Absolutely my favourite spot in Ft. Lauderdale. Public Beach Portal, Public Parking, located at the south end of the Galt Ocean Mile. L ' Hermitage residents use the beach, tourists from nearby hotels, the workers, the homeless. Conveniently located, easily accessible, close to every kind of shop and store. This is " The Place " to go and see the sunrise ; . . .

Beach access to an area that is away from the larger beach crowds. Plenty of commerce in the area as well if you care to explore off the beach.

There are far more beach access points than this on this lovely beach. At least this one was posted. As with all remote access points, vagrants are to be expected

I used to love this beach. There was a time when it was only $1/hr to park and there weren't many people there at all. Now its super crowded every day and its around $4/hr to park. Also there is no public restroom.

Great beach with parking near A1A . Park there and gear up for a short walk to the shore for a good scuba dive on a beautiful reef.

According to the local police, this is a private property and not open 24 hours to the public
