As a truck driver, I’ve stopped there before as I can park a road train the other side of the road and run in, this time I had the phone number ready to go and called the shop ( hands free) while on my way to Port Augusta on the 30/7/23 to have it ready to go as I was pretty tight for time. I was informed by the young male taking the call “we don’t take phone orders, you have to use the app”. I informed the young man that I was approaching Port Augusta and it wasn’t practical to download the app while driving just to order now. I asked if he could take my order now as nearly there, “ sorry I don’t make the rules” I hung up. I spent more time on the phone listening to why my order can’t be taken than it would have taken to say “ I’ll take it this time but we’re telling all customers to use the app please “ That maybe would have been a more customer focused approach than to lose a customer. I won’t ever stop there again, plus I tell relatives in Port Augusta, other truck drivers and so on. Pretty ordinary customer service.

As usual, BRILLIANT. A Port Augusta icon that never fails to deliver quality yummy food. I would give 6 stars if I could. 😀😀

My mother and I grabbed lunch here today and were blown away by how fantastic everything was. Incredible food, great staff and such a clean shop. Highly recommend checking this place out. Also, best hot chips I’ve had in years!

Surprisingly I was sceptical about the look of the inside of the shop compared to the reviews. However service and food was definately on par, that chicken yiros was worth the trip with that sweet marinade. Keep up the great work

Ate here tonight. Where to start. The prices were ridiculously expensive! $25 for a AB pack is disgusting! Especially when the container is barely a medium and it's not even full.... the meat was dry and they charge 80c per sauce aswell. I also got a banana fritter and ended up throwing it out. The batter was soooo thick and the banana was almost black it tasted disgusting. Do not go here!!

It's your average fast food take away. However it is very expensive, $15 for a hamburger with bacon and cheese and an extra $8 for small chips. If you want tomorrow sauce for your chips, that will cost will be an extra $1.30. Food was okay.

Stopped through last night for some take away dinner during a period when the shop was extremely busy. The service, portion sizing and quality of food was outstanding. Restaurant quality! Our pasta and pizza were to die for. 5 stars isn't enough. We'll be back!

Staff friendly, food came quick. Had the works burger. Was awesome. Can recommend. Other options seemed expensive and not really worth the price.

Chips were probably the worst I've had, expensive, too chunky, grainy and under seasoned.

Excellent food and very quick and friendly service. The rice salad and rotisserie chicken were fantastic.

Reasonable takeaway food shop, big menu of seafood, chicken, Burgers, yiros and salads. Service was pretty good when I was there. I had the seafood for 1 which was ok.

WOW, my partner suggested that we go there for a meal since we could not go to a hotel for dinner. Once we ordered and went home for the feast and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Recommend the business and the meal

Great place yo grab something quick to eat and please everyone in one stop. All our food was very tasty.

Came in to get two large ab packs came to $57 which was fair enough. Got home to open it and just started laughing had next to no chips or meat in a large ab pack usually they are filled all the way to the top. Would of been better getting a small one lol

I rang to place an order and was told I either have to drive in an order at the counter or download their app. I explained I couldn’t drive and as I had a sight problem I could not download the app. Plus as a visitor to town I didn’t want to for one purchase. It was then suggested I use Menulog. Which I don’t have , so I asked why they won’t take a phone order. I was informed it was due to people booking food and not turning up. I said problem solved here is my credit card for the delivery and order. The young lady then replied to go to menu log, clearly this business has no compassion for those with a sight disability. She was also rude and dismissive. In todays world of business needing more customers it’s nice to see that this business clearly doesn’t need any more. I also see by the reviews I am not the only customer they’ve lost and I also wonder how many more this business has lost but customers have not written a negative review. I asked the hotel we in and the manager said it’s a common issue with them. Not a good look for your tourists Port Augusta. Seriously how hard is it to take a phone order you can clearly take one if a customer turns up in person. To be honest she could have taken it in the time she was explaining why they wouldn’t take it- not couldn’t but wouldn’t! Review written using voice to text.

Mediocre... it feels like a chain restaurant with 2/10 service and feels in a small cosy town... this place used to be better. Staff aren't trained properly and it shows through the management. The "cheesecakes" and desserts are extremely over priced. My sour cream... lol. One was curdled and the other was akin to ice cream... both were not "sour cream" :) Pls do better for the travellers and reading reviews... do better to serve the truckies... take phone in orders - no ones going to stop to download an app for your service.

I have been impressed with the different foods I've tried from the hut so far, and I'm looking forward to trying other foods they have to offer as the menu has a decent variety. Service is really good and the store is well kept and really clean.

Stop over for the night in Port Augusta and we read the reviews so thought we would give it a try did not disappoint Calamari salad was delicious chicken burger with the works also good great service staff were friendly and reasonable price 👍🏿

Food was really yummy. Onion rings are to die for! Always friendly, helpful staff. Very quick waiting time. Food is always hot.

Had the Yiros pack with Cooked onion. Delicious. Huge serving. Easy to order on the app. Error on my part and staff refunded me no questions asked. Highly recommend 👌

Dropped in at 'Ians Chickens' Port Augusta, South Australia to buy two BBQ chooks on way to Flinders Ranges. Absolutely delicious. Large, tender, juicy, perfectly cooked chickens. Very clean store and well organised. Lots of salad variety too. Highly recommend 👍🐔🍗

The guys do an outstanding job here! The food is always fresh, the chicken is absolutely delicious and the place is extremely clean! Definitely worth the stop!

Good food n good value. Food was yum, we had yirros and they were gigantic, so full they were more folded than actually rolled because they had so much in them you wouldn't have a chance rolling them. The falafels inside were very nice and the tabouli was nice too. Thanks guys n gals, your service was also very friendly and you made us feel welcome. Would recommend to anybody else passing through that's looking for good value and nice tasting food.

This place was crazy busy. Doesn't matter were you are in the world, if a place is busy, it's busy for a reason. Really enjoyed our fish, pawns, calamari and chips.

We enjoyed a chicken, chips and coleslaw at Ian’s after arriving in town late on a Friday night. The food was great and reasonably priced. The store appeared to be popular with other customers. Only a short wait for the food. Napkins and cutlery were provided without being asked.

The pizzas are as good as I've ever had, probably simply the best! Quality counts, all fresh ingredients, great bases made as you watch. Next door to the Courtyard motel, so 2 minutes to collect & start eating! Give 'em a try!

Had delivery order to local caravan park. Fast and friendly delivery. Beef schnitzel, peas, chips and gravy fabulous. Vege pizza good except crust a bit soggy. Would have been great if it had been crispy. Loved the mint cheesecake. Would order again.

Love how easy it is to use the ordering website and get it delivered within a decent time frame. Always hot and the chips are yummy.

Amazing food. Our regular go-to for pizzas. Heaps of transitional and gourmet on their app and are completely customisable. Also do amazing hot chips!
