A
stunning
park
hidden
in
a
valley
directly
outside
of
downtown
Akron,
although
not
part
of
the
Cuyahoga
Valley
National
Park,
it
is
the
beginning
of
the
greenbelt
that
travels
north/northwest
into
said
valley.
Summit
Metro
Parks
considers
this
area
the
jewel
of
their
park
system
and
I
agree.
The
signal
tree,
picnic
areas,
and
connection
to
the
Highbridge
Trail
are
all
gorgeous.
Several
areas
of
the
river
here
are
shallow
enough
to
venture
into
the
middle
of
the
river,
where
you
can
often
see
Blue
Heron
catching
a
meal.
There
are
also
several
deep
bends
where
one
can
take
a
swim
when
the
water
is
clean
enough
for
that.
Deer
are
plentiful
as
well
and
can
often
be
seen
grazing
in
the
middle
of
the
meadows
near
dusk.
Truly
a
magical
place.
Also,
several
other
wonderful
parks
abut
this
one
that
are
worth
checking
out
-
the
overlook
area
in
Cuyahoga
Falls
has
a
viewing
platform
that
overlooks
this
area
and
has
trails
connecting
to
it,
there's
also
Babb
Run
across
the
river
which
features
a
underused
trail
to
a
beautiful
waterfall,
but
this
chuckery
area
is
my
favorite!
