We booked online with Choice Hotel points. When we arrived the outside was undesirable. Before we checked in we asked to see a room. On the walk to the room, the carpet and baseboards were dusty and dirty. The room smelled musty like smoke, although the property is non-smoking. There was hair in the bathroom floor, parts of shower tile was coming off, the bed had a sag in the middle. We opened the closet and there was some silk flower petals that we on the floor. We did not stay and requested and received our choice hotel points back after the rep. Called hotel to ensure that we did go into the room. The desk clerk was very kind to allow us to be in the room.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I cannot stress this enough. If I could leave a zero star review, I would, and they wouldn't even deserve THAT much. My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. When we got to the hotel, our room wasn't cleaned, the room was left unlocked, there were no sheets on the beds, the bathroom was filthy, random bottles of cleaning products were strewn around the room, and there was a suspicious brown stain on one of the mattress pads. It was as if the cleaning staff just gave up half way and went home. In fact, this would absolutely seem to be the case, as we specifically asked if the cleaning staff could finish cleaning the room, and were told "no, sorry, there's no cleaning staff, they've gone home". We asked to see the manager, to get a refund, and apparently THEY had gone home as well. We were told that we could either accept an upgrade to a double queen bed room on the second floor, or a single queen with a pull-out bed. We took the double queen, but problems didn't stop there. We consistently had issues with our room keys, and the electrical outlets in our room were sketchy to say the least. One outlet even managed to destroy my wife's cell phone charger and my laptop charger. Stay away from this place. You're almost better off sleeping in your car, it would certainly be cleaner at least.

Rooms were dirty! The manager does not care or want to deal with the customers. In the morning when checking out, the front desk girl did not have a friendly attitude. There were still cloths hanging in the closet from the last guests. The maid does not clean the floors especially in the washroom. Cheaper for a reason I guess. The rooms also still have the smell of cigarette smoke. When we talked to the front desk. We did not get any help. Lots of competition in the area. Try another hotel before checking into this one.

Was not impressed. Started off our night being checked into the wrong room (double queen) Came back from our meeting to be told all the Kings, one of which we had booked were sold out and nothing they could do for us. Hot Tub was broke, hot breakfast consists of microwaved eggs, microwaved sausage links and waffles. No fridge in the rooms, cards don't work in the locks, no shower curtain equals water all over the bathroom floor. Just asking for a slip and fall lawsuit. For 177.00 not worth the stay.

Awful. Worst hotel I've ever used. It was dirty, falling apart and disgusting. Doors not shutting all the way, outside doors don't lock without card after 11 like it says, gluing on window screens....messed up. To make it worse, I was informed after arriving of the pet fee of $60. Ok, I can handle that. Then they proceeded to charge me $90 instead. They assured me I would have a $30 credit returned to my card. Upon leaving, I asked them to double check because I could still see the charge. After calling the manager Andrew, they then told me the $90 charge would fall off in a few days and went ahead and charged my card an additional $60. Tying my card up for an extra total of $150. These guys are unprofessional, unknowledgable, and unethical. Never, ever stay here. One gross room for one night cost me $350. Yeah, next time I'll grab a tent and feel cleaner. Better Business Bureau, come check it out.

This hotel is an absolute DUMP. I ordered a suite (2 Queens and pull out couch). Furniture was damaged and so dirty, I didn't even want to sit on it. Floors were not clean. Bedspreads had stains on them. There was a punched hole in the bathroom door and the shower had no shower curtain. This place is NOT CLEAN AT ALL. Staff was nice but there are like 2 ppl working. It's filthy. $200 for my room last Saturday. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

This is the worst hotel I have ever been in. Every area was filthy and falling apart. The room was dirty, smoke filled and the window was nailed shut. I asked for a new room and the front desk agent took me to 5 more rooms, each one worse than the first. Bathrooms were not cleaned, three of the rooms had no towels, the beds were messy and there was dirt on the floor . The front desk agent tried calling her manager multiple times, he was unresponsive for the 45 minutes I waited. A county employee stood at the desk insisting she be helped before two customers, she required mounds of paperwork for the homeless men the county was putting up at the hotel. When the hotel could not provide me a safe and clean room I requested a cancellation and a refund, the hotel refused.

Fabulous little place. Super pleasant staff. They have the GOOD sheets UNLIKE the Choice Hotel down the road. It would be great to improve breakfast a bit. Long-term maintenance people need a swift kick in the backside but otherwise clean. Save yourself the misery of going to the Choice Hotel down the road and stay here. I will never go to the other place again (cheap and dirty).

I want to start off by saying the staff in the lobby were amazing and were very understanding and apologetic. My friend and I checked in and went to our room and there were dead bugs all over the window sill, stains on the bedding and pillows, and a bunch of trash in the drawers (hot dog buns, pads, etc). We notified the staff and they said they would have a new room ready for us if we wanted to go grab some food. We went out to eat and came back and we were put in the same room which we agreed to assuming it would be clean. There were still stains and hairs in the bedding and pillows, though the drawers had been cleaned. At this point we had lost trust and decided to leave and drive the 3.5 hours home. The front desk staff was super apologetic and said they understood and that they would cancel the reservation and would make sure we weren’t charged a thing due to the mess we walked into. A week later and I just noticed I was charged in full. $159 CAD. I’ve been told the manager will call me to discuss and I hope this results in the refund we were promised.

Beds were hard as a rock, building needs to be maintained better. The bathroom was awful. Toilet wasn't connected to the floor. Shower lever wouldn't work so couldn't take a shower. Over priced!

Highly don't recommend this place if you have pets. They messed up scheduling our room into a pet friendly room, Rob allowed us to stay with our pets in a non pet friendly room since it was 2am when we check in and said he would waive the pet fee and apologized, we have been called multiple times in our room on our first night here because they lost my card on file and said we were lying about what their night shift manager said to us and was going to charge us more fees for being booked in a non pet friendly room. We are tired of being bugged in our room while trying to relax and we definitely aren't happy that to two staff members can't figure out their policies and all our phone calls are recorded so we will be providing proof to the owners. When the lady speaks to us on the phone we have to reminder her to lose her attitude and she begins to lose her cool so we discontinued the call as we will not deal with the disrespect.

This hotel does not have a fridge or microwave in the regular rate rooms. There's an upcharge for these basic amenities that you expect from a hotel. We told them about room service both nights to the workers, front desk and nothing. The gym has 3 things and they don't work they also don't have dumbells. They don't have a hot tub although it's advertised. The pool floor needs to be repainted it looks rusty or dirty water. The only thing that was okay was the breakfast. They have a wafflemaker.

There were water leaks outside the rooms with a pale catching the water. Rooms had cob webs. No fridge or microwave. The pool was a funky green no one would swim the following day the pool was emptied. Staff at the front on check out was not friendly. All she could say was I left a note for manager. I have not heard from him after being told I would get compensated. We travel to port Huron regularly and with about 15 people. We will never go to this hotel again.

The staff at the front desk were a plus, so this review gets 2 stars instead of 1. Beyond the staff being competent and friendly, there isn't much good to say. It's an old hotel that doesn't appear to get much investment. On a main entry door it looks like the maintenance team replaced a handle with a painted piece of a threshold (?). While an ingenious short-term fix, it gives an impression of a haphazard environment. The halls are dingy with years of dirt ground in. Our room hadn't been cleaned well. There was hair in the shower drain (which I forgave and picked out - people can have bad days), the dirty towels from the previous guest hanging on the back of the door (which I couldn't forgive - how do you miss something like that?!), and cob webs hanging from the light shade on the nightstand (maybe this room hasn't been used in a while?). Anyway, not a place I would give my money to again.

First impression... Dirty... Dirty... Dirty... Before entering it's dirty. I am in town for a funeral for my grandfather so my parents rented the room. As a hotel with traveler's they don't take COVID-19 seriously as none of the doors are cleaned. Every hallway is filthy not vacuumed maybe even never. Not to mention the 3 inch dust in the rooms with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Pool was not open and if it was, swim at your own risk as the water had a grey tint. The breakfast was slim Pickens. Bed's are hard as concrete maybe the floor would have been better. Just an honest review.

Filthy room, smelled like mold, bedbugs and flies everywhere, chunks of plaster missing from the pool, jacuzzi was closed and looked like a crime scene, breakfast buffet was empty and there were no employees to be found for over 40 mins to tell them. The absolute worst hotel I have ever encountered

I'm responding to the mangers comme t about swearing. I was polite on the phone. I barely coukd a word in. The manager should be fired has no customer service what so ever. Do not ever make a reservation at this hotel. I was informed by front desk person that the cleaning of tge hotel us management issue. Clearly I agree. The hallway was dirty room was disgusting.

Had to change rooms because there was dump in the toilet. The next room had hair on a soap bar in the corner, the toilet didn't flush, drywall on the floor, but the breakfast was okay.

Easy check in, hallways were FILTHY, hot tub was out of service, comforter was dirty, hair all over the floor in the bathroom. During my stay a family in the room next to me was kicked out making me wonder if the hotel was providing lodging on a weekly basis. The bolt on my door did not move, relying on the self locking mechanism and the little latch and ball for security. A group of smokers settled in under my window outside and talked for hours. And (I assume) one of them scratched “HI” into the paint just above my car door handle. This is not a luxury stay. Checked out after one night.
