I would give this place zero stars if I could. Way overpriced for a gym that doesn’t even have working water fountains. This is not a gym where you can train hard. It is basically a planet fitness except worse because there are more rules and nothing works or is maintained. They will bombard you with a barrage of complaints, single you out and insult you saying things such as “you stink.” The lead trainer of dynamic fitness was rude to me and is kinda intimidating. He’s “bodybuilder” who thinks he is king of the gym and anyone who trains harder than him has to go. The staff said that I sweat too much and stink meanwhile the gym is 80 degrees inside because they refuse to use the A/C. I cleaned every piece of equipment and left it cleaner than I found it and still received complaints from the owner that I don’t wipe down equipment which was completely false. As soon as you walk in the gym you are intoxicated by the smell of mold/mildew. I also tried the massage services and paid 100$ and caught a nasty illness from the dirty massage bed and I was blowing bloody snot out of my nose with a terrible sore throat for over a week. She barely put any effort whatsoever into the back massage and it was a total waste of my time and money yet I still tipped. This is a gym for women competing in a beauty pageant, and geriatrics who are buying into their scam personal training. There are way better gyms in Jacksonville. You have baileys and The Pit just down the street if you want to train hard which are both cheaper, have better equipment, less drama, and far better facilities maintenance. You also can go to planet fitness which is just across the street and you can pay much less and workout with much better equipment and use better amenities.

I thought this gym would be great because of the pics online and the fact that a day pass is $25 and monthly fee is $50. But it REEKED of mildew. The gym lighting is straight yellow to match the stench. The equipment is old. And it was SO humid and sticky. I feel bad leaving a poor review but they could easily fix this place up…

Simply the best gym in Jacksonville. They have everything what do you need for your Fitness goal either you are beginner or advance you can find the best equipment and tools for yourself. also member have very positive and energetic attitude they have great staff

My membership was revoked after 8 months due to my unwillingness to pursue intimate relations with the owners daughter who ultimately got me and two other people I’m associated with banned from the gym. Let my story be a warning to all men that are only interested in lifting and not having relationships inside the gym.

I absolutely love this gym and consider it my favorite gym in Jacksonville! I used to go to LA fitness since it was right down the street from my house, but I didn't really like the atmosphere or machines they had. When I tried this gym, I fell in LOVE! The atmosphere is amazing and I feel so confident working out. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly that if I ever have any questions or issues, I know someone will help me. I talked with one of the owners and she was the sweetest human ever!! The machines have helped me lose a lot of weight while getting back into fitness. Definitely recommend going!

Same as most of the other gyms in the area, with all the rules its basically planet fitness in a different color. Dont go if youre on a time crunch. If youre just trying to get a quick workout in I would go to crunch or baileys. Day passes 25$

Sauna has been down for over two years. Literally the only reason I’ve had a membership this entire time. Please please fix the sauna

Easily the best gym I found in Jacksonville. Tons of cool machines the people are serious in there the gym is always clean. The daycare my kids love it. The owners are super friendly and really care about the gym and it’s members. The classes are amazing the spin class is fire!!!

The gym itself is fine. Most people clean after themselves when it comes to putting up their weights and wiping down bench’s. The problem is how filthy the entire place is. The gym is so dirty that my throat and nose constrict upon entering. The floor is filthy, the rags to wipe machines down are filthy, I watched a young kid attempt to vacuum and then give up, I touched the floor and black smear was on my knees, I touched the top of a machine to rest and my hand had black smear, and worst of all there is no AC so in regards to workout temp you’re hot (which isn’t awful, but not great) the heat promotes horrible mildew. If you have allergies do not come here. If you like clean gyms do not come here.

I love all the space and equipment. There’s multiples of everything. Sometimes it’s awkward though when equipment is randomly in an area that seems really crowded. I do love it here and Dan Sample is the best trainer I’ve worked with. He listens to what I need/ want and pushes me but not too hard!

They have sleds which is cool but it’s really hot and humid inside and smells bad at the entrance. Not open enough on the weekends. The people that go here also make it an intimidating experience :(

You won't find better gymotivation then at Gym Jax. You also won't find a basketball court or steam room... then again, this isn't a club, its a fitness powerhouse with more determined users than most other gyms. Staff is extremely friendly

It’s plenty big enough and has a lot of equipment but it’s a gym within a gym because of the dynamic fitness clique running it. I’ve worked out at gyms all over the country . I Wanted to like this gym but I can’t recommend this gym to the average community member wanted to stay fit . No sauna and goof balls filming themselves consistently

Great place to work out. If you're looking for a place to work out with out all the nonsense this is where you need to be. Serious body builders. Friendly staff that always greet you coming and going!

This is my favorite gym. Very clean. People are friendly and actually put weights back on the racks. The equipment is quality and they repair it quickly if there is an issue.

Most patrons of Jym Jax are focused on their workout, in my opinion. The gym offers everything I need for weight training and cardio. Staff is friendly. Cleaning supplies for equipment is continually restocked. The gym is kept clean.
