Great for freedom camping if you need. Clean toilet and shower block as well. Come down and visit with the family for a great place to picnic, feed the ducks and yourselves too.

Probably the best freedom camping spot we've found. Magic surroundings, great walk around the lake and dog friendly, very clean loos and even a warm shower. Well done Masterton!

One of the most peaceful lake park I have been into. On a autumn day, the park is a sight to behold with the geese and ducks as its permanent residents.

This is a great place to walk/cycle around the lake, filled with many kinds of bird life. Multiple tracks to choose at varying lengths to suit all. Public toilets and plenty of parking. Dog friendly on a leash. πŸ‘

Had a lovely bbq at the park with friends. Facilities were clean and easy to use. Tables with seats were closeby to have our meal at. Walk around the lake is available to enjoy. Play area for kids. Beautifully kept lawns. Heaps (almost too many) water birds to see. They unfortunately are polluting the water. There are bins for rubbish to encourage keeping the facilities clean. Lovely spot for friends and family to meet and have fun. Saw some spectacular spider's πŸ•· webs. Lots of seating around the lake to just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We biked all the tracks with the grandkids. Tracks nice and tidy and well maintained. Exercise stations, trees, wildlife, fresh air... very enjoyable

Love Henley lake and the fact that you can make your walk shorter or longer depending on which path you take!

Beautiful lake with a nice path right around it. It’s about twenty minutes right round if you kept walking but you’ll want to stop to take lots of photos.! Lots of bird life that are not camera shy and lots of reflections !

Awesome place to walk around, lots of trails, peaceful and well maintained. Family friendly and easy to get around in as little or as long as you'd like to make it. Picnic areas and play areas spaced out around too.

Lovely walk round Lake, with several track options; trees are magnificent, birds plentiful specially Black Swans and Canada Geese; good dog walking and peaceful ambience throughout.

What a lovely place . Great paths for walking, running, biking. Unfortunately fouled by hundreds of Canadian Geese. These need to be controlled

Didn't even know this park existed. Its beautiful and peaceful with nice places to walk. Friendly people walking their dogs. Disc golf course is still being developed, grass is long in most places which made it a challenge finding the disc at times. Otherwise happy with the course πŸ™‚

I freedom camped on the 21st June 2023, and it was absolutely stunning in the morning, fog, cooler 2'c outside and the way the sun shines through those trees are quite amazing πŸ™‚

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Incredible views and challenging but rewarding walk. You can do it two ways, either take the track from the end of the carpark through tussock, low shrubs and next to farmland, otherwise from the beach there are steps which meet up to the summit track. We chose the longer walk from the carpark, it t...
