Go to this place!!! Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go to B. Matthew’s! We came here for brunch because our hotel was close by, and all I can say with each bite I took was “wow!” The food is hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS. The place is adorable and clean, the service was excellent. We got the crab cake Benny and the Bay Street scramble. 10/10!!!

    B. Matthew's Eatery has great food and service. Our server, Ashley was excellent and friendly. My husband enjoyed a Reuben on marble with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut, and a salad. I had the most delicious chicken pie served in a bowl. It was like a creamy chicken vegetable soup with a yummy crisscross pie crust on top. I would order that again in a heartbeat. Vegetables never tasted so good. For dessert we shared a warm double chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream. What a tasty way to end our delicious meal!

Highly recommend! All of our dishes were delicious! Great atmosphere & our waitress was fantastic! We had Brussels Sprouts & Fried Green Tomatoes to start. We got the Chicken Marsala, Ruben, Low Country Bowl, Cuban & the blue cheese pasta. It was all so good!

5 star experience both times I ate here this weekend. The service was great and the food was absolutely AMAZING! The chicken n biscuit is something I would come back for time and time again. The shrimp and grits and french toast was also very good. This place is without a doubt a must visit for breakfast or brunch if you are in Savannah. Please get an espresso machine though!

We haven’t had a bad plate yet!! Seriously! The bacon burger is fire, the French toast amazing, the fried green tomatoes taste like more, the shrimp and grits is so good, and the scramble is luscious. We’ve eaten here a couple of times and would return again. The service has always been good as well and reservation making easy.

We went for breakfast. First pic is the Lamp Post, it was good but turned great once we ordered sausage gravy. The meat of choice was the apple sausage, it was a little bland, I would try bacon or regular sausage next time. 2nd pic is the veggie scramble it was flavorful and filling. The fried green tomatoes were the best we’ve had in a while. Great atmosphere

Definitely a 5 Star experience for both food and service. We stopped by for breakfast without reservations and they were able to seat us. I am not a vegetarian, but the Veggie Scramble sounded so good to me, I had to order it. It was a perfect mix of egg, two cheeses and veggies that I still think about. It was served with one of the best biscuits I have ever had. My husband had the Lamp Post Breakfast with the homemade turkey-apple sausage and he was equally impressed. Service was excellent and the interior of the restaurant was charming with the brick walls and beautiful wood floors.

    B. Matthew's is the best! The food was so good that I've eaten here twice in three past three days, once for dinner and brunch. Very convenient location in Bay Street, in a remodeled house from the 1800s. B. Matthew's has a hip, upscale, yet cozy fell to the restaurant. Our server for dinner was AJ, he was so friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations! I highly recommend him for anyone in the future! We started with the fried green tomatoes, I had the fish and chips, my mom had the pork chop, and my daughter had the salmon. Everything was delicious!! We stopped in again for brunch and ordered the fried green tomatoes once more. The way they are prepared for brunch is different than dinner, but still very good! I had the crab cake Benny, which was an eggs Benedict served with a fried green tomato and crab cake, and came with a choice of potatoes or fruit. My daughter and mom had the bourbon bacon burger, one with sweet potato fries and the other with pasta salad. They both loved the meal! B. Matthew's is a new favorite of ours and we'll definitely be returning in the future!

We switched to eating here after another reservation fell through and boy are we glad we did. The food here was AMAZING. The Caesar Salad was amazing, Burger great and some of the BEST Mac and Cheese I’ve had in a while. I highly recommend giving this place a god.

Very good overall. Everyone liked their food. Biggest disappointment was being out of their star dessert. But it was a nice spot and service was good and we didn't have to wait too long. Was nice to be able to make a reservation as well.

Drinks were spectacular and delicious. Mussel appetizer was to die for, the muscles were cooked to tender perfection. Entrees were also all very good - catch of the day, fish and chips, and the pork chop. Night recommended for great food and service. I

Great place for breakfast/brunch while in Savannah, GA. Nice, upscale restaurant close by the riverfront. Loved the ambience of B. Matthew's. The food tasted great and the drinks were spot-on. We received great service from the staff. We will definitely return for an encore next time we visit Savannah.

On our mini vacation, we chose B. Matthews Eatery to have breakfast after reading so many great reviews. It was even better than we expected. It was so good that we went back the next morning for breakfast again. We were not disappointed. Everything was fresh and the portion sizes were great. My husband had the ham and cheese omelette and the breakfast potatoes - which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the veggie omelette and the fresh fruit - which I could eat every day. On all upcoming visits, we will be having breakfast at B. Matthews Eatery.

Delicious flavorful food. Fries had a nice crunch, bread was soft and the chicken was chunky. Only complaint on it was that it was well slread out onto the bread seemed to be plopped in the middle and ends had nothing there so had to readjust the inside of the sandwich. Crab cake was full of crab and very flavorful, fried green tomato and biscuit were delicious as well.

We came here for brunch and had a good meal. The interior was cozy, and the service was quick. We ordered the fried green tomato and crab cake benedict with a side of breakfast potatoes, chicken and biscuits with a side of fresh fruit, and shrimp and grits. The food was good, but nothing too special. Overall, we had a positive experience.

We were greeted cordially by the hosts, but our server was the unfriendliest server we experienced in all of our time in Georgia. He barely greeted us or spoke to us, didn’t check in on us at all once the food was out, and dropped the bill without saying a word. Truly someone who should not be in the restaurant business. As for the food, the shrimp and grits were excellent. Chicken and biscuits were subpar, the Bloody Mary had a nice presentation but the flavor was average. Disappointing experience overall for the price.

The employees were all very welcoming and attentive. We were traveling with our dog and they were happy to seat us on the outside patio with her. They brought her water and super sweet but not overly asking for her attention so she could could relax under the table. The food was delicious as was the coffee. We went around brunch time on a Saturday and couldn’t have been happier with our service! The friend green tomatoes were probably the best I’ve ever had.

Absolutely fabulous!! The atmosphere is so charming in the old building with modern touches. Our server, Gabriella was excellent. She was attentive and friendly. Now let's talk about the food. I have had many shrimp and grits dishes, but these were to die for. So good! With the smoky collards on top. Sweet Jesus! And the fried green tomatoes were breaded and cooked to perfection. Not over breaded or cooked too crispy. Just Perfect! Bloody Mary was excellent too. The bacon burger was so juicy and a mile high. I would highly recommend. The prices were most certainly worth the quality of the food and service. Enjoy!

I was down in Savannah for a wedding and stopped in to grab a breakfast. We ate outside since was a beautiful morning and the traffic was a bit loud but the conversation was still good and you can people watch while eating. The coffee was good but I thought it needed two creamers. I ordered the standard breakfast. Scrambled eggs were well done as I ordered. The bacon was medium cooked perfectly. Nice thick bacon. The biscuit was wonderful. Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Delicious with butter and jam. Super attentive wait staff. Overall a great place to eat.

I’ve eaten here twice this week. Both times service is impeccable and the food top notch. The Bay Street Scramble was very hearty and filling. My favorite of the 2 breakfasts I tried. The crabby Benedict was also good, tasty but I found the biscuit a little dry for this. The crab was delish. There was a big space left on the plate that looked like it was missing something, so I imagined a few pieces of fruit there… that would have been a nice touch. Overall an excellent dining experience each time. I’ll be back at least once next week before I leave town, and I can’t wait to bring my wife here some time.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in downtown Savannah. I also think they have some of the best Bloody Mary’s around. The chicken biscuit + Bay St scramble are both delicious. Ample seating but can get busy on weekend mornings, so the earlier the better!

As soon as we got to Savannah we parked and went straight for a brunch here. The chicken soup was amazing. And the rest of the food was very tasty. Probably the portions were not too big but they pay attention to the details. They have pimento cheese! And also the green fried tomatoes!

Great place for a late lunch ... nice atmosphere not overly loud and very charming in its style. Food was well done - we had sandwiches and fries but they were quite tasty (the fries were especially crispy). Lunch for 2 w/o alcohol ~ $40. Worth it.

Very well made southern food. The mussels in spicy tomato butter were succulent and tender while the broth was amazingly tangy and savory with a perfect amount of garlic and spice; this was one of the best appetizers I've had in recent memory. The shrimp and grits (topped with collard greens) were also very well done and the low country bowl was very well seasoned, with an ample amount of sausage and old bay spices. Reservations recommended.

Good brunch and lunch menu! The historic building provides an enjoyable atmosphere. They do offer gluten free buns and kids meals. Plates are about $12-15 a person. We were seated quickly and service was prompt and excellent.

1st time visiting tonight, and EVERYTHING was excellent! Gabriella was phenomenal. A great mixologist, I had perfect Bloody Mary's. Her food service was very good as well, staff were very friendly and professional. The food was also very good. Wife loved the shrimp and grits, daughter loved the sweet potato fries and Cuban. I had the bacon burger, perfect. Ambience is perfect for either dinner or chill at the bar. We're definitely coming back. Jax, FL sends our love #DUUUVAL!

Visited here twice, and the food was amazing both times. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best I've ever had. Service was great too. Would be best to secure a reservation because this place fills up fast.

Overall, a nice breakfast/brunch spot. The service was great and we were able to get seated much quicker than expected. Several reviews mentioned how great the homemade turkey apple sausage was, but it was just okay, not much apple flavor to it. We also had the mimosa carafe and asked to have it infused with berry vodka, but we were just given a single shot for an entire carafe. The Bay Street Scramble could've used a little bit more cheese mixed in, versus just on top, as it hadn't completely melted. The potatoes were amazing! Everything else was great!

Super cozy restaurant with delicious food and great service! The mussel plate was so good and I usually don't tend to be wowed by mussels. There was tons of flavor and the bread was yummy! The fried green tomatoes were delicious too! They had great texture and the sauce was perfection. The crab cakes were also fire, very moist and fantastic flavor. I loved my drink the Georgia peach old fashioned with house-infused peach bourbon, brandied cherry, orange and chicory pecan bitters. Was the perfect combinations. It would have been a 5 star experience except I the shrimp and grits didn't hit the mark for me. The texture was perfectly smooth and creamy but it was lacking some flavor which was a surprise especially since everything else was so good. Would love to come back sometime to try their brunch!

When I tell you that I had THE BEST chicken biscuit I've ever had in my whole entire life ..OMG!!! The food was amazing!! The service was decent, you could tell they were strictly business which is ok, but it would have been nice if they were just a smidge friendlier. I would absolutely be back.

Fantastic Food and Atmosphere. Brunch was highly recommended and did not disappoint. A reservation is a must, as this restaurant is a Savannah staple and is always booked. Well worth the wait and we will be back for more! The Fried Green Tomato Crab Cake Eggs-Benny was wonderful. If your looking for dinner options as well, B.Matthew’s has some of the best shrimps and grits around. We can’t wait to come back.

At the first, We visited this restaurant without any reservations. So we had no choice but to go back. 🥲 The staff was very sorry and asked me to make a reservation again tomorrow. I made a reservation through Google the next day, and my family was able to have dinner here at a good time of 6 o'clock!!😚 It was my first trip to Savannah, and this was the best restaurant I've been to. All the food was really delicious!! From the recommended ale beer to the MKT seafood dishes, everything was perfect! I love it!!

This is a beautiful historic option in the heart of savannah, right off of River Street. As you peruse the menu, you can read about the history of the building and how it came to be a restaurant. I love that they kept the decor minimal to display the old bricks of the building. As for the service, we had a very attentive waiter who is able to handle a large party of about 10 girls. He was quick to bring back our beverages and keep track of our orders and correctly bring them to our table. Every single person liked their dish, and it was clear that this restaurant is the one that I would visit again!
