The MAPANG house is a fantastic place to stay, with facilities provided; running water, air conditioning, meals and laundry for a charge, and a small convenience store. The hosts are both amazing (at the time of writing) and are very helpful. There is a good selection of stores and a market nearby. The only downside is a lack of internet access, but it's PNG.

I have stayed here at Mapang many times since 2011. It keeps getting better. Very clean, safe, comfortable bed, hot shower, tasty food. Helpful staff, friendly,kind. The home is in the best condition ever!

Mapang is well-kept and accommodating. It's the perfect place for people who enjoy meeting fellow travelers. Many things are shared: rooms (if no private rooms are available), bathrooms, meals, living areas, television, etc. Games and books are available in the common areas. Lunch, dinner, and internet are available but not included.
