We started at 20:15 and finished at 23:30. I have to say the time flew. Excellent attention, great explanation of the food and the story behind it. Everything was very coordinated and impeccable. I can’t describe all the different things we ate and it is hard to choose a favorite but the flavors were great. Check the pictures for an idea of how elaborated everything was. Why not 5 stars? Just be careful about the “extras” (drinks) as everything add up and there are some surprises. All in all a great experience!

If you are staying at Penha Longa, definitely go here rather than ‘LAB’ if you want to choose one of the two. Only caveat: the wine list is very expensive, which is a pity.

Just experienced one of my favorite meals here at Midori! While the prices are quite steep and warrants a visit as a special occasion, I found the value to experience well worth the cost. We opted for the 9 course experience which consisted plates from appetizers, sashimi, sushi, cooked dishes to dessert. The portions were a bit small and reality was a good thing as there are so many dishes part of the experience that you should be beyond satisfied with the overall portion amount. Every dish we experienced was so beautifully prepared that it was almost a shame to eat instead of just view. Service was too notch as to be expected in a Michelin starred restaurant, but also to a bit to break the ice with our server to get a more relaxed experience. I’m not one for a stuffy environment. The restaurant is quite small, but perfectly set up in a very spacious way and for a good part of the meal, we had the place to our own. You will be seated overlooking the magical Sintra mountains and the well manicured grounds of the hotel. Every part of our experience was just great and highly suggest a visit for your next special occasion.

Exceptional, amazing, wonderful, lovely! I can only rave about this unique and tasty dining experience. The staff was so kind and attentive, the view of the mountains was lovely, the ambiance was very relaxing, and some of the dishes had delicious combinations of flavors I had never experienced that were truly challenging my brain (in the best most delightful way). I also came for my birthday, and they really made it feel very personal and special. The whole experience lasted about 3 hours, but for us it was definitely necessary in order to make space for all the food (9 "moments" aka 11 small courses). I would highly recommend it as they are doing an outstanding job. Thank you so much for the pleasure 😊

Michelin one-star restaurant, located within Penha Longa Resort. Reservation is required.

More theatre than dinner, beautifully tasty and presented food. We had excellent serivce, our server Tiago was fabulous, very knowledgeable and can speak 4 languages. There is the choice of two tasting meals, these are both fish centric. I am a vegetarian so enjoyed a vegetarian version. This was chosen when booked, and the chef had prepared a special veg menu. I don't suggest this restaurant for fussy eaters, you won't be able to enjoy the full experience. Be prepared to spend 3/4 hours here for dinner, 8 courses actually was 11 different platings. The price is quite decent considering the time, quality of service and quality of food.

Very performative and theatrical food experience. Food was really amazing. I felt like I learned a lot throughout as well. It was fun to see some subtle influences of Portuguese food into the Japanese food
