An incredible, must try experience to be able to sit so close to a feeding crocodile. The shows are very entertaining and educational with a great bunch of staff with a good sense of humour. The facility is very large and it is easy to spend hours here. Unfortunately I was too late getting food and missed out on the crocodile tasting - get in before lunch. There was plenty to see and do here and is very hard to get bored. Worth the time and money.

Stopped at Hartley's on our way from Port Douglas to Cairns. So glad that the wet weather held off long enough that day for us to enjoy this wonderful park! Loved the crocodile feeding session - very informative and entertaining, and made us admire crocodiles even more. Great exhibits, lots to see, and the kids got to feed wallabies as well. Was an amazing experience getting up close with a koala, baby crocodile, and a python for some great photos! The cruise was fantastic, where we got to see more crocodile feeding. Very well managed park with great staff. Would love to visit again.

An amazing experience for the whole family. Get there by 11am to get the whole experience. Entertaining and plenty of variety. I recommend the crocodile pie from the cafe it's to die for. The presentations are informative and amusing, even keeping my ASD daughter enchanted.

What an amazing experience. The cruise was incredible & was quite special to be in the lagoon, home to 30 crocodiles. The crocodile attack show was definitely the stand out. The handler was very impressive & I commend the handlers experience, professionalism & showmanship, it was very entertaining. Credit to Hagrid the crocodile too, he was awesome! A great day out & definitely a must visit!

We watched the crocodiles attack, and then we ate them 😀 A great place to visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and keen to answer questions. You can try crocodile pie, spring rolls and jerky. You can also cuddle a koala and learn about snakes. A fabulous place to take the kids.

Thank you to Sue and Brett for being so accomodating so we could see the crocs and hold one! They are magnificent and wish we had more time. The place is extremely neat, very Interesting and well worth exploring and we got some fantastic photos. Thank you again and highly recommend visiting Marine Malenesia to all.

We visited as a family of 4 and had such a fantastic day. We enjoyed all the shows and the boat ride. The show presenters were all knowledgeable but also had a great sense of humour so we're entertaining. We leaned and laughed lots. Kids and adults each had a great time. The line up for food/coffee was way too long though but that was only negative.

Only $43 bucks for an adult! Can't believe the value. The croc feeding and show was great. They had some big boys in there! They also had a variety of other cutters on site, as well. The staff were friendly, very funny and provided great information on all of their animals. There's also a restaurant and cafe on site. It was a much better establishment than expected. I highly recommend visiting 😊 kids will love it.

Bargain entrance fee of $45 per adult ticket. This includes 3 consecutive days entry and a lagoon boat trip. There's a restaurant and cafe with a gift store close to the entrance/exit. Upon entry, the ticket office will give a map detailing the events of the next few hours so you can plan your visit. I loved the ample shade provided by the trees everywhere. There were plenty of pathways to follow and things to see. I opted to leave after a few hours later and come again the next morning refreshed. The next day, another boat trip on the lagoon. Unexpected and a pleasant surprise. 30 crocodiles in the man made lagoon in a sturdy protected boat was a highlight of our visit. Safe for children and adults alike .

The oldest (known) crocodile lives here at approx. 150 years old. Very interesting watching them get fed! Heaps of artefacts and carvings from Papua New Guinea gives the Melanesian theme. It is a family run business where there is obviously a lot of love and family history put into it. They're very knowledgable about the crocodiles. They also let you hold a croc. The staff were really helpful, kind and funny!

What a hidden gem! The feeding show was educational, the zoo was clean and well maintained which could be seen in the crocodiles grins! So many amazing artefacts, a lot of time and love has gone into this attraction.

My 2 boys, 7 and 9, absolutely loved this place. We made the mistake of only planning a half day there when we could easily have been entertained and informed the whole day. Friendly staff, interesting and educational shows, fierce and friendly wildlife. This is one of the best animal experiences you can get. The crocodiles were the main attraction but there’s are many other things to see. Highlights include the predatory aviary, kangaroo and wallaby open area (you can go up and pet them), and photo ops whilst holding a koala (extra). Admission includes being able to visit on any 3 consecutive days as you please. Highly recommended.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at Hartley's Crocodile Adventure! The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the mesmerizing crocodile show. To make the experience even more memorable, my friends and I opted for the Breakfast with Koala package, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The package included a delightful breakfast in the morning, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to not only pat but also take photos with the adorable koalas. The entire experience was truly enchanting, and I wholeheartedly recommend Hartley's Crocodile Adventure to anyone seeking a thrilling and interactive wildlife encounter.

Loved visiting Hartleys crocodile adventures. I was unfortunately very strapped for time so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked exploring the park. But from the time I did spend here, it was a blast. So much fun and so many awesome animals. I was also able to hold Tangles, the black headed python which was an absolute amazing experience! The staff were also so lovely and helpful and funny. Would love to come back for a longer visit the next time I'm in Cairns

This exhibition is simply amazing. It is much more than just a Crocodile show. The primitive artifacts make up a magnificent display. Children get to see Nimo and all his friends in beautifully maintained aquariums. A family owned business with George at the helm. A must visit when you are on Green Island. Well done guys. Cheers Paul and Lynne.

A small family owned business that was amazing. We have been to bigger more globally known attractions and learned so much more in our visit here. The staff love their job and it shows. Our son had a million and one questions and the knowledgeable young man doing the feeding and education show was very interactive with him. This marine land is awesome. Nothing like what I expected. There are allot of crocs here. All with very interesting stories. I won't ruin the surprises. The art work is an extensive collection and beautiful and respectful representation of our neighbouring Islands. This attraction is very laid back and you can relax, unwind, learn heaps and enjoy marvelling at these huge creatures we share our home with. Definitely get the photo package! The gift shop does not disappoint. There is everything from small reasonable gifts for the kids to buy to a wide variety of precious stones, croc teeth and jewelry as well. This experience surpassed my expectations. A must see. Make sure you're there for feeding time. Did I mention the reef life you can see in tanks? Amazing. So mesmerizing. The water was choppy on the way over so this way we could see very clearly the life that grows and lives around the Island.

One of the best things to see on Green Island. The staff are very friendly and informative! I would only recommend if you have time to go to one of the ‘shows’ because that is what made it worth it. The man who fed the crocodiles while we were there knew a lot and was very friendly. The size of the enclosures are pretty sad, especially when they have the largest crocodile in captivity. The turtle in the area before you see the crocodiles is so graceful and cool to see. The fish tanks are so beautiful too!

Fabulous day out seeing and learning all about crocodiles, koalas, cassowaries and other Australian wildlife. We started off at 9am where able to feed the cassowaries which was a lot of fun Take your kids to experience what being around crocodiles and other reptiles is like and learning on what to do around wild crocodiles. The staff are very keen to impart knowledge and you get the impression they really like their jobs. Excellent fun for a cheap price, staff were very friendly and you could tell they love to be there. Overall great experience. If you buy a ticket on the day (family pass $112) you can use it for 3 days and there is enough to do here for a few trips.

We really enjoyed our day (6 hours) here. There are a lot of things to do and see and it was definitely worth it. The boat tour was pretty disappointing, but other than that everything was great. If you are in the area and have an extra day for something crocodile and animal related, you should stop by.

What an amazing place! Friends recommended Harley’s to us, and it exceeded our expectations. From start to end the family was captivated. All presenters were knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining, and the staff upon entry, and at the cafe were all friendly. A huge shout out to presenters Nick (crocodile farm tour), Thomas (lagoon cruise) and Michael (snake show) as well as to David that answered our many questions whilst we got up close with a young croc. The koalas too were a hit. We left completely satisfied. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hartley’s. Was well worth the visit!

I was very sceptical at first but my daughter LOVED it! It was the best of the 3 zoos that we went to in that week. My daughter was so happy to take part in the Wild Encounter tour and our guide was amazing! She just loved petting/feeding the wombat, koala, kangaroos and alligators. I thought the crocodile boat ride would be a bit longer but it was still worth it. Thank you! My daughter can't wait to go again!

What a great day out with scheduled times for shows and allocated tickets for a boat ride around the lagoon so you don’t miss anything. The staff are well educated on the breeding, characteristics and welfare of crocodiles and other Australian wildlife in their care and they’re keen to share their knowledge with visitors. The restaurant has a range of crocodile delicacies to try if you’re interested otherwise there are plenty of family friendly food choices too.

Aug 2022: I'm not a super fan of crocodiles, but they've always intrigued me. Visiting Far North Queensland always meant the possibility of meeting one of these majestic creatures face on. I'm.glad to report that no-one was eaten here, and the we all survived. Loved the ability to come within close proximity, and to know that they were extremely well fed. The cruise was a great way to get close, however a few more feedings would have been appreciated.

I watched the feeding of Cassius the 6 metre croc at Green Island today. Cassius is approximately 110 years old with the movie Rogue based on his activities and adventures and his very nasty habit of destroying outboard motors and eating people. His snout has a lot of scars due to the outboard biting and removal habit. At one point a boat load of six people went missing. Another crocodile was blamed but did not have the same scars as Cassius. Cassius was eventually removed to Green Island in 1984 and his pool is kept at a constant temperature of 24 Celsius in winter to keep him comfortable. His enclosure in Marine Land Melanesia houses about 18 crocodiles but also an amazing priceless collection of Sepik. Indonesian and Pacific artifacts and statues which were fairly common 35 or 40 years ago but are like RHS today. They would make a major museum collection on primitive art and culture anywhere in the world. This is a must see exhibit in Far North Queensland.

Visited Hartley's with family and had a great time. Plenty to do throughout the day both in the morning and afternoon as live talks happen pretty much every hour. Really interactive experience with the animals even getting the chance to get up close with animals like the kangaroo, koala and a few others. The food is pretty decent as well so if you're there most of the day there's plenty to choose from. Highly recommend this place for anyone in the area or even staying in Cairns for a few days. Tickets are reasonably priced and well worth it.

  • 5/5 James W. 7 months ago on Google
We had an absolutely fantastic 3.5 hours here. There was so much to see and do! All the staff were welcoming, charismatic and friendly. There were so many crocs to see too. Unlike other zoo’s where you have to keep paying extra for all the other activities, admission included a 20-minute guided boat tour, informative talks on Cassowaries, Snakes and Crocodiles (held at approximately 1 hour intervals throughout the day so you’re able to explore a little between sessions), hand feed a cassowary and pat a kangaroo. For an extra cost, you can pay to eat breakfast with a Koala, or have your photo taken while holding a Koala or Snake. If you’re able to find a little 10% discount flyer around town, it‘ll save you a couple of dollars. Would definitely recommend!

Cannot recommend it enough. This is a must visit when you are in the Cairns area. It has the best Crocodile show. All the shows were very informative and we learned a lot about the snakes, crocs and Cassowary, all in a matter of few hours. Absolutely amazing. We only had a few hours, but we felt we could easily spend a full day there. There is so much to see.

The most exciting part of Green Island, and seemingly the oldest part (except for the natural aspects). The crocodile feeding was spectacular. My mum use to visit as a child many decades ago and remarked about how almost nothing has changed in the museum section. She reminisced. I have a lot of respect for the owners and their continued efforts to work in Marine Melanesia on Green Island as they keep bringing in tourists to a more traditional part of the island.
