Would have made for an amazing vacation if it wasn't for the fact that the restaurant is practically closed from breakfast until dinner. Not to mention it is also closed for dinner on Mondays. What are guests expected to eat or drink after breakfast? Forget about the idea of going to relax at this place without going anywhere else. What if you want a cocktail while you are swimming in their pool? Forget it. What if you want a snack before dinner? Nope. What's the point of a resort if they dont provide food for guests on a regular basis? Yeah unless you have a car and want to eat someplace else, each time you get hungry, this is not the place for you. Sorry but we were planning a 3-day relaxing holiday but when the receptionist said their restaurant was closed I thought she was joking. We immediately cancelled and went to a real resort.

The best place ever. To have a relaxing holiday you definately go to Lari.

This hotel has been under new management for 3 months at the writing of this trip. They are trying to elevate the standards of the former hotel and brand it under new management. That being said, the staff and management are amazing and they definitely go beyond the call of duty to make your stay a memorable one. We went to see the Andrea Bocelli concert which finished at 11pm, we got back to the hotel at 1:30am and the hotel had organised a late dinner for everyone who had been to the concert. AMAZING!!!!! We booked the rooms near the pool and they are bigger than most hotels with 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, walk- in closets a bathroom big enough for two people and the beds are HUGE. We had a few dinners overlooking the valley. The menu is mainly Italian type cuisine, well prepared and large portions. The restaurant staff is amazing, friendly and very attentive. There are amazing places to see around the hotel and they will even organise a vespa tour to the wine farms for those daring lovely people that you are or also trips to some of the towns. Anything you want that is possible. Overall a really nice stay and one which everything went right.

This place is magical! The rooms overlooking the mountainside have a dream view. I think they are still figuring a few kinks out as it is under new ownership. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and really cared about service.

The place is amazing, very Cousy. The staff was so nice with us, always peaceful and very smiley. We had a great time. The room had a wonderful view and super spacious. Definitely recommended :)

My partner and I recently stayed at Il Castello San Ruffino and had the best week. Laura and the team are incredible and helped me arrange my proposal. The hotel is fantastic, with a great pool, great service of staff, and the resturant serves excellent food. Couldn't recommend more. Will definitely be coming back! Mike

A beautiful hotel with great service, a nice pool area and wonderful views. Also there’s a pool table, which was a fun surprise. Decent breakfast but the food at the accompanying bistro was rather disappointing. But it’s not part of the hotel so doesn’t go into the review.

We had a wonderful time on our stay, it was perfect for a couples weekend in beautiful surroundings. We would absolutely recommend this place but note that a car is necessary.

Went for dinner and the food was nice but highly priced. The service was sad and lacked a smile. The view was lovely 😍

The place should be nice but the service is terrible. The employees act like they are not in service and speak down to you when asking questions especially if outside “normal” hours, ie: after 8PM

Can’t recommend it more. The staff was really accommodating and friendly even our dog was welcomed with a small goodie bag. The surroundings are beautiful and they’ll help you find the best activities. Thank you for the great time!
