The service was great, the atmosphere was also great, but the food was decent. My Mahi Mahi special wasn't that great. It tasted pretty dry, and the special just had too much in it. The calamari didn't taste well either. The lasagna was great, and the crab cakes were on point! I'd honestly just come back for the bread! That was amazing as well!

One of my favorite places in the area! Such great authentic Italian food and excellent service with a great wine selection. A fun atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in Italy. Never disappoints.

Fantastic restaurant. Servers were friendly and explained everything well. We had mussels appetizer, lobster ravioli, and veal with angel hair pasta that I forgot the name of. All were very very delicious. The sauces had fresh aromatics with no heaviness. We plan to visit again to try other menus! One downside was that the lighting was very dim. Many of the patrons had tough time reading the menus and bill. However, that was part of the atmosphere of this place.

This restaurant deserves many more than 5 stars! Our dinner was one of the best we have had anywhere. It started out with the best bread ever! Warm, crusty, flavorful top and served with a dish of olive oil and Parmesan. My glass of wine was a generous pour. I had a unique dish, Mediterranean shrimp , which was incredibly flavorful and served with crunchy angel hair. They pan sear the pasta giving it an amazing crunch. The shrimp were tender and delicious. My husband had chicken Marsala. The sauce was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We met the new owner, a graduate of SCAD and her design touches were evident all over the restaurant from wine cork walls on which is are blackboards listing the specials and wine selections, wine corks lining the windows and a wall of colorful wine bottle bottoms. We arrived before the restaurant opened and she was busy washing the front window! Service was excellent with waitresses, all dressed in black, refilling water glasses, clearing tables, etc. We are on vacation from Rhode Island, but if we lived here we would e regulars! Hurry down to this amazing restaurant!

Great little Italian restaurant off the beaten path. Well worth the 45 minutes we had to wait. The food was amazing. The lobster ravioli special was just the right size portion with shrimp and lobster. The staff was amazing and will come back again when I am in town.

We always have a good experience here. The food is phenomenal. Staff are so friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, but not pretentious. Forgot to get a picture of anything but the dessert.

Best italian resturant in savannah. Pasta is fresh & delicious . We enjoyed the food big time. We had garden salad with grilled tender chicken , shrimp Portofino. Main course was Angel Hair Pomodoro & Filet of Sole Picatta

Small, quaint Italian restaurant. While visiting Savannah, we went for pizza but it is no longer on the menu. So many menu selections looked too good to pass up. Decided on a Bolognese with beef dish. As you can see by the pictures, it was a scrumptious choice. Wiped the plate clean with the bread served. Definitely a delicious choice for a hearty and excellent Italian meal.

Got dinner after a long day sightseeing. Got chicken parm. Chicken was a bit chewy, pasta was fine, the sauce is a bit on the watery side for tomato sauce..The homemade garlic bread was amazing! We wanted dessert but they don't have coffee so we passed on that. The restaurant itself however has a very nice vibe, low lighting, etc.

Had an amazing experience. There was a wait so we new it was going to be good. 15 minutes we were seated and promptly given water and bread and told the specials. Everyone that works there works a team. I really like that. The food was incredible. I ordered Veal parmesan which wasn't on the menu. I enjoyed every bite. Thank you for doing that. We highly recommend. Definitely will go back. Desserts and salad were yummy as well. Everything is fresh and authentic

This should be anyone's main stop for Italian food in savannah hands down. I'm still dreaming about the bruchetta and desserts. I had the lobster and shrimp ravioli special and I want to fly back just for the food. Good location too. About a 10-15 minute walk west of river street .

We eat here every time we come to Savannah. Even though a 30” wait, totally worth it the food is authentic and delicious Portion size is great, and I highly recommend the Pollo Alfredo, the sauce was the best I ever had and the chicken perfect.

This place truly gives you the “lady and the tramp” feel. It is quaint and perfect for a party of four or less. Our party of three was seated immediately at 7pm on a Saturday. The staff were all amazing and made our overall dining experience wonderful. The food was top notch. There was not a single dish we didn’t enjoy. We ordered the Calamari and Shrimp app, Pollo Alfredo, and Pollo Parmigiana. They were some of the best Italian dishes we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this little spot and you just can’t beat the price compared to other similar restaurants in the area.

So glad I stumbled across this place when walking around downtown Savannah. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the bruschetta to the lobster ravioli special. The restaurant is kind of small, so you probably will be waiting for a little bit. But it is absolutely worth it! The servers are great and super friendly.

We visited on Sunday for Mother's Day - the service was excellent and the food was delicious! They have a team of servers who take care of you between them, and all were kind and gracious to us. They lit the candle at our table, which added to the ambiance of the Bistro. It was a small establishment, but bursting with personality and Italian authenticity. I ordered the Angel Hair Pomodoro, and it was lovely! They serve fresh baked bread at the table, along with olive oil with seasonings to dip your bread in.

This is a small place and there is usually a line outside. The inside is small and dark. But the food was very good and the service was attentive. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and my friend ordered the lasagna. Both meals were excellent and what I had been craving after a long day of exploring the city.

Second time there, the food was delicious (as well as the first visit), and the music was great to set the mood. The only negative thing I could point out was the lighting in the table area. The lights were too dimmed and could barely read off the menu. Everything was great and its definitely worth going there more than once.

Off the main path, but recominded by a friend. Glad he told us. Very homey restaurant. Staff was great, minimal wait. If you have to wait...the food is worth it!

  • 5/5 Elaine F. 11 months ago on Google
We were told it was an hour wait but we were seated in less than 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was out of this world!

Fantastic service and food. We got the Calamari & Shrimp Fritti and Crispy Mozzarella to start, both of which were great. My entree, the Mediterranean Shrimp, was by far the highlight of my dining experience. Recommended to me by our server, the shrimp and crunchy pasta noodles complemented each other to make the perfect dish. The servers were very knowledgeable and kind. I will be back!

Absolutely the best little Italian place in Savannah! It was actually the best meal I’ve had in months! The service was excellent and the wait wasn’t long at all! You have to get the tiramisu no matter how full you are! You won’t regret it! Highly highly recommend!!

I love Italian food, so while on my trip in Savannah, I decided to give this place a shot. Upon arrival, there was a weird smell, it didn’t smell terrible, but it wasn’t pleasant either. The building was also very dim for a more romantic feel, they only had candles lit at the table. This is a cute touch, but not practical because you will have a hard time seeing the menu. We were then told we would have 4 waitresses/waiters serving us, why, I don’t know. I ordered my meal (Mediterranean Shrimp) and wasn’t a huge fan. The tomato sauce was very acidic and the crunchy pasta didn’t compliment the dish. All in all, it wasn’t terrible but it could have been better.

I do not care what anyone says, this is the BEST italian food in all of Savannah! Such a cute little romantic hole in the wall place. I've been multiple times, and it's never let me down! I suggest this place to anyone who is visiting Savannah, new to town, or has lived here all their lives.

Fettuccine in white wine clam sauce was incredible. The best pasta I’ve ever had. The wait was a bit since it is first come first serve and it’s a small place but all the staff were really kind and keeping us updated.

Delicious gluten free pasta. I got the pollo alfredo and I can't stop thinking about it. Super cute and quaint place. Dark but cute. Nice staff.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. It's a tiny little place down a street that can easily be overlooked but we wandered in & were so glad we did. The food was amazing! The service was excellent! It's a little pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ended up here for dinner on the last night of a girl's weekend. I will say this is super small and not a place for larger (party) crowds, although they can probably accommodate if need be. However, it IS a quaint place to have a dinner date, or in our case, a girl's dinner for three. First the bread - crispy on the outside but light and airy (almost like a little Italian cloud) on the inside. Ordered the lamb meatballs (not pictured) - two thumbs up (Pro tip: ask for more bread to finish off the spicy marinara). Onto the pastas - Pollo Alfredo, Pollo Marsala, and Papardelle Bolognese. They were all freshly made in house with a large portion (we all had a ton of leftovers). Highly recommend any one of them but especially the Alfredo. If you are craving Italian, this is a spot to try for sure.

Best food we have had in Savannah. I looked at the reviews and was a little worried. After having experienced Bella I would definitely recommend it. Food was excellent. Staff was nonsense but not rude like the reviews said. I appreciated that the hostess took care of people outside. That way no one was hovering near our table. Price was good too. I always look at good and bad reviews and for this restaurant I would say the reviewers were over exaggerating. Go enjoy this wonderful family owned "hole on the wall" restaurant!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Incredible food and delightful service. We had the spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, Alfredo, and fried mozzarella. Each dish was perfectly made and quick to be served. Restaurant is small and popular so you will likely wait for a table. It’s worth the wait!

We were craving Italian during our Savannah vacation and found Bella Napoli on Yelp as one of the highest rated Italian restaurants in the area. I can definitely see why! It was a cozy restaurant with fantastic service, delicious homemade pasta, and a great menu. My boyfriend loved Chef Gary’s carne, I loved my pappardelle bolognese, and the antipasto we shared was so fresh and a perfect size. A great dining experience and we would definitely return again!

Best place to eat in Savannah! We have eaten here as a family with kids and we just came back for our anniversary. The staff was wonderfully hospitable on both occasions. That being said, I recommend saving this place for date night. Amazing food! We've had eggplant parmesan, angel hair pasta, manicotti, and a salad. All were amazing! Excellent Italian wine list, and they know their wines. Our servers were super helpful selecting a delicious wine for the evening. The ambiance is also incredible. They serve folks as a team and it works brilliantly. We've lived in LA, Boston, and many places between. This place is fantastic! We highly recommend!!!

We were in Savannah for our anniversary and for anniversary dinner we decided to have dinner at Bella Napoli Italian Bistro. We were greeted by our server Boonie and we were accompanied to our tables. The restaurant has a nice romantic setting and we loved the positive vibes from the restaurant. The server bought water and menus along with the bread and oil. The bread bought was fresh and we loved its taste along with olive oil. After browsing through the menu and discussing with the server we decided to order Bruschetta, Lobster Ravioli, Pultanesca and for desert we ordered Tiramisu cake. The service was amazing and first we got our bruschetta. The bruschetta was delicious and we loved its taste. One of the best bruschetta we had. We got our dinner too which included lobster ravioli and pultanesca. The lobster ravioli and pultanesca were both delicious and loved its taste. Amazing food. We informed the server about our anniversary and the server decorated our tiramisu cake with the happy anniversary decoration. Loved the cake too. Amazing and beautiful restaurant with delicious food and great service. Keep the good work going on.

My experience was divine on this past Saturday. The Hostess, Trisha was informed us of the specials and was very attentive to us waiting for our table. Abby, Ella, Claire and Nicole were our servers and they were so sweet. The chef, Fungo did an amazing job on all of our dishes. Top notch serve. We will definitely be back again.
