This place is not safe we're robbed this wnkd, no cctv , I will never recommend anyone , at Kowie River Chalets. Their entered to our apartment while we were sleeping , took phones, and purse. . Big place like that was supposed to have CCTV cameras bt not a single one . . So I'm not happy with this place.

Lovely spacious chalets. Needing refurbishments. They are starting the process. It needs it. Gave my feedback and got a speedy phone call. Kerry ,manager very attentive , polite, friendly,as was the staff on arrival. It is in a tranquil area, seas views incredible. Recommend if looking for quietness ,just to chill.

Lovely, tranquil timeshare. We were in a 6 sleeper Wooden Chalet overlooking the ocean. It was a joy waking up to the sound of the ocean and those early morning Beach walks were to die for especially on the blue flag Kelly Beach. Kowie River Staff and Manager helpful, pleasant and friendly. Made our stay a delightful experience.

The best place to be at, didn't like the bedrooms though. The headboard makes annoying sounds when it's windy. Other than that, their service was the best and I had a nice stay there

The lodge is absolutely beautiful and the setting is perfect and serene. One cannot hold against the lodge who may book next to you though 🤣,. The peace and serenity is 👌🏻.

Lovely place to escape and relax. Views was magnificent and staff very friendly. Unfortunately no generators in place for loadshedding.

We find that the chalets were in desperate need of serious repairs eg doors and windows don't work properly, kitchen cupboards disgusting. Stove plates rusted. Definitely well below par!!

Magnificent white sand beaches. Clean. Anything we found lacking was quickly sorted out. Efficient service from staff...loved the elevation and view of the ocean. Pity about loadshedding but that wasn't the resorts fault.

Rooms far away from parking and pathway not well lit. Rooms hard to find. Was a bit annoying. Chalets very nice and clean.

Super fun The place is perfect for 1 ,2 or 3 weeks stay it is cosy and warm during cold nights neighbors are very friendly and here is some strict rules that must be followed and it fun if everyone follows it ,then everyone can have a good and peaceful time the streets are quiet enough for a morning jog or bicycle ride around 06:00 or 06:30

On a week holiday for my daughter's birthday. It is a very lovely place with chalets overlooking the beach. We had long relaxing walks on the beach and enjoyed our stay in the spacious 3 bedroom chalet

No backup plans for loadshedding or water when pumps don't work. Offered another accommodation to shower and use bathroom facilities just to get there and find out no water as well. Such inconvenience and no proper effort placed on customer satisfaction. For a 3 star it was disappointing to have it turn out to be a 1 star. Entertainment also issues bicycles not available and pool cues no tips. Management need to step up, you can't send security personnel to sort out electrical or plumbing problems. 🤔😔

Stayed for two weeks. They went out of their way to accommodate us in a sea view unit. Friendly staff. Units are a bit outdated but clean. The swimming pool can be more blue and kept cleaned. Ever so friendly to assist with baggage. Will gladly return. A shower will be so much nicer upstairs....a bath takes too much water. Fresh water is supplied while the draught is continuing. Boreholes keep the shower etc. in working condition...the view was stunning from unit 11 where we stayed.

Nice setting right up close to, with beach access. The wooden buildings are a bit dated and to my mind are showing signs of aging that even good maintenance is not able to resolve. The maintenance crews are busy though. Its a nice place for holidaying with family. Swimming pool, games like tabke tennis, pool table, darts etc. Also has a jacuzzi and sauna.

Such q beautiful place on the internet but a disappointment when you arrive. Dirty rooms that are not properly cleaned. Dirty windows, dead insects under the table and couches. The location is good as it is close to the beach. Would not even book for any of my clients or friends. The front door did not even lock the entire five nights we were there.

The location is great, close proximity to the beach (though signage to point to the beach access is very lacking), we thoroughly enjoyed Port Alfred, and the swimming pool is fantastic. There are a few maintenance items that keep it away from a 5 star review. The wax on the laminate flooring makes you feel like your skating around, the key gets stuck in the front door lock (the groove worn on the key shows this is not new) and one of the upstairs patio doors has to be pushed and shoved from the outside to get it closed again. But ultimately quiet, comfortable and we have enjoyed our visit.

The place is beautiful. What you see on the website, is exactly what you get. We managed to survive without WiFi. The emergency light help during loadshedsing.

Beautiful Charlets and a lot of activities at the commune centre, we had problems with the stove and the one toilet was running all the time. On Sunday there was no electricity, the cleaners didnt supply toilet paper, dish towels and also didnt change the dirty bathroom towels. When we arrived on Friday afternoon the lounge carpet was laying outside on the grass and when we left on Sunday it was still laying outside. I think management need to check on the units before people book in.

Beautiful surroundings and lovely chalet, with sea view. Fantastic. Only.... Not recommended if you are unable to manage many stairs. Otherwise perfect.
