This is a great hidden gem to take the kids in busy jacksonville. Beautiful little lake. Basketball, tennis court and play ground. Had a picnic. Would definitely take your kids.

Beautiful white sand beaches. Lots of public access parking up and down the shore. Lots of people out enjoying the day. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9am to 5pm according to the signs , kind of a bummer but I get it. We'll definitely be back!

Fabulous park that has a lake and nature trails on one side and the beach/Atlantic Ocean on the other! Admission for a single vehicle is currently $5. Prices vary depending on vehicle. Camping is available, too! Bring your bicycle, picnic food, beach chairs, and camera!

I've always loved Hugeunot Park (beach)... Born and raised in Arlington-side Jacksonville, I have everything from amazing childhood memories, to memories with my own children here! "The Jetties", a nickname we always had for it since kiddos, passed on from our parents and their parents, originally named after the row of huge rocks on the beach, and running all of the way out into the ocean! Be careful if you decide to climb them and walk around bc we've definitely left there with some cut up kids feet! 😆 Yet, we ALWAYS still seem to really enjoy the beautiful ocean, white and sandy beach, with the Florida weather, that Huguenot offers, to the FULLEST! This being a drive-on beach, be careful of your little ones running around! However, mostly everyone seems to be respectful of the speed limit and watch for kids/ppl. There's also security/police, lifeguards (posted lifeguards on chairs, as well) and marine-wildlife patrol, driving around and monitoring things! It's nice being able to just park your car, pop your trunk or let down the truck tailgate down, and just have a blast with my family!! It's definitely one of the prettiest, cleanest, most pleasantly fun, beach's in Jacksonville!

Really chill, bespoke park with a huge pond filled with turtles, ducks, & goose. The kids and I love hanging at this place when South Beach park is too full. Just to enjoy some quiet frisbee, or basketball activities. There are tennis courts which we would love to try out one of these days but have to figure out how to get access. It’s also across the street from Whole Foods which is convenient.

First time here. And first time beach trip ever for my two pets. Went at 6pm with my dog and my bird. Beautiful beach. Sand is so soft. There are some shells for those who like to collect. Free parking was so close to the beach. Would definitely love to visit again soon.

Huguenot park is awesome! However, I see some confusion within these reviews because there is TWO different Huguenot parks in Jacksonville. The other one is a beach/dune, while this Huguenot park is a quaint area with tennis courts, a basketball court and an awesome lake with play equipment surrounding. It’s a great spot to visit in Jacksonville Beach. There are plenty of tennis courts. And a large green space. Definitely Recommend visiting. The other Huguenot park is awesome too! Just two totally different things…

You can play tennis here but I like to just sit by the peaceful lake and watch the wildlife along the boardwalk. It's a nice break from the noisy trafficky 3rd avenue shopping nearby. The ocean is couple of blocks away too, but make sure you park along the street or designated lot, as this is a residential area. There is a senior center attached as well, with restricted parking there.

Jacksonville beach area is lovely and filled with diversity and funky cool events! I so enjoyed my time spent here! Everyone was very friendly when we visited the "Deck The Chairs" CHRISTMAS lights event. What a fabulous idea and we really appreciated the local folks from churches to universities to local merchants getting involved in this free to the public civic event!

So beautiful but as I took a walk I was disgusted by people letting their trash either that the wind blew a little or they just leave plastic, cups, empty snack bags wrappers and boxes sitting their to blow into the water when they leave. Maybe one day they won't allow us to drive on the beach anymore because of people littering the beach.

I have visited this exact spot consistently for the past 25 years from Atlanta. It was my fiance's first visit and he enjoyed it tremendously! We had a picnic, walked the beach, waded in the water and prayed and sang worship songs unto the Lord Jesus thanking Him for life, peace and joy. We even saw a rainbow in the sky and it didn't even rain! Also loved watching a frisky dog fetch a tennis ball being thrown by his owner. Such a serene place even on a major holiday! Will visit again if the Lord says the same.

We love a good pup friendly beach! Bring your own bags when visiting. Other pups we met along the way were friendly and their owners were happy to give out pets to our pup!

Great place to drive your car in the sand and set up camp. Very remote. Drive slow on the beach, or the beach cop will get you!

Absolutely one of the best beaches to come with with your family. It's clean, not over crowded and you can do the same things you could if you visited one of those huge vacation spots. We will definitely make this one of our new vacation destinations.

Yesterday, I finally got the chance to spend some time at this beach with my wife, child, and some of my closest friends. I absolutely have to say that we had a great time!! Driving out on the beach and not having to unpack everything is a huge benefit!! Just a couple bucks park and it’s totally worth it!! 10/10 would and will recommend to anyone!
