One things first. They lost my package and then when I ask them to located for it they said it’s almost impossible to find because it’s like finding a needle in a haystack like what the heck does that mean that you have millions of lost packages? How could you guys stay in business for so long? And their supervisor that I spoke with was so unprofessional I wonder how she got promote that far. I’m done wing usps won’t be back

Really nice United States post office I like the large building and that its open until 4:30 pm. I turned my package in they were very nice excellent customer service.

Constantly having mail mis delivered. Or the drivers are to lazy to get out of truck and walk package to door. They will leave it by the road on top of mailbox. When I've went inside to track a lost package it was like dealing with uneducated dropouts.

You can't lead from behind! Sitting in your office . The new postmaster just lets the place run itself. She's rude, and arrogant. Forgot that this is a Federal job. The postmaster used to know the people they serve. Develop practices and adapt to those needs and concerns to make the experience and service better. A post office in NYC is different from Punta Gorda. You can be flexible without sacrificing standards, stop the book rules when they don't make sense or apply ! Greet the customers once in a while and work the counter like the old postmasters of yesteryears. Get the feel of the clientele you serve . We will really appreciate just the effort.

This review is for the postal service in general, the people at the Punta Gorda branch are always friendly and helpful. Don't waist your money on priority Shipping, my package left 5 days ago and all tracking says is it will be late. Well I could figure that out all by myself. This is becoming a pattern for them, as this happens to me pretty often. I'm pretty over the USPS and will be using other services in the future.

Can't believe the negative reviews. have been using this PO for 4 years 2-3 times a week. Never had bad experience. GREAT EMPLOYEES. Yes. there are lines sometimes, but they are created by inexperienced mailers. Maybe you negative reviewers need an attitude adjustment.

I'm surprised at the negative reviews. Have lived in PG over 5 years and have never had a bad experience. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Rude supervisory hung up on me intentionally and I don't complain often but have had to with many federal violations occuring. Our delivery driver leaves packages that have often been stolen in our mail room causing theft to occur. This package today showed delivered and on my dashboard but told it was ultimately delivered to another correct address. How is this possible? I'm not sure.... But even with multiple box mailroom deliveries should be made to the recipient. Also the weekly coupons delivered to the recipients boxes not left in a bin to pick thru I know that the advisers pay for these to go in the mailbox! By the way my husband has delivered mail for 15 years.

This post office is great! It is very clean inside. The temperature is just right. The parking lot can fit the cars, but there is a lot of backing up and pulling in--easy to get into a fender bender. The postal workers are courteous and the services offered are many. Everyone is pleasant. FOR THOSE WHO COMPLAIN A LOT, GET A LIFE, AND DON'T VISIT THIS POST OFFICE!!! *** Please "Like" this review. First off, the people working the general area are amazing, helpful, and nice. I see why they have to compensate for the rest. This review is specifically for the package department/blue door. Everyone has an attitude about walking 10 feet to retrieve a package, but the heavy set man with glasses is absolutely useless. EVERY time I or another family member come here, it’s always the same story “oh it’s not back there” after a cursory look. I have had packages sit for 2 days, delivered and signed for by someone here and they can’t find it for days. Every time I have an important product shipped here for livestock, I have to wait an additional 2 days. If something is delivered Saturday morning, it isn’t ready by Monday before noon. I have used post offices in larger cities and the smallest post office in the US, and this is the worst one for packages. They really don’t care how important your delivery is, and I dread having an order of live chicks shipped here. You shouldn’t work here if you hate your job, you’re representing a service that is vital to society and with federal benefits and holidays!!

My package was stolen frm this post office on 2 25 on a Sunday smh talkin bout an issue wit the adress i go in on 26th to b told that there an issue wit adress but whn they pull up adress its the same n very correct tyn they tell me we will call u whn we find it still haven't got a call yet, terrible we put our trust in the USPS to deliver our packages n packages r getting stolen right frm the post office

Friendly staff. Mishandled our mail and did not take responsibility for the cost of having it returned. Time sensitive mail was returned to sender for no reason other than error, and it became my responsibility and my cost to have it re-sent.

I just want to comment on my experience as a letter carrier working in Punta Gorda. I'm a 41 year veteran employee and I have the best Customers! I enjoy serving my route everyday and getting to interact with the public. I feel good when I can help solve a problem or suggest a better way to approach something. Just the everyday smiles and waves I get leave me feeling rewarded at the end of the day. I'm a proud USPS employee!

Punta Gorda office has a specific lady that no one can seem to tell me her name nor will she walk to the window for me to speak with. Gave her a Dr.s note for my mom who is disabled and can’t walk she took it and only gave my mom a 30 day hard ship. Like seriously. Now she’s saying there’s no record of the dr.s note etc. what is wrong with usps and not wanting to help disabled seniors?! And why are they not keeping documentations, notes etc. Just lazy! Incompetent, and clearly lack compassion and empathy for our elders.. and yet we pay your salary.. go figure

The mailman hates his job. He only deliveries our mail 2-3 days a week at the most. We have complained and talked to supervisors but no one seems to care. We are now going on 2 weeks without mail!!

Everyone I've ever dealt with has been extremely pleasant and efficient. During "season" there can be long lines but they move quickly and everyone behind the counter is friendly. I think they do a remarkable job. Best post office I've ever visited.

I have lived in Punta Gorda for almost ten years and about 6 years at my current address. I live at a Resident Owned MHP on Taylor Road. Whomever delivers the mail there does a terrible job. My mail has been lost and sent back as undeliverable when the address was EXACTLY correct and I paid extra because it was an overseas mailing from England These people do not do their jobs - they have stuffed packages into my small mailbox to the point that I could hardly get it out - when there were large key boxes available to put packages in that too large. NO packages should be put into regular mailboxes !!! This is only a sampling of what a bad job these mail carriers are doing. I complained to Punta Gorda main office and I might as well have been talking to a wall.

I've been using this post office for 13 years and it has always been a most challenging experience....starting with the parking lot! There is only one very kind helpful smiling employee in there..Irene I think is her name...I wait for her if I can. Most of the time I print and pay for my shipping labels online and buy my stamps at Winn Dixie to save myself the grief.

Good experience! Had an issue with a shipping label through an app, Wesley handled it in a really professional mannor and explained everything we needed to know and even repacked it basically for us. Thank you

Does any USPS carrier know how to read??? My boxes pkgs were left with a resident on Douglas Street pc- she was kind enough to bring them to me! USPS carriers no longer need wear a uniform I see! Not even a collared shirt with USPS name on it! I HAVENT GOTTEN MY MONTHLY BILLS! 😡😡

We moved to Punta Gorda 5 months ago. In just that time, our mortgage bill for Ohio has not been delivered (even though the address is right) twice! and our mortgage bill for this home has not been delivered twice! and our Home Depot bill has not been delivered 3 times! All in 5 months. These are not discretionary bills. Somebody needs to shape up and get back to work.

Great Post Office. The staff and Management are always there for whether you have questions or need assistance with a mailing issue. Eileen always makes the visit fun and interesting.

Countless times they can't even manage to get a letter 30 miles south to Fort Myers in 3 solid days !!! 30 miles & they can't do it in 3 days at a third of the time !!! They are NEXT TO WORTHLESS !!! For God's sake DO NOT HAVE MEDICATIONS DELIVERED BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE WAITING FOE THEM .

I actually enjoy going to the post office here because the staff is so fantastic. They are quick, courteous, and friendly.

No self kiosk

Thank you to each one of the postal workers! Every one I encountered at the service desk was efficient and very helpful! I have been in there three times in 2 weeks with various different needs for home and work. Each time they are cheerful and pleasant, even though a couple of time, I had an odd size package! Each one went out of their way to suggest the best way to mail. Great team!

It seems like I have to go into the post office every other week looking for lost packages and undelivered mail.

Exterior appearance looked trashy. Staff were lacking knowledge, information, or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated, discourteous or rude, angry or quick-tempered.

Attempted to forward our mail for 45 days while we were traveling. Placed it on 7-18-23 and now nearly a month later (8-13-23) we have yet to receive a single piece. A neighbor who lives a few streets over sent me a card and instead of it being forwarded it was returned to sender! I have several medical bills arriving ( told by provider that they were mailed 7-25-23) and they have yet to show up anywhere. We have informed delivery so I can see what is supposed to be delivered. I submitted a service request and was told by PG that our carrier has been forwarding all mail appropriately. That's just an outright lie. I will say that my personal interactions with the desk folks has always been pleasant, but obviously there's an issue with carriers and/or personnel who sort in the back.

This may be the worst post office on the planet. I stood in line 20 minutes to pick up a package, and was then told I was in the wrong line, and they made me stand in another line, which was NEVER served until the first line was empty....just absurd.

Just an FYI, they are not like other retail establishments. If you are rushing there after work to try and ship a package but you won't walk in until 4:55pm, don't bother unless your packages are prepaid. They station someone at the inside entrance and will not let you pass unless your business is prepaid. Just want to save someone else the rushing and trip. Off to FedEx.

Terrible customer service, it doesn’t matter when or how many times you try to contact them the don’t pickup or respond. I was told my package would be held at the postal location for pickup after it wasn’t forwarded to my new address like it was supposed to be. Their was a forwarding request submitted two weeks prior to the scheduled delivery for the package to begin with and it was still delivered to the wrong address.

Eileen's customer service skills today were superb scanning my labels and making sure that they were properly paid for for the first time I've ever done it I really appreciate the time you took out today to help me.

Fast and friendly service. With the holiday rush in mind they have lots of flat rate boxes and an attended kiosk for credit card purchases. For the post office, 5 stars!

We have a business that requires packages to be picked up just about daily; 3 weeks ago Saturday, arranged for a pick-up and no one came...last Saturday, the same thing. Called yesterday to complain about Saturday and they said there were 'subs' on and maybe they weren't trained to pick-up (really?) We again arranged for pick up today, ANOTHER no show, it's 5:30 pm and we have to run to the 41 location before 6pm! If you offer a service, you should follow through. Your mismanagement of the Postal system is affecting other business's.

I arrived with 11 heavy boxes of media mail (packed in my van) and with back and neck problems, could not carry them into the P.O. An employee, named Kris, came out to my van and loaded them into a bin on wheels (2 trips) and then lifted each to weigh for shipping. She had just prior been verbally abused by another patron who even cussed at her. Yet, Kris did a great job and we chatted as she totaled up the amount for shipping. She was not only professional (and strong!), but a very nice and good person. I appreciate her help so much.... she was my angel on an otherwise frustrating and discouraging time in my life. Thank you, Kris!!!!

I have been to this post office 4 times because of some change of address mistakes I made. I talked to four different people and they were all extremely helpful. It is very refreshing especially because what is going on. They are very patient and helpful. Thank you Punta Gorda post office!

Deliver my packages. I’m less that the half mile round trip distance limit to my mailbox. Stop leaving them on the side of a four lane highway. Stop making me come all the way to the post office to pickup my packages. My packages and my neighbors packages are blowing into the highway and getting hit by traffic. No other delivery service has this problem. Fedex, UPS, DHL, Prime etc… USPS is the only one that can’t seem to deliver packages.

This post office is all but impossible to contact by phone. I have been trying to contact them about my forwarding mail which was supposed to start on 6/11/23 and as of 7/10/23 I still haven’t received any mail. I know my forwarding request is active but where is my mail with all my now overdue bills?

The Punta Gorda Post Office have such kind and caring staff that truly show how much they care. I have been funneling almost all of the packages I ship through USPS and have them dropped off / picked up from the Punta Gorda USPS. Huge shoutout to Dean, our daily mail carrier who is such a nice guy and is visibly always trying his hardest; Eileen, the Lead Clerk, who is always a pleasure and has supported my company from the start; Sherri, who works in the loading deck that has always kindly handled my packages when I dropped them off in the back; Lauren, the Secretary, who has ordered from our company numerous times and is always super friendly; And recently I came into contact with the Postmaster, Melissa, who has also been super supportive and extremely helpful in many ways. Thank you for all that all of you do! I’m so happy to say that I’ve gotten to now ship over 1,400 packages alone through the Punta Gorda USPS and all have been delivered and handled with care from this office.
