This is hard. Okay service amazingly friendly and awesome. So they get 5 stars.... but the food the cheese in the omelet was still cold not cooked all the way :( and coffee wise the latte was good but the Cortado was pretty far off. Too much milk and was basically a latte with no sugar. But again they were so nice I couldn't say anything I didn't want to. Too shy. They have decorated the place stunningly. Worth a look and maybe your experience will be good let me know.

I’ve been coming here for years and can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet! Modern Rose is always delicious and adorable. They’re constantly adding to their menu and decor so you’re always sure to find something new. It’s perfect for breakfast, a light lunch, or even a tea party. They can also host events like bridal showers and have an expanded seating area in the back that’s just as adorable as the front seating area. Their delicious menu includes an impressive assortment of teas plus espresso based coffee drinks and even boba. They also have pastries, toasts, and an ever-expanding menu of additional items. Service is great and this place’s atmosphere can’t be best!

Absolutely wonderful experience!!! This is the cutest brunch spot. It is family owned and they provide the best service, drinks and food. They are super friendly and welcoming, made the experience even more enjoyable. The place is visually pleasing, stylish. And the best part is the intricate drinks and delicious food selections!! My friend and I shared the avocado toast -some like it spicy and modern egg sandwich. It was fantastic! Great flavors and fresh bread! We also both ordered the almond joy lattes -iced, which were so soo good!! We will be coming back to this spot next time we are in Florida for sure!!!! 🤍🤍

I am usually motivated to leave bad reviews but this place did better than expected when my expectations were high already. The half toasts are very good taste and amazing. The strawberry french toast takes you right into a fairytale, definitely a must try IMO. A place I will not only recommend but remember!

I came to this place recently and absolutely fell in love with it. I will say, I came in hoping they’d have the mermaid latte and was told they didn’t have it. I then tried to order the banana chai latte and they didn’t have the tea for it; however, I was able to get the iced maple latte which was amazing. I was disappointed they didn’t have 2 of the drinks I was really wanting to try, but the maple latte did not disappoint and I will come back another time for the banana one. I also ordered the some like it spicy avocado toast. This is the best avocado toast I’ve ever had. The picture shows one of the slices (I’d eaten the second one). The total before tip was just shy of $20 for the latte and the food. A little pricy, but it’s worth it. The latte was a large size and the avocado toast was a large portion that filled me up. The atmosphere is nice, you can get some work done despite it being a bit crowded. I will definitely be returning here. It’s worth the half hour drive and pricing, in my opinion. Definitely give this place a try. There’s something on the menu you’ll like.

After hearing about this place for years from a friend, I was thrilled to finally get there myself. And I was not disappointed! I had the vegan bruschetta and lavender latte with oat milk, my friend had the avocado toast and mermaid latte. We sat on a comfy antique sofa loaded with throw pillows while we ate. They now have online ordering from a unique QR code right on your table, making it quick and simple if you wish to sit in the back room, rather than waiting at the counter (but in person ordering is still available). The staff was so friendly and efficient, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. A real hidden gem, absolutely worth the trip!

This place is amazing. I was a little underwhelmed by rhe drinks but Oh my God. The food is sooooo good. Although we only ate pastries all the food we saw being delivered looked delicious. The other patrons we spoke to said as much. Can't wait to eat here again. Also. The employees are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Please tip them big.

Hidden gem! I knew from the outside I was going to love this place and once inside I was even more impressed. I love the different seating areas and decorations. The menu is accommodating for different diets like vegan or gluten free and there are lots of options. I got the PB and J and a large mermaid latte. Don’t let the pictures deceive you, order the pb and j. It was amazing! The bread was lightly toasted and so the peanut butter and jam was the right temperature of warm the powdered sugar was a bonus. I enjoyed every bite! The mermaid latte was refreshing and had hints of coconut. What really impressed me was how kind and welcoming the people working were. Can’t wait to come back!

What a Gem! As my friend said, it's like hanging out in someone's home. I love all the vintage things in here makes you feel like you're home. There were a few things in here that took brought me right back to my childhood. The food was delish!!!! BUT the drinks Omg was like heaven in a glass. My friend ordered a cold coffee that tasted like a chocolate bar. I had the dirty latte. It almost didn't last I had to slow down & wait for my brunch. Highly recommend this place!!!!

My sister introduced me to the modern rose and I am completely obsessed! The dragon fruit tea is so refreshing and my go to! The some like it spicy avocado toast, the best I’ve ever had! I’d recommend this place to anyone. The decor is super cute and get here early on weekends because they’re also so busy. Love this place! Also just discovered they came out with juices…take my money 😂❤️

So many things I wanted to try. This was my first Boba Tea experience and it was a great one. I highly recommend this place. We picked it because of the reviews and it certainly lives up to expectations.

Incredible charming cafe on the Cove Shopping Center plaza in Dearfield Beach. The place is not big but has a vibrant atmosphere. The coffee shop’s design is unique and looks like an antique cafe somewhere in Europe. The coffee is great, that is not ’drive through ’ quality, although you can order to go. The tea variety is impressive. Different Avocado toasts and pastries will make a perfect breakfast. The Modern Rose is family run and you will feel it from the moment of entering the cafe. We definitely recommend this place and proud of a great example of local business.

This cute tea shop has the most friendly staff, delicious beverages and yummiest pastries. In my first visit I just took a bit of time to stand and look around because the decor is adorable. The staff are very awesome. My friend and I accidentally had each others pastries because it looked alike, and a worker there that overheard me not liking my friends muffin brought me the one I liked as a gift. They’re super sweet and this place is on my weekly list. P.S. They don’t use plastic straws and have so many vegan options!

Wonderful drinks and food! You must try the avocado toasts and the rose latte (I had it iced but you can get it hot). The employees were helpful and attentive. I wish I lived closer because the coffee was really good and I’d great quality. I can’t wait to return!

Wow just wow! This place is so delicious me and my husband came here almost everyday while we were on vacation. They have the best vegan options to regular delicious food options as well! Definitely recommend everything is fresh and homemade with love! It’s a small cafe with great big tastes! And the customer service is amazing! I ordered the strawberry matcha ice and my husband did the blueberry one!

This truly is an unique cafe. It was recommended to me and I am definitely not disappointed. The cafe interiors are very quirky and cute, they have added some Halloween decorations as well for Halloween month. They have both food and drinks. I just ordered walnut loaf, almond joy latte and raspberry tea. All were good! The staff is super nice and friendly as well. They have good amount of seating and free WiFi if you want to go work. I actually went in to work for few hours. I highly recommend this cafe! There is ample amount of free parking in the premises.

You’ll find amazing employees who feel more like old friends, delicious food and drinks that will have your mouth watering just thinking about it, and the most wonderful atmosphere to relax, connect or work. So grateful to have found this gem! Especially because they are so accommodating to different dietary restrictions. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.

Modern rose > everything!! This little Deerfield gem is absolutely PERFECT. From its delicious coffees & food, to its incredible staff, I cannot say enough good things about this place. As someone who is GF, they have quickly turned into one of my “safe eating” places, with a number of options for me to choose from. My go-to order is the modern avo toast with GF bread and vegan eggs and a vanilla latte with macadamia milk. The staff have quickly turned into familiar faces that are a pleasure to chat with throughout my multiple visits a week, and the atmosphere is perfect at any point of the day. 1000/10 would recommend!

I came to Modern Rose a few years back and was really looking forward to having their delectable treats and beverages once again. I finally stopped by a few days back and it's definitely as good as I remember it, if not better. From the decor/vibe to the stellar food selection, I absolutely adore everything about The Modern Rose. When it comes to their drink selection, I'd highly recommend the Iced Banana Chai Latte and the Iced Rose Cappuccino. As for the food, you really can't go wrong with any of the items on the menu, but I have to say that the Some Like It Spicy Avocado Toast, Better Than ...., And Kitchen Sink Sammie are particular highlights. I have to give a shout-out to the staff as well. They're definitely a bit understaffed and deal with so many orders with such efficiency, care, and quality that it's really impressive. Whenever you're in the area or simply craving an amazing breakfast, I'd highly recommend the Modern Rose. Looking forward to trying their new location in Fort Lauderdale soon.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! They really treat you like family and the decor/environment is charming and cozy! I love the spin they put on different drinks - Almond Joy is my favorite! They also have an amazing assortment of tea and vegan food. The empanadas are delicious! Highly recommend going here for a little break or drink on the go!

This cafe is one of the best cafes I have been to. The owner, Emilio, is a nice person. He and his staff were accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The food and service were great and reasonably priced. We loved the tea collection they had. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We are definitely going to visit again.

Modern Rose has great food and drinks. It can be a bit intimidating for a novice coffee or tea drinker as their menu isn't very extensive. While I was visiting family I made this my breakfast spot.

It's so rare to find a place that executes everything so perfectly, and to find that in a cafe is even more rare. From delicious food to excellent service, and of course the perfect cup of coffee, everything in The Modern Rose either meets or exceeds expectations of what we expect from a venture out on the town. Organic foods, soy free, and vegan options abound on the menu, there is something here for everyone. The coffee is expertly roasted and delicious, none of the burnt beans or watered flavors you expect from a cafe. The staff is run with passion, and you can see the comrraderie between every member. And the service from the manager, leading from the front and charging ahead, that shows in the quality of service. The Modern Rose goes beyond what I expect from any small business anywhere I've been in the world, and if I see their moniker again (which feels inevitable) I will feel compelled to visit and enjoy the experience again. 10/10

I don’t give many 5 ⭐️ but this place is a gem. Family owned and completely inviting to any foodie. This place has charm and a unique eccentric artwork. The place is clean, great service, and the food is phenomenal. If you live in the Deerfield Pompano LHP area you should be checking this place out in the cove plaza. They have in and outdoor seating. I got the avocado toast on two separate occasions and it’s been consistent. I’d definitely try again.

I can not say enough great things about this place. The ambiance is just darling, it looks and feels like love in there. Great energy from the owners and the employees. Always top of the line customer service and the quality of the food and drinks are just amazing... Numerous vegan options too which are all delicious! Even if you're not vegan I'd definitely recommend trying some of the vegan options there because they're literally just too good to not try. They even have vegan whipped cream for lattes :) The Modern Rose is the exact kind of café you'd want to find in any/every city. I want to point out the atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you feel like you just walked through a portal to a cafe in a little town in Europe. Of course it is not as authentic but in South Florida this place is a hidden gem. We went there on a Thanksgiving morning and unfortunately kitchen was closed but still we got our pastries. Latte was high quality and Belle, who works there, was so kind. We will go there again!

It’s my special treat to nourish myself while I’m working. ☕️I explore unique coffee shops wherever I travel and this one is on the top of my list. Everywhere you look there is something cute to see. Make sure to read your tea cup for inspiration. It’s a sweet family who owns it & their entire team makes you feel like family. 🏖️Definitely check it out when you are in Deerfield Beach. Afterwards take a walk on the beach and pier which is a few blocks away.

Splendid !!! The people who worked there were nice and fun ! We ordered two guava empanadas and a rose apple pastry that was SO YUMMY. The Coffee was elite and the seating and people there were all so wonderful. Will be back again.

*added pictures! Came yesterday for the very first time with my partner and we both loved it. I came back on my own today to read my book. The ambiance is amazing. I absolutely love all the decorations. It’s such a cute spot to come eat and have a coffee or tea or iced drink. Especially with how hot it’s been, my drink was refreshing. I got the avocado toast and he got the almond butter toast with the berries on top. Both were delicious. Today I got the avocado toast again. One of the slices were a little too crunchy. It was the smaller piece, but other than that it was good. For drinks I fell in love with the banana chai tea latte iced! Today’s had dried banana chips and I thought that touch was genius! And he had the hot caramel mocha and it was delicious. 5 stars all around. Great service, great ambience, delicious foods and drinks. Yum!

YOU NEED TO GO HERE! From the aesthetic to the awesome food, this is one of my favorite places in south Florida. They have vegan & gluten free options which is sooooo hard to find! Their menu continues to expand and food/beverages get better and better.

Excellent coffee! I'm done! Clean and good looking spot, large number of seats in front and back, quiet enough to work in. Parking on the street, which at times/days I am sure is YOUGH! Staff are friendly and on top of things.

Very nice atmosphere especially at night, great place to have a cuppa and chill. Coffee's are good as also pasteries. They have a great selection of cards and interesting gifts also. Sits on a nice corner in a great neighborhood. It is a place to see and be seen, lot of industry people dropping in on the way to studios... The chairs are not very comfortable though, so you can't hang too long.

I wish there were more around me! I drive all the way to Deerfield from Pompano for them! 💕

I really appreciate this place. Their owner is super cool and the fact that he also operates the place gives it that authentic touch of an owner/operator business. We loveeeeee the Modern Rose. The tea is amazing, the owners are super friendly and so is the staff. They have some sweet vintage finds. If you are looking for a cool place to work or hangout, this is it. They have vegan treats and even serve coffee now! Highly recommend. Feels safe during Covid with outdoor seating.

Seriously worth the drive. I drive 20 mintues just to come here and its TOTALLY worth it everytime. They have the best tea in town LIKE THE BEST! and the food is always so fresh and is just always so delicious. Staff and owners are so kind & treat you like family! Love this hidden Gem. Yesterday I googled local coffee shops and came across this gem. Needless to say I was NOT disappointed. The staff was warm and inviting and the owner was just as nice. I got a scone that was amazing and a latte that kept me on my toes as I work as a bartender at Buffalo Wild Wings. This will be my coffee spot and I encourage everyone to try this amazing place ! Plus the decor had my heart before I tried the coffee 😂

Fantastic little place! I'm so happy I found it. Their food is incredibly flavorful and delicious, and they have an awesome tea selection - which you can also purchase in loose-leaf form to take home and brew yourself. I had their modern egg sandwich and my mom had the avocado toast and both were so great and well worth the price. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful - the cherry on top of a genuinely great experience. Truly a hidden gem. 100% will be returning and I'll be bringing everyone I know with me!
