I’m now living in my camper car for 7 years, spent all winters in Greece and now in Portugal and exactly this campsite is the best I have ever seen. It’s cosy and has all the amenities necessary. But outstanding is the nature. You have a feeling of being in Wales. Close to a Village with a wonderful restaurant, wich is good value for money recommended by the campsite owner Larry. And that’s true. Sober and simple, not posh, but the best Portuguese food I ever had in Portugal. Freshly prepared, what do you want more? There is a small park with a view point , not far from the restaurant, nice sitting opportunities and you can have coffee and snacks too. ( we called it Picknick place) You have so much to explore, so a longer stay is coming from itself. The owner Gary is very helpful in all ways. For me is it from now on the first place I visit on arrival in Portugal, and the last, when I return for summer to Germany. Oh, another highlight I nearly forgot: The car- garage Ricardo in the village. He helped professional me and my Belgien girlfriend as well.

Great little campsite in beautiful surroundings. Easy hikes right outside the campsite. Gary, the owner, is super welcoming and tells you all about the surrounding area. Relaxed vibe and great night of sleep. Warm showers and very clean. Totally recommended! Obrigada for a very nice stay.

What a gem of a campsite! This small and personal site on the outskirts of the village and within walking distance of the picturesque Marvao is definitely worth a visit. The owner, Gary, keeps the toilets in pristine condition and the small pool is the icing on the cake. Pitches, services are all good. The village is traditionally Portuguese and welcoming. Some lovely places to visit in this beautiful part of the country. A word for Gary too - a top host with attention to detail and a caring attitude, but laid back with it. Give it a visit.

Excellent stay, Shower block nice clean and tidy small site set amongst the trees with electric hook ups, village shops and eatery just a 10 minute walk. Site owners showed our group remarkable hospitality and friendship by offering the use of his home for afternoon drinks during the unusually wet afternoon. Thank you Gary and apologies to Izzi the Jack Russell for ruining her peace!

I'm very happy to review this campground because it was perfect and it's always nice to have only postitive things to say about an experience. Gary is a great host and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy. That said - make reservations! The most sure sign that a place is good is that they are always full, as this campgound often is. Great location, good value, nice walking trails right out the front gate.

What an awesome campsite in lovely countryside. Well maintained facilities and perfectly clean shower block. Gary is a star !!! A welcoming host who proactively gives you all of the information you need to explore the surrounding area. Nice little pool too which is a life saver in the hot summer days. We will be back for sure !

This was a great find for us... we loved it! Gary was very welcoming and gave us some great walks straight from the site. Beautiful area, spotlessly clean washrooms and such a peaceful location. Really missing the atmosphere, birdsong and scent of the Jasmine bush.

Friendly and helpful owner. Great showers and toilets. All you can hear is the bells ringing from the goats down the road. Bliss

Beautiful place and great facilities 👌🏻 Stayed for three nights during a very sunny spell in January and really loved this place. Gary is a wonderful host…so helpful and friendly. If you’re looking for a total switch-off, this is the place. Fresh bread and cakes from local baker’s delivery van available early most days too. Shower facilites spotless. If you’re an astronomy fan, the dark skies are the best I’ve seen for years. Amazing moon sets over Marvao castle which you can see from the site. Good 4G too. An absolute winner and we will return for sure 🙏🏻🙏🏻
