Coming here is always a pleasant experience. The owners of the establishment are always willing to go the extra mile. The gated entrance offers a secure holiday feeling. Walking to the units through a lush garden filled with a variety of bird species. The units are very comfortable, always clean and well equipped. The owners have wood on request for the braai area. Pet friendly if arranged before arrival (small dogs only). There is tea, coffee, milk and sugar waiting in the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with pots pans plates and cutlery. All you need to bring is your towels, food and beverages. A short walk down the road and your toes are planted in the beach sand. We always stay here on our trips to Port Alfred and will always come back to our home away from home.

What a fantastic place. Just a short walk to the most beautiful sandy beach that stretches forever. We did a lovely 20km hike towards Kenton on Sea. The hosts are amazing and caring. The accomodation was clean and had everything we needed. The garden area was perfect for our dogs. We will be going back again.

Can't help to fall in love with this place. It's a gem, so close to the sea and beautiful views, tranquility at its best.

I would have loved to rate the place 5 star because it is a beautiful place and all that you see on the website is actually what you really get. I was so disappointed though with the treatment we received, and what hurts me the most is that it was racially motivated. We were charged an extra R400 simply because we arrived late even though we communicated and she said it's fine. I have never been so ill-treated for a service I am paying for.

I had a lovely stay here... Sanumie was very helpful and made sure that we settled down nicely and gave us all the tips we needed to find our way around PA. The rooms were quite comfy and the ambience was very nice. Overall, it's a good value for money.

If you are looking for a break away from city buzz, this place is it! Phenomenal hosts and an exquisite location and setting, this is all you would need for a great break away at the sea. Catch some rays or an early morning surf literally just over the road. Definitely would reccommend.

Super Friendly hosts, also very accommodating! Very pet-friendly and all over an awesome experience. The lodgings are totally worth the price and more. I will visit here again and recommend the stay here.

Sanumi was the hostess with the most-ist. I had to make an emergency stop over in Port Alfred and Sanumi went over and above to accommodate me and make sure I had everything I need. The Accomodation was perfect. So comfortable. Even a little garden for my doggo.

They were very accommodating to our late arrival. Met us at the gate far later than many accommodations would have. The were extremely helpful when we required assistance and didn't hesitate to ensure a better parking situation.

3040 on Freshwater hosts a variety of accommodation options to suit large families, couples and pets. We stayed at the Starfish cottage, which had a small private fenced garden for our dog. The cottage was rustic and charming featuring a living room, open plan kitchen, bathroom and cosy bedroom. With textured walls, old doors with beautiful antique fixtures, wood counter tops and a modern play on farm-style bathroom interior showcasing a corrugated iron wall and ceiling, this cottage has some clever nods to modern rustic country. The cottage is equipped with a gas range, large fridge, microwave, WiFi with UPS during power outages, heater and TV with Netflix. While very close to the beach, the cottage does not offer sea views. You are within a 3 minute walk or 1 minute drive to a gorgeous beach!! The cottage is not entirely private. You will have to cross another adjoining cottage to access the Starfish cottage. Overall, we had a lovely time at 3040 on Freshwater. The host was so kind and made us and our dog feel at home straight away. She also made sure that the cottage was comfortable during load shedding, providing recharging lightbulbs, ups for WiFi and stainless steel kettle for the gas range.
