Great homey Korean food! It's in a little rundown strip mall, but everything tastes authentic. The spicy pork bulgogi with kimchi was well-marinated and actually spicy. Banchan were great. Prices are reasonable. Service was friendly and food came out fast. I'll definitely come back to try more dishes.

I've been here a few times and tried several dishes and every one has been delicious. You also get a huge variety of sides that are different each time! Definitely one of the best Korean restaurants I have ever been to.

We’ve wanted to try this place out for over a year, and after eating here I regret that it took so long for us to try it. The food was prepared very well with each dish offering its own taste. I tried the spicy pork bulgogi and it had an excellent flavor - it was spicy but not overwhelmingly so. There is limited seating, so plan to wait if you come when they’re busy. And although the vibe and ambiance is laid back, it was very clean.

One of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever been to!!!! Amazing broth + seafood variety in the seafood soup & the bibimbap had incredible flavors. Great sides of fish strips, kimchi, garlic as well. I would say that the rice in the bibimbap and noodles in the soup did make up 80% of the dish. Some people may not care but when you’re paying $13-17 a dish I don’t want to pay mainly for a basic starch.

My first time trying Korean food. The food was incredible and there was so much to try. For a non spicy dish try the Beef Bulgogi. It was amazing. The ribs were incredible too.

We called ahead and asked if they had vegan options. They were very accommodating but when we got here it didn’t seem like our waitress really knew what was vegan or not. The food came out very fast and was extremely delicious. There was not one thing we didn’t like. It was really fun getting to try all the side items as well. The whole restaurant, including the bathrooms, were very clean. We are excited to come again!

This is the real deal! The food is authentic, always very fresh and tasty every time my family visits. Ms. Kim is always so friendly and attentive to the guests, the staff is also friendly and always make the dining experience comfortable and enjoyable! Hands down Gangnam is the best Korean restaurant in Jax… Can’t wait to go back!

The part of town the restaurant is in had us questioning if we should go inside but when we got our food we understood why others like this place. Your order comes with side dishes, it was fun getting to try all the different sides. It’s authentic Korean food and the way the table is set with the green tea, soup, and side dishes made us feel as if we were having a meal in Korea. The place is overall small and dark lit. I think if they get new tables, install brighter lights and make some renovations the experience would be even better.

The best Korean Fried chicken in the Jacksonville area(sorry bonchon) We had the delight of trying this hyper crispy, masterfully seasoned chicken. You can get. them as drumsticks or strips. Kids preferred strips, so there we go. I went for the Bibimbap which was all that. Wife had the angelic Tofu soup still bubbling as it arrives. The free appetizers, muchies, service and Soju made for royal dining experience. Great way to unwind from a long week of work with a great meal. Lovely owne, family and grandma! And the best wait staff a customer could ask for. Nice, casual, non pretentious.

Needed a mood booster. To me it meant Korean soup today. I've been here before and my experience was average but since it changed ownership, I wanted to check it out again. The mom of the store is so adorable and attentive. I came in at an odd time (3pm) so I was the only one there. I could tell the staff was eager to provide excellent service and making sure I was satisfied at all times. They did come to check on me multiple times but I think it was more out of care than hovering because I was there alone. When they weren't, they were cleaning meticulously. One of the waiters made me a cocktail, I believe was Soju Milkis and Peach. She stayed to make sure I liked it. It energized me right up. There was 9 Banchan (My faves were the nuts and anchovies and of course the nappa kimchi) each were good, I thought the cucumber kimchi could use a little more spiciness but still good. Tuna Kimbap was fantastic. I loved it so much I had one to go. The soup is Galbi Tang. It was a flavor bomb and hit my soul 🤌🤌🤌 It was pimping hot and came in with a decent amount of meat and noodles. There is more to Korean food than KBBQ, they have some options here (I haven't tried under this new management yet) but don't be scared to venture out and try dishes or ask for recommendations. I'll definitely be back (+ the Korean store is right next door)

With work cancelled due to Hurricane Nicole it was definitely a soup day. I haven’t eaten at Gangnam in Jacksonville since 2018, and I’ll say, it’s improved. My staple go-to dish at any Korean joint is always a boiling pot of soondooboo jjigae. Beautifully soft silken tofu in a spicy broth. This variation included seafood. I also ordered a Korean steamed egg which was pretty good. This jjigae hit the spot. And in authentic Korean fashion, they had celebrity photos at the front entrance. UFC’s Jung Chan-sung (aka Korean Zombie) ate here, so you must too! Haha. Than banchan (side dishes) were nothing to write home about, but it is 2022 and with the cost of food, I don’t blame them for serving cheaper banchan. Overall, it’s the best Korean food in Jacksonville.

Good home style Korean food . Located next to New World Market grocery store. Good bunchan dishes.

The dumplings were good. The only thing is that one of them had no meat in it 😂. It was the one in the picture on the bottom lol. I have to say my rating is low because of the Galbi. The ribs were not sweet and savory as expected. They had a lot of fat on them and for some reason there was an off after taste. The picture makes them look brown but for some reason they were like a pink color. We left leaving half of the meat which for 28$ for that dish is not okay.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this restaurant. I found the flavors to be pretty bland. The Bulgogi beef was fatty and did not have much of a marinated flavor. All of the sides had the same kimchi flavor.

This has been on my radar for a while and we finally made it here. We had an early dinner here on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant doesn't seat very many people, there are probably 10-15 tables here and it is next to a great Asian/Korean market. The servers were very attentive and seated us quickly and also checked on us several times while we were eating. It kind if reminded me of some of the restaurants in Seoul. We got some mandu dumplings and egg rolls for the kids which disappeared quickly once they cooled down and the kids confirmed they were delicious. My wife and I shared the fried tofu which was very good, it had a lot of flavor and a savory sauce. For the kids we had them share the donkatsu pork cutlet which we sampled and it was perfectly cooked with a crispy, crunchy crust and a sweet and tangy sauce. My wife got the galbi tang which was filling and light loaded with unctuous short ribs and vegetables. I opted for the haemul soondobu jjigae which I've been missing since Gabose in Lauderhill. The soup was loaded with mussels, baby octopus and shrimp along with plenty of silky tofu and vegetables and a nice spicy kick. It was a hearty and comforting meal and I'll definitely be back to try the BBQ.

I've gone to quite a few Korean restaurants in and around Jacksonville. Hands down this is the best one. Not only is the food AMAZING, the people are extremely nice and helpful. They offer so many side dishes. Best kimche I've ever tasted. I couldn't stop eating even though I was full. Will be a regular guest!!!!

Only 1 side of kinchi for $18 soup. What happened to other side dishes? Are you guys cutting back? Update: You have not resolve any problems, The owner told me only Koreans get all the side dishes and i needed to let them know i am “korean” to get side dishes.

Me and my Korean husband which is a very picky eater when it comes to Korean food, stopped at this restaurant and to his surprise was very pleased. He said it tasted like his mom’s food which he hasn’t been able to find in Orlando where we are from. Although they were very busy this one waitress trying to tend by herself most of the tables did a great job and made sure we didn’t need anything. Highly recommended!!!
