We brought our puppy in for his second round of shots, our first visit to this vet. We told the vet this was our first time with a dog of our own. They brought him into a second room (lured him using treats, they did not tell us what they were and just assumed they were fine for him) and closed the door. We were shocked as the reason for this wasn't explained at all. Why is it necessary to hide what they are doing? They opened the door when he was on the table and we saw them administer only 2 of the vaccinations (one needle to his shoulder and spray to his nose). He still itches the spot aggressively on his shoulder where they gave him the shot we witnessed. The vet did not warn us about vaccine injuries (he was sick with fever, overall sensitivity where he would yelp if he tensed his body, thick mucous drool, lethargy, and a cough for the next few days) and did not warn us not to bring him around other puppies who had not yet received their shots (another vet recommended to avoid this for a few weeks). We had plans that weekend to spend with another puppy and thankfully the other puppy was okay afterwards. We told this vet that this was our first dog and she gave us ZERO of the extra and important information. She also pushed the flea and tick vaccination, where another vet has since informed us that there have been no lime disease reports in dogs in the area. We live in a city and if needed it is easy to make an essential oil tick spray and not risk the seizures associated with the vaccination. She gave us no holistic options and seemed to be very moulded by the medical system. It is clear that this vet doesn't care to give important information to her customers that could support a dogs wellbeing and would rather just take customers money. I will not be going back and would not recommend it to anyone unless they don't care for their pets wellbeing.

You are in luck Port Moody! Dr Buxton has been my vet for approximately 25 yrs and she has moved to your area. She is knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and attentive. She is everything you would want in a vet, going through good times as well as sad times with your furry loved ones.

Dr. Siegert and Port Moody Animal Hospital have been providing our family's pets with veterinary care for twenty years. We were impressed by the team from the outset and it has only grown in our estimation over the intervening years. The quality of service is exceptional, the fees are reasonable, Dr. Siegert skillfully combines a no-no sense approach with compassion, and her insights into animal behaviour add another level of care to her medical expertise.

Being very particular as to the Doctor of my pets, there is no doubt Dr. Buxton is everything you want in a vet. She is compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and patient. And unlike a lot of vets that don't perform surgery, she is an excellent surgeon. That makes her complete. Like some of her other patients, we follow her from South Burnaby Veterinary Hospital despite her new location is double the distance.

I recently had to say goodbye to my sweet, 151/2 year old lab. Dr.Siegert was extremely compassionate, supportive and reassuring about my decision. I highly recommend her!

Would not take my pets anywhere else. Dr. Siegert and staff truly care for animals and it is clear in their work. My partner and I rescue senior dogs, and Port Moody Animal hospital are truly experts with the unique needs that our dogs have. We are so grateful for the work they do. Ethical, honest, and compassionate. We have used them for 5 years and could not dream of a better vet.

Jan 18, 2022 (**updated review at the END**) I have to buy special Unrinary SO for my and you can only order it from a VET. So as pricing has gone up almsot 40% since last year I had to phone around to see who had the cheapest 8 kilo bag. I phone this VET Port Moody Animal hospital. I got a price for the Hills CD both in fish and chicken and they said it was $78.50 for each bag. I was astonioshed so I had to double check. They confirmed. I still had some more vets to call to get thier pricing. After all my phoning I phones Port Moody Vet back and for a 3rd time I confirmed this price of $78.50 for the 8kg bag. Again they confirmed. SO I went ahead and ordered one of each flavour. I phoned today which was about a week later and they said it just came in. Great!!! I went their and the bags were their then they said it was $112.XX each. I said thats not true but nope they striaght out lied to me and couldn't belive how misled I was. Be very careful with this place because they will say one thing to you and complety do the opposite. WHo knows how many cutomers they screwed over if was the first time I dealt with this Vet. NEVER AGAIN!! January 19, 2022 **UPDATE** I received a call from the Manager of this Vet Hospital. I let it go to voicemail as I thought my dealings were done. But she left a very nice message which made me call them back. SHe explained their faults and honoured their price that was given to me when I made the order. I went to pick it up and Tracy the manager wanted to greet me and apologise one more time and wish me well. I did very much apreciate the honour here and retrack my origional message as it was how I was feeling after the origional experience. Not many business go this far to fix a comunincation error. So I changed my stars and apreciate the effort.

Our 3 month old puppy got in to something toxic in the backyard and we had to rush him to the emergency hospital we did not like the way staff handled our very emotional and stressful encounter there and after paying 1k there he still needed to be transferred to another vet as they closed at 8am and he still wasn’t better. We tried the vet I normally go to in Newport but they didn’t have a doctor in until 11 so we called here and they got made room for us to come right away. Everyone there were incredibly caring and understanding, they could tell what a hard night it had been for us and little Zuko and were very empathetic of that. He is doing much better now and the vets here were very informative as to what was going on with him. This will be my new vet for all of my puppy needs from now on.

I took in my one year old Labrador in today to get him neutered. The lady was so kind. She was patient, and I could tell she loves her job. She took such amazing care of my baby. Would 100% recommend people to come here

Dr. Blondel and the staff at PoMo Animal Hospital are the best I've ever experienced. I've had many visits to various vets in the lower mainland with my two rescues, who have complex medical and behavioural issues with mixed results but here it has been nothing but the best. In one instance I presented something Dr. Blondel had never seen before and, by the time I pulled up to the driveway, she called me back after consulting with a specialist colleague and established a diagnosis. They truly care and do their best for your pets. I have complete trust in this clinic.

Just moved to the area and took my older cat Warlock in for a check up, the staff was great, everyone was gentle with him and they were quick and thorough with their care. Also as someone with disabilities the clinic was well set up and I felt comfortable in the waiting room and exam room and was not forced to stand. Very happy to have PMVH be my new vet for Warlock and his little brother Sam.

We have two dogs and two senior cats, so our experiences with veterinarians have been pretty lengthy over the years. Dr. Siegert is one of the most caring, thoughtful and competent veterinarians we have ever worked with. My dogs are more excited to go to see her than any other place we take them! She has saved us thousands of dollars by catching a mis-diagnosis by a different vet, and she always opts for the most humane, reasonable approach to care for our pets. We recommend Dr. Siegert to every friend, neighbour or stranger that has or is considering getting a pet. Five stars all day long.

they turned me away because I didn't make an appointment to give a kitten it's first shots! It might have taken all of 3 minutes to do and they would have made over $75.00! Not very good business practice to me, plus lost a new customer in the process.

Judith and her wonderful, caring staff have been looking after Oakley since he was a puppy. We had to say good bye to him today and the experience was painful and heartbreaking but he was so relaxed and peaceful. Thank you for taking such good care of him for over twelve years.

Took my cat there with a tumor on her neck. They removed it and charged me over 600. When we went to pick her up, I mentioned that I would be putting the cone back on so she wouldn't be able to scratch and rip out the stitches. The vet kept telling me not to. I'm glad I did anyways because as it was healing it was itchy and she tried to scratch. Also the incision and stitching was uneven and there are now two new small lumps (one at the top of incision and one at the bottom) Very poorly sutured. I will not be going back to this animal hospital.

I can't begin to express I'm grateful I am Judith is now in our animals lives. She is compassionate, kind, gentle, patient, highly skilled and has a great sense of humor. She can tell you the full scope of her methodology but what I observed was someone who cares deeply about the psychological and physical well-being of the animals trusted to her care. I am a notoriously high maintenance customer especially when it comes to the things I love. In all my years with all my animals I have always left veterinary hospitals feeling like something was missing in the pit of my stomach, like I had somehow failed to effectively communicate how important my animals were to me. I don't write reviews but I'm writing this one because if one animal and one owner ends up going to Judith and her team as a result that is something I can know is good.

The best educated and compassionate Veterinarian. I love the fact that my dogs psychological well being is as important as her physical health. The focus is on animal well being not on pushing Vaccines. There is a good balance between western and holistic medicine. There is excellent client support both two legged and four legged.

I had an excellent experience at this clinic. We are new to Port Moody and my dog suddenly became sick, so I came to call this clinic based solely on Google reviews. All of the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful especially since I had to come to the appointment with my 3 young children. They accommodated the chaos and showed so much care for our precious dog. Dr. Isabelle was wonderful and explained everything thoroughly, gave me options and quotes.

Of all the Vets I have been to this is the most passionate and caring of them all. In my experience most vets prey on your love for your pet offering up unnecessary tests but the Dr always suggests sound advise to try a more holistic approach first. It's refreshing to go to a vet who takes the time to talk and answer questions without being rushed. Although maybe not as convenient as a place that you can get in immediately it is worth the wait to have a caring Doctor to look after your animals.
