I was very excited to go to this particular location. I am a huge fan of the restaurant and I was not surprised to see the consistency. I have my challenges with allergies and they were super considerate. Not only is the food quality outstanding but the service was too. Our server was a great man that was exquisitely trained. He didn't rush us along and it got very busy while we were there. He was doing a great job from when it was quiet to when it was super busy and taking care of us. Enjoy your dinner here.! You certainly will not be disappointed. If you have enjoyed my review, please give me a thumbs up 👍 and feel free to follow me for other future reviews. 😀

One of the best dining experiences of a long time. The food was great, the atmosphere pleasant and our server was the best. From start to finish he knew everything about the menu and each dish. What impressed us the most about him was that he remembered every order to perfection and never missed a beat. My grandkids were so impressed that they decided to tip him above and beyond our already generous tip. Certainly I will recommend this place to all of my friends and business partners worldwide.

Happy hour was lovely. The outdoor staff were all attentive and so happy to make our experience a good one. The cocktails were delicious and cold and tasty. Stephanie was our bar tender and she was fabulous. The sliders were flavorful and tasty. Plate seemed a bit skimpy. This outdoor seating is lovely. If you are looking for beautiful sight of the intercoastal and nice happy hour with a limited food menu, this is you place

We were lucky enough to get a table on the dock in the early evening hours. It started off with open umbrellas to keep the temperature more comfortable and as the night went on they closed the umbrellas so you could see the evening sky. The ambiance in that area of the restaurant was very quiet and romantic. The food was delicious, we both got drinks and a bacon cheeseburger. The key lime pie was very good as well. My husband and I enjoyed watching the boats go up and down the intracoastal while we enjoyed dinner. We'll definitely visit again when we're in South Florida!

Great experience and perfect date spot! We were able to get a nice seat right next to the window and watch the boats pass on the intercoastal and a dim light setting environment. Very romantic, upscale and relaxing. Drinks were good and for food I had the snapper with shrimp and wild rice and the ice cream brownie was incredible. My girlfriend and I will be back!

I must say, it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a wonderful ambiance and sophisticated design. The perfect view from our table was an added bonus. The food options were impressive, and we opted for the Salmon and Chicken, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. And to top it off, we had the espresso affogato for dessert, which was simply to die for. The service was impeccable, and our server was the perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. Overall, it was a delightful experience that exceeded all our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Five stars!

Mediocre Service, Lots of Flies & Overcooked Entree. We were excited to eat at the restaurant since it came highly recommended. We sat at a table near the water outside and after about seven minutes, our waiter, Fanner, came over and took our order for water preference, we asked for ice water and the ahi sashimi salad, he brought our waters, and as I was taking a sip, I noticed a lot of floating green herbs around the top, looked like chopped parsley. I brought it to his attention, and he sincerely apologized and brought us bottled water to make up for the inconvenience. The ahi hit the table in under 10 minutes and was delicious. When the ahi came, so did the flies. *Although they give you a fly fan, they were a constant disturbance throughout the rest of the meal. We ordered the Wicked mango cocktails that were supposed to have a bit of spiciness, but just seemed like a mix of mango nectar and tequila, very one dimensional. The calamari followed, it was a nice dish and a generous portion. When the entree arrived, the pork chops were way over cooked and very dry. Our waiter never came back to do a touchback and we couldn’t get anyone else’s attention. It was passing by so we ate half of it. I told him when he finally came back to the table about the issue and he said he would let the manager and kitchen know and brought the check. The place definitely has potential to be amazing but the service was lackluster from our first interaction with the host, and some of the staff seem to be clumsy, repeatedly, dropping their keys and phone while moving the umbrellas, etc… They need to tighten things up an whoever is on the grill needs to learn how to cook chops.

Very good food! The ribs were great tasting and a nice bone-meat ratio. I also had a the Mango cocktail and that too was very refreshing, slightly on the weak side in terms of alcohol. Tasted more like a juice over anything. Still good though, the salted caramel brownie was also very good and quite the balance to a very hearty meal. I liked this place for special occasions as it’s very pricey in a large group.

Food was amazing I’m not going to take that away and drinks were very well made. Our server could have been a little more attentive being that every time we needed him we literally had to waive him down but he and his colleagues seemed to do just fine constantly checking up on other tables. I booked our reservation informing them that we were celebrating our friend’s 20 year anniversary and they had no consideration when they asked us to leave our table because we had already went over the two and a half allowed time for sitting and they had other customers in need of seating, we asked could we then get the drink menu to order more drinks and we were told no because our time allowed had past. We spent over $500 and tipped well as she usually do. We were completely appalled by this type of behavior!

Sat outside to celebrate a friends work event. Was a nice time. The servers were extremely diligent and brought drinks and food quick. Overall we had a good time. The restaurant was large and had plenty of seating. We were able to sit outside by the couches. We had a large yacht pull up and block some of our view but that was also part of the experience! It is more on the expensive side but food was very tasty and delicious.

Fabulous service, and overall dining experience. The food was cooked to perfection and seasoned well while letting the fresh ingredients shine. Portions were just right, and the great wine selection made for a great evening. For dessert, their bread pudding was outstanding. Five stars all around from the atmosphere, the food, and the service.

I absolutely love this restaurant in Ft Lauderdale. We had the roasted chicken and Salmon. We also had the coconut shrimp OMG amazing. Even the tea selection was really good. The staff is really great. They have valet parking. They even had a few boats and yachts pulling up for dinner reservations. Indoor and outdoor dining

Reservations are highly recommended for outside sitting during the weekend. Excellent place to dock your boat and order without having to leave your seat. It's a decent menu and can be expensive for good but ordinary food. I do highly recommend the tuna tartare salad on a hot day and the salmon if you're hungry. They still have a long way to go with the cocktail menu and quality.

Beautiful view of the Intercoastal. Fancy decor, dimmed lights. Visited on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Valet parking. The food was excellent! My favorite was the calamari. We also tried the salmon dip, a flat bread, meatballs and the pork chops. Oh and the pecan brownie with ice cream was delish. All dishes were tasty and plated nicely, pricey but very good service and quality, as expected from an upper scale rest.

Enjoyed dinner here on our first night in town and Kaluz did not disappoint. We made a reservation but did not know the patio wasn’t reserved so we put our name in and grabbed a quick drink at the outside bar before we got our table. We had a nice view at sunset sitting along the Intercoastal. Being our first night in town, we were eager for some fresh seafood and started with the Calamari and Mussels. Both were delicious and portions were very large, enough for 4 people. Entrees we’re just as good and again, more than enough food. The patio was busy as it was full, but the server did a great job and covering our table. Great food and drinks and atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

It was missing something……oh yes, flavor. 🤦‍♂️ The coconut shrimp was decent. Drinks was good. Salmon dinner needed sauce and salt. Ribs were ok. Honestly the fries were the best thing. Ate everything there because there was no way I was taking anything home 😂. But please go and see yourself. Service was great though and the setting was very nice. Just sad that the food wasn’t equal to the service and setting.

Upscale and elegant, Kaluz offers not only delectable dishes, but also stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway. We totally enjoyed the Cedar Plank Salmon and the Crabmeat salad loaded with fresh avocado and mango. We ended our dinner with the “Going Bananas” dessert, which you can see in the photo. Need I say more!?! Fantastic! This modern, clean, spacious restaurant has plenty of seating indoors and outside, can accommodate boats, and has friendly valet parking. From the hostess who seated us deck side, to Emily our server, we were taken care of with smiles and efficiency. As a local, I appreciate having Kaluz on our list of favorites for it’s outstanding cuisine, excellent service and breathtaking views.

The food is a bit pricey, but for a good reason. The waiters were amazing and very kind. It's right by the ocean so you'll see boats either passing by or docking by the restaurant with meal reservations. There is also free valet parking. I would definitely visit this restaurant again!

Best part is the location and the ambiance. Loved sitting outside on the water. Tuna tartare was good but a little light on tuna and heavy on avocado and somewhat dry. A puddle or drizzle of ponzu would have been nice. Stone crabs were delicious 😋

*** ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING *** This was my first time at Kaluz restaurant and boy was I impressed. The ambiance and decor here is next level. The staff were courteous and friendly. My server was professional, knowledgeable, and took care of our party well. The food is mouth-watering. The fish was fresh and delicious, and the side dishes were just as good. This place is a must if you're in the area. The parking is complimentary. Highly Recommended. 5-stars!

This place is first come first serve also no reservations but you can go outside and sit and wait for your table and you’ll have a wonderful time out on the patio bar or the couches that are there. The food is awesome. When you walk up, you’ll smell the oven cooking that wood recommend anything on the grill you won’t be disappointed even if it’s just a hamburger they’re off the chain they better be for 20 bucks but they’re worth it. You won’t be disappointed with the atmosphere and the service here if they get busy sometimes the service is a little slow but all in all what a great place to go. They do have three other locations but their best location is this one on commercial and the intercoastal you get to see the beautiful boats and you get a nice breeze when you’re sitting outside.

We love Kaluz Plantation. We’re so excited to have a Kaluz close by. Everything has been excellent every single time. Love that! The crab cakes on the special menu should be a permanent item on their menu. It’s delish! I’ve ordered them the last three times we’ve been there. The octopus is superb! We get the sauce on the side because it’s spicy. The shrimp cargos Yummm! Coconut shrimp yummm, calamari and the shrimp and goat cheese flat bread oh my very yummm. Their fish specials are superb. Service has been hit or miss. Sometimes amazing and some times not so amazing. Food is always on point though.

Consistently good food, which is hard to come by in south Florida. Must try meals are: the pork chops, the meatballs, and the key lime pie (of course). They have the best key lime pie in south Florida - they use nuts in the crust and it’s out of this world.

Very nice upscale restaurant 👌 valet parking available . seems very busy and lots of birthday celebrations 🍾 the only thing that I didn't like was the area where I was seating it was too dark ..had to use my phone to see my food and read the menu ..I guess you have to be specific when making reservations to ask questions. Food was delicious. I had ordered the tuna Tatare, was a little skeptical with the taste and how my stomach would feel 😋 but it was light and amazing 👏 atmosphere really great! I enjoyed myself. And I had the wicked mango 🥭 🍸 cocktail had some pepper 🌶 taste ..be careful if you have high blood pressure. That drink is not for you!

Valet parking. A small wait to sit by the dockside but waited in the nice lounging area where we enjoyed happy hour drinks . Great ambiance and view of the Intracoastal, The dishes were delicious. First, we had the salmon dip. I had the snapper with dirty rice and mango salsa while my cousin had the sea bass with parmesan mashed potatoes . Then finish with key lime pie. Prices were average to pricey .

This is one of my favorite restaurants to dine at! The food is delicious, and the service has always been very attentive and welcoming. We had the steak meatballs and margerita Flatbread as appetizers. Entrees were the Ribeye Steak and the Filet Mignon. For dessert, we had the bread pudding, which was amazing as well!

A Waterfront Delight: Unforgettable Wines and Delectable Bites at Kaluz! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kaluz in Pompano Beach for a delightful evening of wine tasting and appetizers. Even without a reservation, the friendly hosts graciously seated us in the beautiful outdoor area, which offers a stunning waterfront view. What truly sets Kaluz apart is their unique feature: if you happen to arrive by boat, you can conveniently park it in the designated area, and the restaurant's attentive waitstaff will take your order directly on board. It's an experience that truly enhances the overall ambiance. Kaluz boasts an impressive selection of wines, catering to diverse palates. Coupled with their excellent cuisine, it's a haven for food and wine enthusiasts. While the prices lean towards the higher side, it's understandable given the exclusive location and the added luxury of dining and imbibing right on the water. The restaurant itself is spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a well-stocked bar. One dish that particularly stood out for me was the shrimp escargot—an absolute delight for the taste buds! Overall, my experience at Kaluz was superb, and I will definitely be returning. If you're seeking a memorable waterfront dining experience in Pompano Beach, with an impressive wine selection and delectable bites, Kaluz is the place to be.

Lovely venue and great food. Visited for a friend's birthday. There are outdoor, waterfront view dining options but we opted for inside. Ordered the pomegranate martini, crab cakes and a dinner special. Sea bass is tender and savory. I will definitely visit again for dinner.

The Maple Duck was unfortunately not the most savory dish on the plate noe in my option a option that should be considered. The shrimp appetizer however was amazing and the broccoli 🥦 was fresh. The old fashion tequila was also a let down. Too sweet and not enough alcohol or just way to much ice. A few improvements could stand to make the dining experience grand. The best of the best things was just the waiters. Mike was a Master. 👍👌👍

Great place and great food! Love watching the yachts go by while enjoying their fabulous food. The bartenders are wonderful. They have a great Happy Hour! Everything on the menu is great. Try the Prime Rib Sliders. Always meet wonderful and interesting people at the bar. One of Fort Lauderdale's finest Waterfront Restaurants.

This place was awesome, from the atmosphere, the outside we loved it. I took my husband there for his birthday and loved it and my husband is very particular about his food especially steak. His steak was well done and juicy, not dry. Our server Joan really know her stuff, my husband ask her about the wine and she was able to answer. To my surprise my husband actually loved the wine she recommended and he enjoyed it! Overall the place was awesome!!! My food was really good but it was really about my husband yesterday. Thank you Kaluz Fort Lauderdale

Went here tonight with a party of six. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. We had ribs, ribeye, salmon, chicken, and several appetizers. Everything was pretty good, service was very good at the beginning, seem to taper off just a little bit towards the end. Nothing crazy, but definitely some water glasses that could have been filled a little bit more often. Parking can get a little nuts when it's busy.

My Boss mentioned that place to check out and let me tell you .... it was greattt! Food was tasty, I had the veggie burger even that was mouth watering . I took my precious time to finish that sweet potatoes the salt and the crispiness to it was a plus. You definitely can't box that to go won't be same any more. the food portion are not small. I left the place feeling so full to the point I wanted to pop open my pants button. I'll visit again and again to try all there meals. And don't get me started with the dessert, that white sauce in the banana bread had some good quality white chocolate . I Tasted rum in it too. I had them to give me more of that white sauce to go. The server name Michael was sweet, amazing, genuine and helpfully. He served us well.

I was a long time customer of this restaurant, visiting a few times per week with my gf. Last time I asked to seat us on the booths, all of them Was available. Time is 4:30, everybody on the bar only. The host told us a few times that booths available for party of 4-5 people but not for two. Question to general manager - is it a crucial point for you? To have 5 available booths and not allow romantic couple to sit close to each other? If yes - You just got one star and lost another valued customer.

Great place for dinner. Restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out. Staff were very nice. Our server, John, was very fast and efficient. The views from the tables are gorgeous of the intracoastal. Happy hour is only at the bar inside and outside by the bar and lounge. Great deals on happy hour drinks and appetizers. The chicken sandwich was delicious, and their fries are very tasty. Highly recommend.
