We enjoyed every moment on Jax Beach. Blue skies, great weather, the water felt amazing, the beach was very clean, easy access/parking and we met some very fun people. Can't wait to go back!

The fishing pier is very busy so I suggest going earlier in the day to get a decent spot. Beautiful views from there tho. When I go I usually spend the day and grab a seat under the pier for maximum shade so we don't have to fight for a spot to put our umbrella. Beach rescue (police officers) are there & active also life guard on duty. Decent waves to ride also. For the Atlantic Ocean it's a beautiful spot.

I love Jax Beach. It is probably one of the cleanest, nicest city beaches I've ever been to. I've spent alot of time over the last year at Jax Beach and surrounding neighborhood. Never a disappointment, always people jogging biking and enjoying themselves. It's beautiful and lively, and plenty to do and see, but not over done or over built. Beautiful people, soft sand and warm clear water....best time to go???? Absolutely sunrise... Funnest time to go???? Definitely midday to evening weekends... Always gonna be one of my hot spots. Go get wet!

What a beautiful day to go to the beach!!! 88 degrees on November 10th absolutely gorgeous. Tons of jelly fish everywhere during my visit here. You could see them clearly from the pier. The crew on the pier were extremely nice and friendly. Felt very welcoming. Thank you guys for a great visit!°

Definitely beautiful beach like most of them all are in Florida the pier is absolutely beautiful and great to walk out to. The sand is so soft out here. I traveled all the way from Connecticut just to visit Jacksonville Beach again wonderful place. Public restrooms in showers are available. They do charge to walk on the pier though I'm not sure how much because I didn't go.

What a beautiful place to take a walk. Heads up though, it costs $2 to walk or $5 to fish per person. They do offer snacks, drinks, bait, covered picnic tables, and bathrooms for those who have paid to enter. I watched numerous fishermen catch flounder and bluefish while I was out there. Beautiful view and wonderful structure.

Costs $1 to enter and the man who took my money also had snack to sell. I went to watch the sunrise so it wasn't crowded. It is kind of dirty, but I got to see many birds and even got to see some kind of animal with a fin (Dolphin?!). Beware Because the pier can get slippery, I slipped on my way out and that wasn't very fun.

I have visited early, and visited late in the day. There is always super friendly staff to welcome visitors and it’s always a wonderful break from a stressful day. And, sometimes we forget that the pier is a great place as the sun goes down and the moon rises. Photography opportunities abound as well the chance to very likely catch fish. If you’re considering a visit to the Jackaonville Beach Pier, I’d strongly suggest doing it !

Parking in the lot is free except for Fridays starting at 8p and the weekends at 10a. The pier is currently free however this will change soon. Usually $1 for walkers and $3 for fishermen and has a 3 pole limit. Definitely no shark fishing.

There is a paid parking area around the pier. There are also bathrooms. I only walked down the pier, which was $2 to walk down, but they did take card. Easy to get to the beach. I was there on an overcast, windy day. Beach was not over crowded. Lots of space to sit out or walk.

I really enjoyed my time here at the Jacksonville Beach and Pier! It was a beautiful day for walking, relaxing, and site seeing. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and areas for bike riding. Greatly appreciate all the hard working life guards and volunteers 🛟 Many thanks for free parking during the weekday, I hope to visit the beach and pier again soon!

Pier has been repaired and looks very good. Dogs not allowed on pier. Some free parking nearby.

If you walk the pier, you sample a bit of Jacksonville's former and current history. For a slight admission fee, you can walk out past (or join) fishermen, picnic tables, hanging chairs, the occasional pelican or sea gull. There are great views of the coastline and the waters. A concession stand at the entrance sells snacks and drinks or bring your own and make a picnic of it.

Constructed and maintained very well. Convenient small shop at entrance with snacks and bait. Various shaded rest areas, Fish cleaning stations. Good for a leisurely stroll or to hang out all day to fish.

Really neat place It's too bad they took down the old one ..would have been a nice structure for fish. Mostly I've been under this thing not on top of it It's really neat underneath especially when you ride bikes through it

Probably the main attraction point in the long coast of Jacksonville Beach. It costs $2 for walking access and $5 for fishing. Free access under and nearby 😀

Went to visit my aunt in Jacksonville and wanted to go to the beach, was not disappointed by the white sand. The wind was blowing so waves were a little rough and rowdy but had great restaurants right by as well.

Great view, LOTS of people fishing but they were all nice. Great short stroll after dinner.

Updated: pier fully reopened with admission fee July 2022. There are local an annual passes to defray costs. It's nice to just sit up there and watch the waves, surfers, fisherpeople. They've added tables and limited snack service. Restrooms are open and inside the gate.

I took my grandson on the pier for the first time! It cost $1.00 for me, but he was free. There were lots of people walking, and lots of people fishing. My grandson got to see a fish being caught. The view was amazing. When the sun disappeared it got chilly. Overall it was a good experience. I’d like to go back.

The beach at this spot was great. The areas were clean, the lifeguards were on point, ensuring everyone in the water was in safe area and doing so responsibly. We really had a fun good time.

Had a blast at Jax Beach and the new fishing pier. There was a decent crowd fishing as well as enjoying the views. Get there early if you intend on fishing.

Puts you far out into the surf... I didn't fish this time, but it was great being there. Great to sit for a bit and watch the surfers. You better bring some kind of shade.. it's HOT but there is a great breeze that helps.
