My friend and I stayed here for a little night away. The moment we walked in, Helen’s energy was so welcoming and kind. She gave us a tour of the whole house and was so informative on the history of the Heather House. Everything was beautiful and the breakfast in the morning was incredible. My friend has a gluten allergy, as did another guest staying there, so Helen made the entire breakfast gluten free. It was our first time staying here and we will most definitely be back. If I could give more than a 5 star review I would!

My boyfriend purchased a gift certificate for me for Christmas for us to stay at the Heather House. It was a beautiful visit! We stayed in the St. Clair room with views of the river out of every window, a cute little balcony porch, a 2 person jetted bath tub and the best mattress ever. Not to mention it was a beautiful room with antiques all over! Breakfast was amazing! Very enchanted stay! Thank you Helen! We will be back!

The Heather House was a lovely B & B. Walking distance to downtown Marine City, and a river view from our room balcony. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and especially the homemade scone. Helen is an awesome host and we will be back 😊

The Heather House is an amazing place to stay. It is a beautiful home inside and out, and has great views of the St.Clair river from the individual balconies. My room was comfy, clean, and quiet. Guests have a few choices of tables to eat at-alone or at the dining table. The food was fabulous(really). Every breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, juice, baked dish, and something sweet. The baked french toast was my favorite. I admire Helen and Mark's attention to every detail right down to the music being played in the main living area. They are great hosts that keep a welcoming and relaxing feel about their home. I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend a long weekend at the Heather House.

Do Victorian mansions get any more spectacular than this? Great location and wonderful hosts. On a nice summer day, nothing beets looking out from off your balcony and watching the river pass by. Also, beautiful stained glass windows throughout. Wish I could live in that house (rent free of course :))

I can't say enough good things about our recent stay at the Heather House. We were in the area for a long weekend exploring the area and loved everything about our stay. Helen and Mark are so friendly and accommodating and this is one to put on the bucket list if you're a lover of old houses. So much detail, and we loved hearing about the history of the house itself. We stayed in the Huron room, which has a porch overlooking the St. Clair River and viewing the freighters as they floated past was a treat. You'll find the rooms to be extremely clean and comfortable, and the fact everything is decorated with period furniture is a wonderful bonus. Marine City is a very cute town with great restaurant options, and you'll also love exploring the entire river area from Port Huron to Detroit. You'll not want to miss out on Helen's wonderful breakfast, but keep in mind it's served at one setting, usually around 9:00. If you're an early riser then you might miss out, but trust me....sleep in a bit, go for a walk around the beautiful town, and do NOT miss the breakfast with the other guests. We met some wonderful people from all over the state during that hour, and I wouldn't have traded it for anything. Thanks again to Helen and Mark for your hosting and having such a beautiful house to share with us. We are already thinking about our next stay!

I had a wonderful adventure when I stayed at Heather House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was great to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by. The breakfasts were amazing, too. There's not a lot to do in Marine City, but for my purposes of rest and relaxation, it was 00LiHahQb

A Bed and Breakfast that we will remember for a long time. First time here with friends who had stayed here before. Great for watching the big ships go by. Down load the app that shows you when the ships are coming by and then get ready to be amazed. Great Hostess....Great Breakfast...Great way to meet travelers just like yourself.
