Stayed in unit 55. The unit is lovely and well equipped. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers were thoughtfully provided. Beautiful view and grounds and a great location right across from the ocean. So why the two star rating? The unit is oppressively hot. There is only loud free standing AC units in each of the bedrooms. Their built in thermostat never read below 83 during the day (79 in the morning after running all night long) and the downstairs was nearly unusable even with two fans running non stop. The unit has a great washer and dryer, but using the laundry dryer was nearly impossible due to the extra heat generated. Unfortunately, I cannot recommended this property without an HVAC upgrade by the owners. Hawaii is hotter than years past, and trade winds don’t seem to cool things down like they used to, so full house AC is essential

My wife and I just stayed in #32 at the Poipu Kapili and it was a terrific experience. There is a wonderful view out the living room veranda of the beautiful grounds, including the swimming pool and beyond that the waves breaking on the ocean (see picture). We used the veranda and the raised patio furniture every morning for breakfast as it got the day started reminding us of the beauty of living next to the ocean. The condo itself has been recently renovated and has air conditioning in both the living room and the bedroom. It also has two big screen TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The furniture throughout is tropical and very comfortable. The mattress in the bedroom is new and very comfortable and there are great showerheads in both bathrooms. The kitchen has been upgraded and has a large refrigerator and the range looks brand new--and of course there are all of the appliances to live comfortably for long stays. Overall #32 is a place that I would recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay in beautiful Poipu, Kauai.

Parrish is doing an excellent job managing Poipu Kapili. We’ve stayed here for decades (should have bought a condo here!). March of 2023 I was diagnosed with covid on day we were scheduled to fly home. Couldn’t fly for five days. Parrish put us up in cottage they manage, and even offered to grocery shop for us. I find they always try to accommodate their guests’ specific needs. A special Mahalo to Patty in the front office, and to Robin in reservations. Note regarding rooms. The condos are individually owned and furnished. Parrish makes every effort to see that all the condos are well maintained.

Stunning. Very clean and the grounds are incredible. Very quiet and relaxing. Staff is amazing. The ocean is steps away and minutes away from shopping and restaurants 1

Beautiful location. Plantation style building. Elevator available to the third floor. Our room needs some updating, but having two patio areas was unique. Pool was pleasant and not overcrowded. Short walk to beautiful beaches. Lots of turtles and seals basking on the beaches.

Great sunsets but can get a bit rowdy. The street will be lined with parked cars and car music during every sunset everyday. The view is fun, not so much romantic. The beach is about a quarter mile walk, but it's best to drive if you have gear, mobility issues, or little ones. The onsite pool is definitely a plus. 😉

It basically doesn't get better. The view is astonishing. Can walk to poipu every night for a sunset and even the heritage trail hike. Amazing food nearby. Easy parking. Great pool at the perfect temperature with plenty of rinse stations.
