Dad ate one empanada and decided he didn't like them so he didn't eat the second. The rest of the food was ok. When server came back to ask how we liked the food, our effort to explain that we weren't happy with some of it wasn't part of the expected script. Eventually, an answer of "it's ok" got them to stop asking. Highlight, the sauce they brought for the empanadas was really delicious on the fish.

The taste is great, but BE AWARE if you order cordon Bleu they have toothpicks hidden inside them, I understand they need to keep them together but no need to be hidden inside. Nice little place. This was my first visit. The hostesses were very invested in my care and satisfaction, though we struggled with a little bit of a language barrier. They were very sweet. My food was good, I had the grilled salmon and some black beans (my combination). The restaurant itself is adequately furnished. The colors are bright and happy and yet warm. It is very clean. If you're looking for a nice home cooked meal, the is a good place. Prices are fair.

I used to love this place, but unfortunately I will no longer be going here. I ordered online the Pollo Tropical. Online it states it is 11.99 + tax, a total of $12.71. I get there because I used the option for pay in store, she attempted to charge me $16 and some change, I explained I ordered online, showed her the receipt and that the total was $12.71. Prior to the pandemic, I would eat here often and it was very good. Since the pandemic, food quality and taste is just not the same. I have ordered a couple times since the pandemic and I’ve had to throw out the food. Today I ordered Sancocho de Cola and I got two very large pieces of yuca and what looked like 1/2 of a plantain... too large and which seemed undercooked. The pieces should be smaller so it can cook through and be easier to eat. Broth was not as tasty as before. Cola had no taste either. I think they have a new cook. Just an overall disappointment lately and waste of money. As much as I wish to support our local small business... I give up on this one... and I won’t go back.

I recently ended up at Harris' for a surprise celebration of my birthday. I had never been to a real, classic San Francisco steakhouse, so I was very curious (and starving, as it happened!) The place certainly matched my expectations - a grand, formal building on Van Ness, with an elegant entry-way and a subdued dining room. The feel was that of an older, very prosperous crowd. The Maître d' was friendly and attentive, and seated us in a quieter room off the main dining area, away from the main bustle of the restaurant but still within earshot of the piano...!

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, and I'm glad I finally did! The service here is top notch, but I got to try some of their soups which made my day. I ordered a chimichanga and they don't put online that it has green peppers and onions inside of it and beans on top. I hate peppers so I couldn't eat the dish. I called to see what they could do and basically it is my problem. They don't have anyone that delivers, but I bet they have a lot of employees that drive to work, but you don't have delivery drivers? The lady I spoke to had no interest in helping me and said the dish is made the way it is made. Avoid this restaurant, the empanada was garbage as well. The chorizo was so so.
