Jeff, the bartender, took perfect care of us and it was a relaxing & wonderful evening, just what we needed on a Friday night after working all week. The owners, Luisa & Sergio, also stopped to chat with us. Bravissimo Umberto's!!!

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Very friendly staff, delicious pizza and pasta dishes. Not inexpensive, but worth the price.
