There is nothing else like it! I took my mom who is from out of town. We spent about 45 minutes in the lodge alone. It is spectacular. All of the natural elements, the wood, rock, expanses of glass that make you feel like you are still in the outdoors, it lifts my soul. We walked through the playgrounds and the vast variety, that also serve as art pieces, are simply awe inspiring and such a treat for the imagination of a child. We made it as far as the boat house and the quirky museum inside. We spent quite a bit of time in that small space. There is so much to look at. If you look long enough you will find another oddity or something that reminds you of your childhood. We only made it through a fraction of the park in the few hours we were there. We will have to return for more exploring.

Wow! Super nice park for you & your family! It’s hard to know where to begin, it’s better if you just go see for yourself! The thought that had to go into this place is beyond anything I can fathom. So much intricate detail to so many things. Basketball courts, bike parks, museum, kayaks, dining, & so much more to do here in a very nice setup. You will not be disappointed. They have good parking available that will get you close.

This is the most awesome public park I've ever encountered anywhere. The playground items are beyond cool. All are very original and superbly done. My two grandsons, ages 8 and 3, loved each and every thing there. They climbed, crawled on and swung to their hearts content. Three hours flew by for them and us. Food and ice cream is available at pretty reasonable prices for that type of place also. It's enjoyable for adults just to walk through and see everything but kids, wow, it is almost more than they can take in. Check it out if you're in the Tulsa area. You'll enjoy it more than you think you will, guaranteed.

One of the most relaxing and funnest things to do in Tulsa. Well maintained and one of the nicest places to see in Tulsa. Highly recommend for kids and adults. They have walking trails, ponds that you can feed fish. There's kayak and paddle boat rentals, and tons of playgrounds with a zip line for kids. My kids loved it!

The most amazing park!!! If only I was younger ...or maybe just shorter πŸ€” There really aren't enough good things you can say about this place- it's beautiful and really huge with walking trails and playgrounds as far as the eye can see. It's really easy and comfortable to spend several hours here. The cafes and clean restrooms make it very easy to enjoy outdoor fun.

A wooden playground Paradise with Magnificent bathrooms Gathering places that series a fun playground areas made out of wood and metal it’s interesting and unique for kids of all ages. From the zip line to the multi story castle you can spend hours at this place and keep even the youngest kids attention. And did I miss in the bathrooms? Right in the center there’s a huge section of family bathrooms that are clean! They are literally the cleanest public bathrooms you will ever find at a park. In fact the staff that keeps this Park immaculate was doing a great job even when the temperatures for over 100Β°. If you live in Tulsa or are just passing through the Gathering Place is the place for you

Very nice place. Everyone I talked to agreed with that. Lots of kids there. You can easily spend a whole day there. The playgrounds are amazing. Even the boats are free! Very well managed and organized. Since it's relatively new, not sure if this place can continue to be great once initial funding/grants run out.

This park is very impressive. There are numerous playgrounds for all different age ranges within the park. Maybe a dozen or so. The architecture of the playgrounds and the buildings are all very obviously custom made and artistically interesting to look at. This is not your average park. $465 million went into this park and it shows. No detail, however small, was overlooked. The museum was very cool and well designed. It sounds crazy and cliche, but words don't do this place justice. You have to see it to understand how amazing it is. All ages will enjoy this, kids and adults alike. Definitely worth seeing if you're in the area and have a couple hours to kill.

If if you in Oklahoma, and specially the city of Tulsa for either a quick visit or a long period visit, you’ve got to stop at this beautiful and iconic place. The gathering place has everything a family with the kids needs for their daily activity to enjoy lots of fun Things and taste some good food from the cafeterias. The whole entry to the park is free with lots of activities for grown-ups and kids to enjoy. All of their facilities are clean and they maintain a very secure environment for everyone.

This place is amazing! Best park I have ever seen! I wish all cities had a park like this. What more could you want?! It has paddle boats/kayaks seasonally, many parks with various themes, large walking trails, picnic areas, cafes, cutesy decor throughout, and expansive grass spaces. If you want some time outside, come here; you won’t regret it. It’s a beautiful outing no matter if you’re looking to relax, exercise, or even celebrate a special event!

The Gathering Place is mesmerizing. Every visit I find a new structure to marvel at. Even though there's always people around, it doesn't feel like it. You feel surrounded by nature. I love sitting on the decks overlooking the water and the koi fish, or reading while the sunbeams shine through the windows in the lodge. It's truly a must visit in Tulsa. Caught these photos during golden hour! Didn't even have to retouch them

One of the best community parks I've ever experienced! Fantastic, playgrounds where children can really use their imagination while getting physical exercise. I love the open layouts; that are large enough for adults to play right alongside the children. The only downfall is most areas are not appropriate for younger kids. Our 3 year old Toddler had a difficult time climbing the ladders. The play areas are probably best suited for 4-12 yr. old children. Overall our Family had a wonderful afternoon!

Had to visit USA Today’s best city park for 2021 and understood why. Immaculate, huge shade trees, great landscaping and water features, so many incredible places for kids to play, etc. Even when crowded, you wouldn’t feel it. And did I say this is all free? The staff were so nice as they politely told us out of towners that dogs were only welcome on Wednesdays - so we went over to the very nice Midland Valley Trail and walked for miles through town - too hot to go along the riverfront.

Fantastic place! I don’t even have any kids and I had a blast. You can get your steps in, grab a snack, drinks, sit in AC, play in the water, kayak, have a picnic, feed the fish and climb some obstacles. I mean this place is an absolute blast. Such amazing plants and trees. Plenty of restrooms. Lots of treats throughout and so much to do. Lots of shady areas and places to stop and sit. You could spend all day here!

Amazing place! I will move to Tulsa just for this park, and the walk close to the river.... it is gorgeous. Other cities should take notes and follow the example of this park, it is clean, have security making rounds, give so many different options. Even adults can play with their kids. Recommended 100%

I love this park. There's numerous playground areas for all ages including this 40YO mama. πŸ˜‚ My kids love playing in the sandy play areas. Remember to bring spare clothes, snacks, water, mosquito repellent, and have fun for endless hours!

Today was the perfect weather to go to the Gathering Place. They currently have their boats out to rent and paddle around the pond! The architecture is so stunning! We love going to play on the playgrounds and walk the trails. There are lots of water fountains and benches for when you get tired or need some water. There are multiple playgrounds for different recommend age groups, so there is something for the whole family to enjoy! There is a cafe with food options as well as beverages for adults. The ice cream in the parlor is delicious and creamy! There are bathrooms located in all buildings and around the main playground area. I highly recommend going here as a family, by yourself, with friends, even a date night would be nice here!

A beautiful public building featuring gorgeous views of Gathering Place with many places to sit, meet, visit, play games and even grab a bite to eat. I have never experienced a space such as this. It is definitely a community builder, bringing people together in common.

Wow what an incredible, free, playground/park. Easily the best I've ever seen! There are different age appropriate sections for children. I especially appreciate how the sections for the small kids were blocked off to minimize traffic running through. There is also counter serve, patio seating only, burger/etc joint where you can order food through your phone while you're at the playgrounds. One word of caution, and I would have liked to have seen some warning signs about this, the big tall climbing towers are interconnected by bridges where you children can climb between (safely mind you) but they can then exit the structure far enough away from the original entrance where they can be out of sight. Therefore, this is not a place where it is easy for one adult to keep eyes on multiple kids.

Gathering Place offered many walking paths and several playgrounds for children. There is a large seating area with plenty of tables and seats. While there, a little food cafe was offering standard items to eat/drink. Additionally a large, air conditioned building is available one can also sit in and cool off in.

We absolutely loved this place. We had a wonderful time. So much to see and do here. We mainly stayed on playground and was there for 2 hours and could of stayed longer. Some pro tips: there is parking much closer to playground. We wish we would have known this. We parked pretty far away. It gets hot really quickly in summer. By 11 we were all really hot.

I came here with my Dad and my Great Uncle, it is such a beautiful place to walk to and hang out at for an afternoon, or a whole day. There is a cafΓ© that serves Ice Cream, and there is a study quiet space above it. It is for all age groups there is a huge park that has multiple sections for little children, and for kids 11 and under and may be for some teen place. Full of trees and flowers, and has a river around for biking, and bringing your dogs, and just to take a quick stroll. Genuinely made me happy to walk around in a place like this and see how innovate the city was with making a part like this. Best of all! It is completely free, please check it out when you have the time to do so.

A part of one of the worlds best 0ublic parks and a beautiful attraction all in itself. The Lodge is a great place to relax, use the Wi-Fi, enjoy the views, grab a bite to eat or have some coffee. Also, the best ice cream on the planet is at the Redbud Cafe on the lower level.

Really Really Quiet like a Library. Walking across the wood floor in my boots alone made me feel like i was making too much noise. Beautiful views and peaceful.

Beautiful inside, wasn't too crowded which I am sure is due to COVID. Masks are required in the building. I did not look around the whole place but downstairs there must be food because many people came from downstairs with ice cream. It was a pleasant experience and study area. Just beware THERE ARE NO PLUGS so if you laptop is low on battery this is not the place to study. Other than that very peaceful and calming atmosphere

This place is so cool, and the cafes, while pricey, were pleasantly delicious! If you think there's no parking, just keep following the road. There's more parking than it looks like. The equipment was in good working order. There were people to hand out wristbands so if you got separated from your kid, they'd have your phone number. It was absolutely delightful and the best part of being in Tulsa.

This place is beautiful! And Big so maybe look up what part of the park you want to go to before going. We just parked and then it took forever to find one of the kids parks but we loved it once we found it. Where we came from we saw zero maps so we were just happy to stumble upon it. At the playground it has nice clean family bathrooms!

October 2023 - This is such an amazing park. Really stunning in terms of architecture and the all natural materials used. The people in this region of Oklahoma who live nearby should utilize it all the time. Visiting friends and relatives should also always make a point of returning. Looking at the people sitting by an outdoor water display, at a table by a pond, with children enjoying the adventure playground, or inside the main Williams Lodge by a waiting fireplace for cooler temps, or doing homework on a laptop in a room to themselves, I could tell these were regulars who made it a point to enjoy their particular space often. Artistic, modern, rustic, at one with nature it's a remarkable place. The Gathering is described as Tulsa's Riverside Park since it runs along the Arkansas River. Half of the 66.5 acre park is squared off for sporting activities from sports courts to skate parks and BMX tracks and their Discovery Lab, while closer to the main lodge, there is a boathouse for those who want to go out on the water in a kayak or on a pedal boat. There is an overlook here and vista space for events. State of the art playground for kids that goes way beyond what people perceive as standard recreational equipment with its unique designs and clever concepts. Picnic lawns, gardens, forests and even a beach are all here in their own private settings. Food is available. One sit-down eatery (closed during our visit) and one convenience store type room with drinks, (including a small selection of beer and wine), sandwiches, popcorn, locally made fresh ice cream with dozens of flavors and destination merchandise. The main lodge which also has the welcome center is a stunning example of wood craftsmanship from its walls to ceilings and furniture, floor to ceiling windows with views of the park and more than one fireplace for both warmth and beauty.

I wish there was an option for 10 stars..Gathering Place is absolutely amazing. I can't even begin to explain how much fun we had. Our smiles never left our faces from the time we walked in. We spent a couple hours there on Saturday and several hours there on Sunday before we headed back to missouri. This park is an absolute must see, must visit, must take the time to stop if you're just passing thru Tulsa. And to top it all off it's absolutely free to enjoy. There are a couple places to get a bite to eat, we didn't try any of the food, but I'm sure it's great too. I can see many many more visits for us in the future.

The Gathering Place in Tulsa off of Riverside Drive is a remarkable oasis of beauty and natural charm. It’s a wonderful place for kids in particular to play. For the the adults it has plenty of relaxing indoor and outdoor chairs and tables. Adults and kids can sit back, relax and talk about various things of the world and enjoy a remarkable scenery in the middle of a metropolitan area. The Gathering Place reminds me of a park, botanical garden and a nature trail all in a very complimentary and controlled environment. Kids safety and enjoyment is paramount in every place you look. Besides, it’s free and yet worth spending an entire day there. If you happen to find yourself with a group of kids and don’t know what to do, feel free to come out of this place and let them run and play them selves into exhaustion.

Spent the day with my grandchildren here. Absolutely amazing. Beautiful landscaping, peaceful areas for adults away from the playscapes, and many clean restrooms. The children will never tire of the fun things to do. There is also a wonderful coffeehouse that serves good food and yummy ice cream. Make time for this place. You will love every minute.

Love this park and take my kids here as often as I can! The trails are beautiful, the playgrounds are whimsical and timeless, and there are so places to explore. I’ve been here for holidays, birthdays, and even came here for professional photo shoots. Such a blessing to have this in Tulsa!

This is an amazing free park in Tulsa. Great for a walk and obviously the best place to take kids - numerous playgrounds and attractions for kids. I have really enjoyed spending some time in their serene lodge made of glass and wood with some really cool design furniture pieces. Highly recommend to add it to your Tulsa itinerary, if you are visiting.

Stopped by here while the kids were at youth group just to check it out for a future date, and I didn't want to leave!! Hands down the coolest park I've seen in my experiences, and it caters to all ages and activity levels. Castles with towers and rope bridges, huge and clever water features, trails, eateries, and even canoes and paddle boats to cruise the little river/pond filled with beautiful koi fish. I think I might be more excited to go back than my kids are, hahaha. Really recommend this park for a play date, a date date, or just to get some steps in and catch some awesome sceneries. UPDATE!! We went today!!! I brought the kids with Grammy and Papa. The kids' minds were blown. They said it was more like an amusement park than an actual park. Even Grammy and Papa went on some of the bigger structures. Everybody had an awesome time. We stayed for about 4 hours. We got wet, cooled down in two of the 3 buildings we saw (plenty of seating in each building), and checked out the cool art and curiosities that they offer there. This is a new favorite for our family, and it's all free! Aside from the concessions, of course. Will be coming again on a cooler day and having a picnic with the family for sure

A wonderful park , playground and hiking , with amazing views and trees and indoor places to sit or walk or work and enjoy . You can walk or have a picnic or read or meet friends. . What is amazing is that while it is funded by the city and donors , it ks free to enjoy for the public . The place is amazingly clean and tidy and extremely well kept . A must see and visit in Tulsa !

There is something for everyone here! Inside the main building is a large, welcoming area to hangout. I have breastfed there comfortably before. There are safe play areas for crawlers and all ages up from there. Many walking trails. Very nature centered. It is a very big park!
